  • This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Everybody's got a plan until they get punched in the face. What kind of fighter are you?
After seven years, two incomplete degrees and a student loan debt she describes as from here to Africa, CJ Hendry decided to chase her dream. Armed with only paper and pen, she creates magnificent, photorealistic black-and-white images in large format, creating a sensation in the art world and around the globe.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

    This adorable simplity 😍😍
    The thing is
.. You should not let your brain rule and make the plan all the time.
Your heart will lead you, one way or another to the porpuse of your existence.

I’ve always wanted to be on a Ted talk but was nervous as to how I’d present but she inspired me to pursue it and not worry about how to say things. Just go with the flow. Be casual :). Moreover, I also realized it’s ok to pursue something that’s not related to your degree. I have three degrees and not really using any of it and interested in something completely different.

awesome to see this! I love your work! And so cool to hear your story! I never knew you basically just came up! Based on your work I had the mind set that you've been around in the art world for years and years and years! And its so cool to really hear stuff from another artists perspective! I totally get what you mean about the first sale thing! I was so stoked my first sale as well. Haven't dropped out of college yet really because I don't make enough with my design work but so glad to see another artist makin it just doing what you love! I hope to get there one day by just continuing to roll with the punches! I love your work and have been following you for awhile on instagram! Congrats on getting to be on TedxBrisbane as well(: Instagram:christianw95

Two types of boxers? One is tight and anxious and the other visualizes themselves getting hit? Sure that might have sounded good in your head, but it is complete nonsense.
