- Hey everyone! In today’s video, I have the incredible Keshia Buchanan from Sugababes joining me for a super honest and emotional conversation. Keshia opens up about a time in her career when she nearly quit singing, sharing the mental health struggles she faced and how it nearly led her to walk away from music.
We dive into topics like:
The pressures of the music industry and its impact on mental health
The personal battles Keshia fought to stay in the game
How she found the strength to reclaim her voice and career
The importance of mental health awareness, especially in creative fields like music
It’s a raw and inspiring conversation, and I’m so grateful Keshia was willing to share her story with all of us. If you’ve ever experienced self-doubt or felt like giving up on something you love, this video will definitely resonate with you.
I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments-let’s chat about mental health, resilience, and how we can support each other in this journey. Crazy watching this interview again after losing my Mum. I can relate to everything she’s says about losing a parent. Nothing can prepare you for it and it changes everything.
@@djmurray6152 sorry for your loss bbe ❤️ hope this interview helped 🙏🏾
She looks exactly the same as she did in 2010. Amazing voice and a lovely person it seems.
@@benwherlock9869 such a lovely person thank you for watching ❤️❤️
As a ‘Babes fan I’ve watched countless interviews with all members, and I’ve never heard Keisha speak of the “incident” before the band took off. I’d imagine something like that triggers a flight mode that you start to operate with in life to keep yourself “safe”. I’d also imagine in a young person that it shows itself as defensiveness, having a wall up. We are all born perfect and innocent. It’s life and experiences that create who we become. But with a knowledge of self, we don’t have to be a product of our pasts. I’m glad she’s continuing to do the work for herself.
Hey fellow “Babes” fan welcome. Thank you for sharing your views on this Keisha has such a beautiful soul inside and out and I’m so happy this was reflected in this interview. Clean hearts will always win ❤️
First time coming across your channel
Came for Keisha, was always intrigued as to how she coped with the blatant racism and lies about her.
Thank God she was surrounded by a good support system of family.
I'm so glad she's in a good place now.
Thanks for putting my mind at rest.
I'll be subscribing.❤😅
@@margaretanderson2839 awww thank you for this beautiful comment and yes she’s is a better place now. Welcome to the family ❤️❤️ appreciate you
WHOAh CHRIST ALMIGHTY KEISHA I WASN'T READY FOR "that incident story", you are a queen and strong
She is indeed 🙏🏾❤️
KEISHA You were my CHILDHOOD! I love you! Thank you for all of the joy you've brang me. I'm so sorry to hear about your S/A!
❤️❤️
Keisha you are such a queen! As a black female choreographer in this space I relate to so much of what you’ve mentioned! I can only imagine on the scale that you experienced things, how much you’ve overcome! Even more blown away (but not shocked!) by how much you achieved! Thanks for being an inspiration to us all! Love a fellow black woman creative 🤍🤎
P.S. I just subscribed Queen! Therapy with Shar seems like a beautiful space 🫶🏾
Thank you beautiful ❤️❤️
We love Queen 👑🖤
Absolutely love Keisha, such a beautiful precious compassionate talented lady

@@Janet-o4t thank you my lovely appreciate you, don’t forget to subscribe new interviews coming very soon x
This was really good. First time on this channel but I will definitely check in more. Keisha should be very proud of herself, she started off life as a talented young girl in the public eye and has grown into a beautiful poised young woman. Her dad is definitely proud of her.
Amen thank you yes Keisha is has such a beautiful soul, she’s even more amazing in person ❤️🙌🏾
The fact that I had to double check the title cause I couldn’t believe that it was actually her due to the fact that she looks stunning and young (and slay 💅🏾)
@@netkilrblx she truly is beautiful ❤️
This was a very beautiful interview. I'm not religious, but it was very touching. Great job
Thank you so much and Amen God was in the room I pray you seek him ❤️🙏🏾 God bless you
A proper vocalist and lady of the arts.
Trauma boxing the way KB did at such a tender age is really a tough way to do things but being in the music business can be so treacherous, that she subconsciously built up surface level thick skin to hide the true depths of pain.
Glad she's had forms of therapy to filter through the trapped feelings over the years to truly cleanse and shed, to help center herself!
Keisha I hope you definitely tap into truly living your fathers legacy by continuing to do the things that made him so proud of you. Music and being that princess is that core root.
High key Flatline is still that girl to me, amongst all the classic hits Sugababes created. All the best to KB and the ladies. LEGENDS!
❤️❤️❤️❤️🥹
First of all, how happy I feel for being a fan of someone so brave as Keisha. I have been a fan since forever and I've never heard she talking about that incident. If things already made sense before now the puzzle is complete. It takes a lot to be able to speak out on those things. Keisha is so down to earth and brave. When she says the bad things that happened to her were the best things actually cause they made her grow. That is a real person. I love the Sugababes since forever.❤
Shar, you are so adorable. Thank you for being so professional and respectful cause it was clear you are a fan❤❤❤. I subscribed to your channel.❤Love from Brazil.🇧🇷🇧🇷🥰
Awww thank you so much i appreciate you Keshia is amazing and I’m so blessed and grateful she wanted to share with me 🙏🏾 🇧🇷🇧🇷🙌🏾🙌🏾 welcome

Lovely 🙏🏿
Thank you hun ❤️
I would love to hear the girls singing some worship songs oh those harmonies would bring them to another level please. I remember the Jesus belt at t concert at Belfast waterfront with the three album. Heidi wore it but Keisha has it on another concert so whose was it ? Lol
Ahhh this would be heaven ❤️ chills thank you so much for watching
Girl you did not do your research? before interviewing her so many missed questions
Feel free to contact Keisha and do part 2 with her bbe ❤️❤️
@@therapywithshar I would not of needed to if you did a good job you knew nothing about her story and the things she has spoken about in the past.
@@therapywithsharYou did a great job Shar! Atleast the haters are STILL watching ❤
@@hellobye7697 😘😉 thank you bbe
@@hellobye7697 I was not hating would doing basic research on a guest not be what anyone would do? she was clueless
The fact all previous members of the group quit to get away from her speaks volumes. Her truth may not be the same as others experience.
Why do Londoners say arks for ask it is not difficult to understand, really
haha my cockney accent
❤
