Our potato digger lifts 6 drill at a time only the driver needed and the loading truck...Runs 24/7 for 10 weeks and 3 crops per year 4.800 hectares register on the clock multiple that by 3..
Well I must say that’s quite a potato digger. I’ve seen quite a few Massey Ferguson attachments, but never seen one of those. Works great. If the ground was a bit dryer, that would be nice. Could have used one of those a few years ago. Have a great day. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
Best folk on RUclips , best folk in Ireland !! Great all round from bro to liv to uncle Ian to father Phil , we love u all , thanks , and here's to a successful year ahead for ye all 💕💕💕
Great Craic pickin the spuds, far more so than when I used to do it as a child 😃 Happy Christmas to you Phil,Liv and all the Stewart faimly, have a wonderful Christmas 👌
Spent a few yr on a harvester just the same till we got a ransome faun...same thing...family all working together... didn't seem anything special at the time but looking back...Great days
The wee 35 and the 711 kings of their day, many a day l spent on them, A great fami!y gathering i deed, and bro is a star in the .making, brilliant video☺☺☺
I have never seen such a contraption in my life, fierce handy yoke. I think father Phil needs something with a lower gear though, yez are under serious pressure, no time to scratch your nose. Happy Christmas to the whole tribe from the hills of Donegal.💪👍😀
Good to see the whole family out on the job. Happy Christmas to you all and hopefully Ian is in good enough form to enjoy the Christmas. The 35 is purring like a kitten 😸.
Amazing watching the vintage machines 👌 and ya all having a great day of fun with hard work love ❤ what ur doing bet they taste as good as the look thx for the content
Great video.we used to grow potatoes back in the 90s always fun digging them late in the year like yerself.happy Christmas to you and family and all the best in 2022.
Phil this brought back some awesome memories of working on the MF potato harvester - my parents planted around 15 acres a year and using the same setup to lift the spuds as you have, hard work but great fun.
I was getting dizzy watching until the stone got stuck, great job with the container for storage, we stored our spuds in “pits” back when in the day, a straw lined mound covered with earth. “go get the spuds or the dinner” I was told, so off to the pit to dig out a few spuds, hit the mound a few wallops to clear the rats before digging and any bit of the spud with a nibble on it was cut off, not sure how I’m still alive.
Considering how late you are lifting that went quite well. To cut down on the number of green potatoes next year plant the spuds in 30" drills not 26". This will allow you to earth up the drills higher to cover the growing crop. Possibly your sprayer is set to 60" wheel centres ,you will have to set one of your vintage tractors to 60" centres to plant and ridge the crop. No need to tell you lot to have a merry Christmas as I'm sure you will .Hope you have a good new year as well. I'm into classic cars and we usually have a trip to Ireland in the spring ,always have a brilliant welcome when we do. Haven't been able to go for 2 years now but next time we go will try and venture a bit further north and see you
Great video farmer Phil nice crop of spuds 🥔 good 👍 to see the family helping merry Christmas to you and your family @ happy new year 🥳🎅🎅🎅🥳🥳🎅🥳🥳stay safe
I used to plant potatoes in my garden. Here in Wisconsin USA by Christmas ground is usually frozen so I would cover some hills with leaves to prevent freezing so I could dig some fresh for Christmas. To me potatoes taste best when fresh dug.
Cushy number for father Phil with the spuds, well done. Really enjoy your videos, keep up the good work and a happy Christmas to you and liv and all your family.
This is Linda's husband. Happy Christmas Phil and liv and family. I hope uncle Ian is well. Thanks for all the videos through out the year. You are better than Rte any day. Hopefully one day I will get to your farm.
Nothing wrong with a bit of old school digging and some elbow grease. That said looks a lot easier that the Ramone digger we have. A lot to be said for some work gloves when picking spuds Phil, surely you could have found a few to keep the hands warm 😀.
One of the best vids of the year, Phil, loved watching the spuds coming out of the ground, and the shit stirrings was so funny. Merry Christmas to you all and may you have a Happy, healthy and prosperous New Year! 🌲🌲🎁🎁🦘🦘🦘
Tough ould slog Phil I'd say, would ye get some losses with speed of table?? Merry Christmas to you and yours and thanks for all the entertainment you give us!

I imagine the pigs would have a wonderful time gobbling up potatoes that the machine misses or that are tossed aside. lol. any chance of giving the pigs a potato day out? great video. Looks like fun despite the complaints from the peanut gallery.
Well done all a big effort though I remember picking them by hand as a kid and picking machines. Read your fleet profile in Classic tractor a few months back. You do love your Massey. Have liked and subscribed.

Instead of "letting it dry" I would run that implement through a shallow creek. If no creek is available a 5cm fire hose would suffice.
Well I must say that’s quite a potato digger. I’ve seen quite a few Massey Ferguson attachments, but never seen one of those. Works great. If the ground was a bit dryer, that would be nice. Could have used one of those a few years ago.
Have a great day. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
I'm telling you Fader Phil handled the 35 like hernry handles a Hurley stick .sweet .
Good on Phil for keeping up the stereotype that the Irish are obsessed with potatoes. Love the video all the same.
