Use Adobe for example. A trailing stop loss would be ineffective when a stock falls 13% premarket. More often than not these big swings happen as a result of earnings calls which take place pre and post market. Also, what happens in a flash crash? Or when the fed speaks and the index falls 300 points during the speech, then the news is digested and stocks reverse and rally. You get stopped out and miss the rally and exit a wonderful stock.
I like stop losses but they have their place. They sort of promote trading.
Would you suggest selling shares owned plus short the stock if you’re confident in your tech analysis?
What other indicators are there for the „strength“of a support/ resistance except for staying above/ below?

Nice video, but the scenario starts off with exiting the trade. The entry point would have been good to know.
Most platforms don't have a trailing stop loss :(

Technical analysis is nonsens ! Its a DESPERATE hope of some curves and lines telling you what to do like looking in a crystal Ball ! What moves stock are Macro and fundamentals ! The one and only reason it might work is only because of others using the same method! What earlier has caused a stock to drop or rise is specific macro and fundamental stuff. When it rise or falls later on is caused by new circumstances/info about macro/fundamentals!

IBKR and Tasty are the best platforms for options trading outside the US. IBKR offers paper trading (simulated trading) which is essential. The platform is a bit hideous, but we can help with that.
