Pietrangelo/Reilly Tanev/OEL McCabe/Benoit I would love that D. And the Leafs would still have like 2 million cap space and be compliant. So by the trade deadline it would be like 3 mil the way the cap system works. To add another forward!
its good on paper but also losing marner would hurt PP scoring no doubt look i aint here to change your mind d would be better but man idk 9m for pieter for 3 more yrs idk..but guess will see
@@skins0769 He has a 43 goal season an a 24 and 30goals season. He also has 6 season where he scored under 20 goals. He has a ring yes but that doesn't put him in the elite class. 60 points last year puts him tied for 88th in the league.
If that's a deal to be done Vegas would need to add. Likely a First and retain some salary. I like the deal , just that its a deal that should be done 5 years ago. Still I like the two players and if we're taking on two over 30 players with term at high cap hits term . They nerd to add at least a first to make it palatable.
It's just great to hear that Jake Muzzin is still taking an active roll on the Leafs with these young defensemen, and I'm reading a relationship developing between Muzzin and Ben Danford also! From what I'm reading Muzzin is taking to his new role in scouting for leafs like my ex to tequila! These young defensive prospects can't do any better than to have a mentor like Jake Muzzin!! It doesn't make sense at all for the leafs at this point. We need someone who's not gonna retire soon to build chemistry with Rielly. No thanks on Pietro especially for Marner and Lilly. Karlsson is a good fit to replace Tavares's. Its Theodore if anything. Otherwise cap space is more important.
@@skins0769 i talking more about if add up both salaries they exceed marner over all one is making 5.9m other 8.8 do the math and peter at 8.8 is in decline you want to spend almost 9m on ageing defenseman that is barely a top 4 at this point. and for 3 more years handcuffing them even more ok lol..but trade marner away for basically nothing and say i dont know anything about hockey yeah ok lol.

Not if the coach doesn't want him. Marner refuses to be physical. Berube will not put up with hat for long. Bench him fr a while, and he'll waive his NMC.

You guys rock! I love Mitch Marner and trading away an elite player should never be an option. From Raymore Ontario.
Pietrangelo/Reilly
Tanev/OEL
McCabe/Benoit

30 teams missed the boat on Webber for a six round pick, l don't think so. To call Karlsson elite is a stretch.
Call the wambulance!
He’s a multiple time 30 goal scorer and Stanley cup champion. He might not be elite but he’s damn good.

@@late3619 Ya and Marner has done nothing and has horrible playoff stats. He’s an undersized winger who disappears when it get’s tough.

nobody is giving you even that for a one year rental of Marner
Pietrangelo is the same age as Tanev, so if you wanna send 13 years of marner for 4 years of Pietrangelo. Go for it.

Good trade for the Leafs, but why would Vegas give up more than 40 pts for Marner?

Come on guys Shanny will not have the guts and will to trade Mitch he will walk with no return period
Trading Mitch will save his job. It's happening
Jonathan Huberdeau from Mitch Marner trash for trash perfect
Literally the dumbest comment on the internet
Shea Theodore instead of pietranglo
Not a chance he’s not even close to as good.

Toronto loses this trade 100% Theodore and Karlsson is better.
That’s a silly trade, taking back more cap
would be a terrible trade for toronto getting 2 overpaid players over just keeping marner a perenial all star and top player.
How is Karlsson at 5 million overpaid lol do you know anything about hockey. Also Pietrangelo is still a top 4 D man that is amazing in the playoffs.
