When Jeff is outside of his apartment ranting about his wife it's loosely based on the scene from Taxi Driver (1976) where Martin Scorsese's character explains how he's gonna kill his cheating wife
gta 4 did a perfect job of showing the dark side to this kind of life i think gta works best when its highlighting gang violence and the consequences of it even after this game you win but it doesnt really feel like a win and you get a vivid reminder of the things you lost to get that win

I always steal the hit & run driver's car before he has a chance to drive off. I mean, he did do Jeff's wife a favor by accidentally no killing h before he could murder her, but he didn't know that, and still drove off after knowing damn well he killed the man.
Honestly, I feel this gets a bit too needlessly dark, even by GTA 4 standards. I'm not offended by it, but it never feels like there's much motive to do this guy's missions; it's not criminal underworld dealings, it's just helping out a psychotic asshole who stabbed his wife 50 times. Niko should have shot the bastard then and there. The dark elements of GTA 4 are great for the most part, but this seems excessive. And yeah, Eddie Low is creepy too, but he also strikes me as intellectually disabled or a low-functioning autistic. Not that it excuses what he did, but I feel Jeff should have far more self-awareness to him, whereas Eddie is too far gone. Plus, Niko doesn't really know what he's getting into at first with Eddie.
Which platform are you playing this on? It seems very smooth and good looking when you play it because this game is known for being very badly optimized.

You can actually kill his wife and/or the guy. Jeff will get mad and his random encounters will stop since the game registers it as completed.
Niko have limits, but also i don't think that at this point we would do the same stuff of what he did: dumping the body of an innocent person.
