    I received delivery of my 2024 Model Y Performance on March 9. Black inside and out. I had an X3 before. I absolutely LOVE my MYP! I have the full self driving capability. I always control the climate from my phone anyway so the cabin will be cooled by the time I get in.

      Yeah, I got mine last June. The price was down twenty grand and I knew Tesla was trying to get rid of the stalks so I needed to get one while I could. The only two things I wanted on the new ones (bumper cam and power frunk) are simply not going to happen so I'm happy.

    I’ve had my 24 MY for about a couple weeks now. When you’re coming from an older car, like my 2011 mustang, none of these are a problem at all. The steering wheel is fine, the door panels are good, it looks and feels premium, not having cooled seats isn’t a issue. I think it’s all about perspective. If you’ve been in the Tesla brand for a while maybe these thing you notice but for those to us new to Tesla and EV’s in general, this car is literally perfect. I seriously have no complaints. Yes, you can wait for a refresh but I promise that you wouldn’t be mad if you got the 24 MY today, especially if you’re coming from an older ICE vehicle.

    We just picked up our model Y yesterday as we couldn’t pass up the $7500 tax incentive and another $2500 of for cars in inventory. We have as well a 2021 model 3 which we love as well. I can charge at work so 90 to 95% of my electricity on the 3 will be at work. We now are all electric vehicles as we sold our Subaru Outback. Used that money for the down along with all the incentives made the loan super low.

  • @jfly2249
    @jfly2249 8 месяцев назад +10

    Traded in my Outback for a MYLR and couldn’t be happier. $7500 + $3500 a free hitch and 10k super charger miles made the car 5k cheaper than an Outback limited or RAV4 hybrid before all the gas and maintenance savings. The Outback is a joke compared to the model Y. The model Y performs and handles like a sports car in comparison with about the same amount of cargo capacity. With the acceleration boost, the car is 0-60 in 4.2 seconds, crazy. Suspension is stiff, but the 19s make it pretty comfortable. Low frequency thuds seem to resonate thru the mostly glass cabin is my only gripe. The updated model Y is going to much more expensive than the current deals and the $7500 tax incentive could be gone before it comes out. So glad I made the jump, drives so much better than a regular car.

    As someone who own a 2023 MYLR purchased in mid-Oct. at the price of $48,490, I say don’t get the current 2024 MYLR. The free super charging is not worth it when the range of the full charge is 20 miles lower and the price is higher. If you waited this long, might as well wait for the refresh as the first quarter of 2024 is coming to an end.

    • @raheeb1
      @raheeb1 7 месяцев назад +2

      It’s not lower by 20 miles. Nothing has changed whatsoever hardware nor software-wise. It’s just the EPA changed their methodology is all. If they were to rank your 2023 in that same new test methodology it’ll get 310 miles as well.

    Coming from an '11 prius, '15 CRV, '14 Forester, and '12 Challenger, my new 24 Model Y LR is easily the best car I've ever driven! I think it's super quiet (obviously in comparison to what I'm used to) and it's really comfortable on the road. The seats are definitely a little sticky, so I'll be grabbing some seat covers. I got it 2 days ago and I feel like it was a steal with the price cut, trade in, and tax incentive. I won't be looking back.

The body control is better also, which helps make my opinion the ride is just better. It’s no less comfy imo on bad bumps. But it’s better in the control of the chassis in most directional changes and also the undulations in the road.

      I’ve had my Bolt EUV since Jan 2 2023 and it is the best car I have ever had after decades of new Honda’s. The Hondas were great cars but the Bolt is quick, quiet and maintenance and worry free. I do 99% of my driving within 50 miles and just plug it in a few hours a week. It feels solid and secure on the highway with tremendous lane thrust to get in the traffic flow and pass whenever necessary. I do want to get something bigger with longer range is possible. I’ve test driven almost everything out there except the Tesla which I might rent through Turo just to see how it feels. In many ways I feel like with an EV you almost can’t go wrong!

    My last car was a 2019 M3 and I tried the new 2024 M3 and... yes it's quieter and more comfortable but it's the same ride after all, yeah the ventilated seat is cool but. The main disadvantage of the M3 is that you can't pull anything, it's a simple sports car, There is no space in the trunk... I bought the MY 2024 Performance and it is good more comfortable and powerful and very useful, we understand why it is the car that sells the most. If you opt for Tesla it is certain that the depreciation will be there and even with the new models. Elon is unpredictable and if he drops prices by 5K everyone will lose money... it's a shame because Tesla used to keep good resale values..... The only real problem now with Tesla is It's Elon Musk with his unpredictability, he should leave Tesla and let responsible people manage it.

    This guy complaints about being warm in the seats. lol . Turn the ac on before you get in. Also that glass roof will make the car warmer inside.

      My comment was simply in comparison to my Model 3 cooled seats. Just saying I missed that.
      Relax

      😭 it was a microfiber cloth. I was constantly wiping stuff down so it was nice and clean and forgot it was in there

    I was forced to get a new car and I picked up a Model Y performance last week because my 2020 Model 3 was totalled. I was able to transfer my FSD and got a few thousand off in addition to market adjustments already available (cyber truck reservation holder lol and free color upgrade). So it was the best deal I could get quickly.
    My advice is to not buy a Tesla at all. Wait for an Rivian R2 if you can (which I have a reservation for as well) or pick any one of the dozen better cars coming out next year - BMW, Merc, Hyundai, Cadillac, Volvo, Polestar, VW, Audi the list goes on.
    I literally can't imagine why anyone would chose a Tesla In a couple of years given that the supercharger network is now open to all and they are dead last in autonomy and can never even get to L3 with their stupid antiquated tech. I even had to sign a waiver that I accept ultrasonic sensors are not available in the 2024 model. Oh I also now have to get my backup camera replaced already. It was grainy from the factory.. Wtf?? My 15 year old escalade had a better quality camera and Tesla was arguing with me about the quality. Clearly HW 4.0 means nothing.
    I am glad this fraudulent companies days as a leader are soon coming to an end. Yes I am salty about having paid 7k$ for the empty promise of FSD. It's unusable and Tesla fanboys can't admit it and claim V12 beta or whatever is amazing. It'd not.. These jokers are worse than apple fan boys.. Can't wait to dump this POS. Maybe I'll buy a Macan next year instead of the R2.

      I review cars for a living and I find the HW4 cameras to be the best quality on vehicle cameras in the industry. That’s unfortunate that you had to get one fixed, but that doesn’t change the quality.
      Also I know people like to crap on FSD bc it’s easy. But there are absolutely no other systems that can do what it can do. Even in its current learning state. Have you tried v12?

      Today, I let FSD drive me from
      Start to finish a good 65 miles each way from the congested city, to the freeway, then to the tight and twisty mountain road, to the ocean coast. And then let it drive me back home all the way afterwards. Not a single issue at all. Total game changer for real.

    Agree 100% with @raheeb1's take on the 2024 Model Y Performance! Title of your video suggests it's a review of the 2024 MYP. But, you failed to demonstrate all of the KPPs (key performance parameters) of the MYP. I'll tell you a quiet cabin, soft comfortable ride, ventilated seats, etc. are not KPPs that draw hardcore drivers to the MYP. Caution: please try to refrain from executing a sharp left with your 2024 Tesla Model 3 RWD (having sloppy soft suspension) at speed that you will see in this short video clip: ruclips.net/video/D_45EO5BauU/видео.htmlsi=5kF4SGUUTH9Jt-e_ Hint: It's a 2024 MYP under full human control clearing the traffic light under yellow, since it's rather unsafe to stop at that distance from the intersection when the light unexpectedly turned yellow.

    Ill probably take the new 80kw ioniq 5 if I go for a new EV in 2024. If not Ill opt for Juniper in 2025

    Too much plastic. Fake leather feels cheap. Regenerative braking all the time. Blows. Big time. POLESTAR and Kia EV6 for the same price has more features and better fit and finish with a better warranty
