I don't follow the regular season closely, so as long as I get to see my local teams once in a while I'm happy. I'm all about the playoffs. That's where the real action is. But I didn't hear you say much about NFL+. I subscribed when they offered a discount around the Super Bowl, so I could watch and rewatch those last few critical playoff games to see that the league champions in the Super Bowl were both spectacular teams with awesome defenses, so I knew that each point was going to have to be really hard fought for. I was not disappointed.
You’re missing a lot of good football if you think the playoffs are where all the action is. Plus some of the playoff games can be blowouts. Like Philly beating the giants 38-7 in 2022.
@@chaseheckaman2654 I became sold on the playoffs when I saw Kellen Winslow block field goal attempt after field goal attempt after field goal attempt after having to be carried off the field after each successful block. I've also seen a lot of teams hold back their best players to protect them from injury during the regular season so they could perform well in the playoffs. The teams seem to be holding back during the regular seasons so they can go all-out during the playoffs.
In Canada we get the Thursday night games on TSN (The Sports Network). You have to have the NFL network for their games. Monday Night Football airs on TSN. I don't know when TSN's contract is up for negotiation with the NFL but it could make things a lot crazier in Canada if we are driven to streaming.
I am set for the fall sports season. I have Peacock, amazon prime and an OTA antenna for locals. This is a better setup than cable, but of course they will charge more for Internet. But even that is better than cable
My condolences for you and your family Luke sorry I've been offline due to net issues for nearly 2 weeks sending love light life hugs posituve energy blessed be )0(
I believe the least expensive way to view all games (including primetime) in your local market is through nfl+ at a cost of $6.99 per month (25% military discount) Only drawback is games can only be viewed on phone or tablet.

Cord-cutting is absurd when you have to replace it with a dozen different pay services. Btw, last year Prime Video streamed their broadcast for free on Twitch.
You have excellent information and even more importantly, you make a rather boring subject must watch TV. I don't know if it's your "Brokaw" like voice and cool delivery or the fact I always learn something from you. Keep up the good work, and thanks for the great information!
I am planning on watching games on regular TV and streaming service likw Amazon Prime Video and Netflix because I have a family member sign up for them. I might watch the first Friday NFL game at my cousin's house in September. The 4:25 pm. games are major games, including I will be watching the Lions late Sunday afternoon 3 times during the 2024 season. The Lions will feature in the FOX's America's Game of the Week twice during the 2024 NFL season. The dates are October 13 and November 3.
Fyi: I looked into paying Peacock annually to save a bit. For some reason my plan does not have that option. It was originally free through xfinity. They told me I had to turnoff auto renewal for the monthly subscription to do so - the only way to turn it off is to cancel the plan. When I tried to cancel they offered me six months for 1.99 although the bill says its 3.99. I guess that’s because I’ve been paying 2.99 since the xfinity free period ended. Will try to pay annually again at the end of the six month offer.
I hope you are right about it being a passing trend... I don't think it wil be though, there it so much money in sports and everyone wants a piece of that pie
A whole lot easier years ago when the NFL was on CBS and NBC, with Monday Night Football on ABC. Of course, there were the satellite packages for the NFL for out-of-market games.
Unfortunately, a side effect of the rise of streaming services and moving away from cable. More options for people to watch, but more opportunities for services and leagues to squeeze every cent out of consumers. They took advantage of all of the different services by making them exclusive to watch rather than additions. More inconvenient to watch and ends up costing way more than it did the previous year to watch the same exact thing.
I got the NFL app to watch my team and watch games but once in the app you still have to have subscriptions to other apps or cable….so what’s the point of having the NFL app
This is pure greed They need to learn from the NHL they tried that crap decades ago and it didn't go to well. I'm not paying to watch. If I already have the platform for free through other services I have I still might not watch
Sunday Ticket on RUclips is a lie, they say EVERY out of market game. I had Sunday ticket for 2023. In addition to my local games (Denver) at least 3 other games were blocked, usually completive teams you'd care to watch. Sunday Ticket on RUclips is a LIE 👎👎👎
Hmm, Media companies trying to keep their revenue up after teams/players figured it out (Media making millions on athletes) Now that players are demanding more, media decides to step away from PB and move to streaming (Fan based cost). So, it's pretty simple.... fans need to stop their addictions and stop paying/viewing real-time... otherwise, it keeps getting worse. Customer ultimately has the choice. I choose not to waste my money on overpaid, cocky players, all as a result of Media driven greed. Media destroyed NFL, and won't be long before college is destroyed as well.
It got so loaded with commercial advertising breaks that I just stopped watching it altogether a few years ago. I just wish NBC wouldn't have migrated all their sports content (even minor sports) behind the 'Peacock' wall.
This video is incredible bullshit. This guy has no clue what he's talking about. If you know anything about the internet, you can watch any NFL, NHL MLB or NBA game for free with no blackouts.

It's absolutely ridiculous
As long as I get all games of my local team over-the-air, I'm good. I shall pay $0.00 again this season to watch my Packers here in Milwaukee.
If it does not come on OTA i just wont see it.
I believe you said the wrong yearly price for PEACOCK
It could be $1/month and I still wouldn't buy it.

What? Who said you get there product for free?
NHL on USA was at its best.
How in the hell is peacock almost $350 a year for no commercials!!!!
I just watch whatever is broadcast over the air.
I don't have thr time or the money to be dedicated to the NFL
