This is a nice guide how to handle those cheaters. Thank you, Levy :-)
We just need to track ips and fine people to end the stupidity of these pathetic losers, i still have not cheated one person with an engine in 8 yrs, its called INTEGRITY people
This video taught me to play moves that are on opposite sides of the board to try and drive my opponent insane but then fail because my moves have no organiziation
@@SCthatsMe Ye, It's fairly obvious if the opponent for every move plays perfectly but I myself had a game where my accuracy was 98 Yes, I do mostly play the same setups which sort of explains my accuracy in some of my games, It's not consistent that I play that well but just cheaters existing makes me uncomfortable because If I have a game out of 200 where I play the perfect moves because I found them through deep thinking and accurately assessing my opponent's strategies that even though I play it fairly I might be flagged for cheating or something like that for playing good moves, even if It's only one in so many games and I lose plenty of games, for me using an engine during a game Is simply not appealing because It's a bit like buying a high elo account in league of legends or games with similar ladders, sure you have temporary bragging rights but if you never play on it or start playing and demote down to the rank where you actually belong then buying is just wasting money and just like that for me cheating in chess just seems like a waste, but I do really enjoy it when I actually manage to play over 90 accuracy after I look at it or have like past 80 accuracy Partly because I know Even though I surpassed 1000 rating I still make rook or queen blunders and so if I play well myself that is just something that makes the game more fun.
Imagine this guys a cheater
@@SCthatsMe too bad VPNs exist. You can use an VPN to open an account and you can play with VPN enabled your games. In the end VPNs are a good thing but the internet anonymity has its problems.
Maybe an rating limit would help. You could make people have to verify themselves after an certain ammount of rating. Or in case you win like 400 rating points in one day you are required to stop for 20 hours in case you don't have bought a rank.
Once played a cheater. The guy disconnected mid-way through a 10 min rapid, came back, sacced a rook, won my queen and mated me a few moves later. I reported and felt content that I will get my rating points back. A few minutes later I was banned from the chat for false accusations lol. I analysed that game and found that the rook sac was a blunder and it was just me playing shit
I get disconnected all the time because my internet sucks.
So analysis first
Do not report a cheater unless you can back it up. Levy is an IM. He can identify cheaters because he is a strong player himself. I was accused of cheating just yesterday. Imagine cheating in chess, a game of the mind. That just proves how mindless you are if you cheat.
why is cheating in a game of the mind any more surprising than cheating in physical games?
@@randombutspecific because say you cheat in baseball by taking drugs, it gives you a competitive advantage but you still have to do the majority of the work yourself. Cheating in chess you are literally just having a computer play all your moves for you, it's pointless and ridiculous.
I kind of want to argue that cheating actually can be useful for memorizing openings.
@@randombutspecific it's just weird to cheat when there's nothing on the line with anonymous accounts beating strangers online. It's like wtf are you doing. You play a game but in the end you played nothing, got nowhere..it's not even like you outwitted anyone cause everybody can do this.
cheating in physical games when there's nothing on the line either is pretty weird too. Like going on steroids just to win football games in the park or something.

Huge red flag.
