Ball was not in play. No reason for ANY player to push ANY player out of the way.
Now I could be wrong but personally I think. If the situation were reversed and it was a bunch of white players doing that to a black player they would be screaming racism.

The elbow didn't appear to be intentional by Clark (but let's not pretend she's some innocent little dove) but the trash talk afterwards was.
The play received a flagrant-- it deserved it but Caitlin's not some damsel in distress.

People CAN do whatever they want in real life, that's how she was able to respond to the elbow and taunting from Caitlin. Emotions get the better of people, sometimes-- it's called being human. Athletes know about human moments during competition. CC's new "fans" forget all logic and reasoning while caping for her-- they also have amnesia about her toughness, grittiness, and headplay-- she's not an innocent damsel in distress. Simmer down.

No, this is not okay! She wasn't even in possession of the ball. She was waiting for an inbound. As a fan of both the NBA and WNBA, it's common for players to play hard at times but you have to draw the line when players are being targeted. Whether Caitlin and them wants to admit it, there is a bit of jealousy from some players within the League especially when one player is gaining much attention and credit. Some players don't want to act soft and complain but what will happen when that hard play or dirty play leads to an injury and your career is over before it begins? 🤔 That's not the culture we want in any of those Leagues.

The foul against Caitlin was not even called a flagrant foul. After the game was over it was upgraded to a flagrant. Carter should have been kicked out of the game.

It is clear that Whoopi and Sunny didn’t see the play. There’s a major difference between a physical/contact play in the midst of the game and blindsiding someone before the ball is even in play. It should have been a flagrant 2 like the foul against Reese was called. Carter should’ve been ejected. People don’t want to acknowledge what is going on here. There IS resentment toward Clark. There just is. That’s a fact. It may even be reasonable. These women have been trying to build this league and get recognition through viewership for years now and then this rookie comes along and does that almost instantly. Of course there’s going to be resentment but to pretend it doesn’t exist and that that isn’t part of what’s going on here is ignorant. Plus, Carter went to social media after the game and explained how she feels about Clark. She also has a history of being let go and benched by teams because of these type of things. Saying this is just part of the sport is dumb. At least what Thomas did to Reese was during gameplay. What Carter did wasn’t. People want to downplay both Clark’s importance to the sport and the resentment that comes along with that, but doing so will only allow these type of things to continue to happen.

All I hear is stupidity from them. Caitlin is pushing people to watch women's NBA in a positive and professional way. And the way Chennedy said in that interview, how is that alright for a black person to say where she could have injured another player. Look what Britney Griner has done, and what she did as a black person done to have people watch the sport besides getting arrested. Many players are just being jealous.
