Lining out is a most beautiful way of Praising God with our voices. This blessings was shared out to the Americas by the Scottish and Irish free church brothers and sisters centuries ago and has also influenced the black spiritual songs of the states. Simple, unpretentious and allows the poor that can not read well to sing. it is far more powerful as praise and worship to me than most of the new songs churned out by the 'worship leaders' of today. thankyou, i, glad i found your channel. im relatively new to the metrical psalms and this is helping me to learn the tunes better than by music. God bless you.
Interesting fact: this was sung by the militia on the Green in Lexington, Massachusetts on that misty April morning in 1775, as British troops marched down the pike. The shot heard 'round the world that sparked the American Revolution. The Psalter had been immensely popular in New England for generations since the Mayflower when it was first brought over from England.
'His praise ''forth tell'' ' - truly a wonderful Psalm wonderfully sung. Praise God!
