What cable management system have you got back there?
That font issue is created by Apple, there's no reason font size should be tied to the laptop's resolution.
Apple users usually don't know what's possible outside the Apple eco system. They always think Apple has the best solution. Apple does a great job keeping the users in their cage.
HiDPi Mode is fine if you are ok with oversized GUI
what is your speaker connected to? and would the sound come from both the monitors? I'm assuming it would since the main source is still the macbook pro?
I forgot to ask. I saw you have Kando Yu2 speaker, right? How do you set it up for two monitors? If you use wireless headphones, any chance to connect to the speakers?

Yes! As long as both displays are hooked up to the laptop

The included KVM switch is surely something that should become standard for all monitors? (let alome ability to show two separate sources at the same time!) I've found my new monitor.... just need to find the money to buy it 😢

I love the monitor but I’m having an issue with determining how to lower it closer to my desktop and how to control the settings since there’s no buttons on the screen. The manual is useless and it seems like LG support isn’t sure about how this thing works.

Hi great review.I am also looking to buy the DualUp 28". Seems like you have a macbook Pro 14/16 (not sure exactly, I have MB Pro M1 14") and you have successfully connected two monitors to it. Could you please share how did you achieve this? Did you use usb c for both or a ucb C + hdmi? My current monitor is a 27" LG 4k UHD IPS which I plan to use in vertical position with DualUp.
I had my LG Ultrafine display hooked up to my Macbook via Thunderbolt and the Dualup hooked up via HDMI 💯🔥
Would there be a way to connect two monitors to each other and use just one usb-c cable to connect them into the macbook?@@renzsadiwa

I'm looking for a main monitor and torn between this DualUp or the 32"... I don't do any content creating or anything, just use the computer for work (Microsoft Office), RUclips, Spotify, etc ... would you push for this one or stick with the 32"? Thanks
Exactly same question Ive been asking myself. Either 2 x 32" ultrafines or this 27.6" + 32".
I think it comes down to personal preference of symmetry. I personally get a stroke when monitors don't match in size and it gets even worse when I'm moving around a window and it changes sizes, fonts and maybe even colors when transferred to the second monitor.
I bought the exact same monitor 2 times, calibrated exactly the same and put them on a dual monitor arm. If I'm in need of vertical orientation, i turn the second monitor 90 degrees and I'm perfectly fine
Excellent video! It's just a bit odd to have two single arms when LG could simply offer to upgrade to a dual-arm set up for the DualUp + another monitor. I don't get it :(
you can project 2 different sources? how? you put 2 hdmi and it works? or you need something extra?
Does this not need a dock to sync the displays? Are you comnecting one via USBC and one via HDMI?
I hooked it up to an Anker Thunderbolt dock

I was imagining what I would choose if I were to upgrade my desk setup with new LG Ergo monitors as replacements for the older Dell monitors with different desk mounts I previously had. Your setup is like what I imagined, except I would've had displays on either side rather than just the left. (Edit: I would've also had to replace the GPU as I have a GTX 10 series with a DVI dual-link port I use to run the largest of the Dell monitors)
Other than that, I saw the DualUp as working great for small desks, like one I have at my second home.

I got this monitor in April. I was very happy with the overal use etc. But yesterday i wanted to move it closer to me and something broke inside and i got a black screen. I called lg support and explained it and got an answer that shocked me. Its not covered by the warranty, and fixing the problem might cost more than buying a new one. I'm happy this happend because we were thinking on getting these monitors for our entire team @ the office.

You said it's wide gamut but what gamut ? How much adobeRGB ? How much DCI-P3 ?
Also , you implied it's not as color accurate as your Macbook but you didn't show how it's color accurate ; not even a brief description (e.g. color tint) .
