On my Solo trip to explore North Sikkim. Starting my journey from Gangtok.
In the episode I will take you to places around Gangtok.. Nathula pass, Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial and Tsomgo Lake or Changu Lake.
Nathula Pass - Situated at a distance of 53 km from Gangtok and at an altitude of 14,450 ft, it is one of the most important Himalayan Passes on Indo- Tibetan border. It is a must see place if you are in Gangtok.You will need a permit to visit this place.
Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial - It is a unique destination, situated at a distance of 8 kms from Nathula pass and at an altitude of 13,123 ft. It is dedicated to a soldier of Indian Army, Baba Harbhajan Singh often regarded as 'Hero Of Nathula'. It is said that Baba protects the soldiers at the border and warns the Army about any attacks at least three days in advance before they actually occur.
Tsonmgo Lake or Changu Lake - It is a glacial lake, situated at a distance of 40 kms from Gangtok and at an altitude of 12,313 ft. It remains frozen throughout the winter season.

Poonamji, you refreshed my Sikkim memories that I visited exactly ten years ago. We had visited the places you showed.
When we visited Baba Harbhanji's temple, devotees there told that when one prays before Babaji, He listens to the prayer and showers blessings to help cure your health problems of the organs below abdomen.

Beautiful and as white as it is seems pure and untouched 💕
You know we stayed in New Jalpayi guri for two years as my father was posted there but I was 6-7 yrs old then . I do have some fond and thrilling memory of that place 👌
