There's a plothole with Jim's death. Niko killed him when he met in that alleyway but somehow he was back in Ray's place.
I'm thinking he went back there to warn the other biker of what happen at Ray's when Niko showed up.
@@chrisphelps4552 that’s exactly what happened b/c as Jim and Johnny are fleeing Rays he tells Johnny he’s gonna go get the rest of the lost brothers that were based in Algonquin in that alley and that they were most likely planning to attack the restaurant and kill Ray but Niko prevented that from happening.

It's always been 3 protagonists, the 3D era had 3 characters as well, only in different timelines. The concept has been evolving until GTA V.

I dunno why Johnny was so stupid to steal the cash and get on the bad side of Ray, we all know what would happen and the consequences of it.
It does feel slightly out of character, considering Johnny wanted to get the heat off of the Lost. Why would he put his brothers in danger when he could walk away with a bit less money?
It was not stupid. They were ambushed and the whole situation was violent and chaotic. It was smart of Johnny to claim that the cash got lost during the shootout and that he had to run for his life.
His only mistake was that he did not expect Niko to know what actually happened and telling Ray the truth. If it wasn't for Niko, Johnny would have walked away with the 2 million while Ray would have blamed Luis and Tony and the buyer.
I guess Jonny did this cause he knew about Ashley and Ray.

Additionally the entire time during the game Johnny is worried about heat and yet he does 2 drug deals, steals two million from a member of the mafia, and even kidnaps Roman. Some crimes because of Ashley's addiction. All while the FIB is watching The Lost MC and even calling him up. (They should have had more than enough evidence) Rockstar screwed the mission up by having Ray's guys show up like that (He asked you for the money after the fact making the shootout a paradox). But I guess they needed to give you a shootout to deal with.

Those deals were just ways to make money and keep their gang afloat, financially.
Kidnapping Roman wasn't even his choice. Did you even pay attention?
Ashley and Johnny were threatened at gunpoint by the Russians. It was either kidnap Roman for them or they kill Ashley.
And as for screwing over Ray...
Considering what happened, it was comparitively safe to steal the money.
The whole thing escalating into a bloodbath was supposed to be the perfect cover up for the money theft, since nobody was supposed to know what the hell was going on.
So yeah, not really out of character.
Just trying to make money without too much of a risk.
And again, the sudden massive shootout, was supposed to cover it up...
Too bad Niko paid attention and Ray didn't believe Johnny's words.

Pedro Henrique those guy weren’t apart of the original liberty city/Alderney chapter so they weren’t there when it happened all they know is that before tlad the lost still were a cohesive unit and that’s when billy was in jail but was still chapter president and before Johnny became full time president so in their eyes when they take that into account and what happened in sandy shores and the fact that their not from the original lost chapter it would be easy for them to think that billy was a better leader than Johnny

I didn't know Jhonny would appear in the same mission in GTA 4
When you think about it Johnny's fate was sealed in the Diamond part of the storyline. If had just returned the money to Ray after the botched deal Jim would still be alive. Not to mention how after Jim's death the Lost which was already fractured with feds and the AOD on their tail added the mafia to the list which was more heat they didn't need.
23:39 There's actually an incredible mod now that fix and replace the old models with the new ones for all the 3 stories.

Actually Luis has the same voice actor as TBoGT, but in TBoGT he redubbed his lines with less emphasis on his accent in the shared scenes.

Jim should have stayed alive his death made no sense 9:23,19:38. 6:19 I did not know that Johnny is scared of Niko. Also Johnny wearing his default jacket and the lader is gone in the measum.
I don’t think it was actually Jim that died in No Way in the Subway in GTA IV. The model, voice and general demeanour don’t match TLAD Jim.
I think the fat white biker had the money while Jim was held captive and some random Lost MC biker decides to hang out with him there. Then whenever both perish at Niko’s hands, one was probably misidentified as Jim.
For some reason when you play that mission from Luis’ perspective in the Ballad, his voice line is the same but has a less intimidating tone than seen here

I really don't get all the hate towards Ray. To my recollection, he never stabbed anybody in the back. He could be slimy but seemed straight. Johnny and Jim go down in my estimation and show themselves not to be men of complete integrity when they make off with Rays money.

Man, yesterday i rewatched the Johnny's death in GTA V. And only now that i toke a second look in that cutscene from the moment trevor was having sex with ashley until johnny dies, seems like that he was caught up by the drugs too, the guy was way more skinny than in TLAD, without forces to confront trevor, the guy was just weak and almost bending over trevor. Seems like Johnny going into a relationship with ashley again got himself into her world of drugs too and made him met his own tragic end.

The reason people don't look on the GTA IV game to fondly is due to the lack of gameplay features that was in GTA: San Andreas had. You went from GTA: SA which had revolutionary features to series to GTA IV.
I’m enjoying the GTA 4 and DLC play throughs keep up the great work I’m not only having a great time watching a play through of my favorite GTA games but also I’m learning a lot more lore thanks to your explanations in the videos!

Johnny and Niko would technically be "associates" of the Pegorinos, considering Ray's one of the top dogs of Jimmy P. By technicality, they're teammates...unless either of them got hired to kill the other.
Hello Everyone, and Patrick keep making great content man I have been a fan of you since early 2019 when I first watched your GTA analysis videos like GTA biggest betrayals and the most annoying gta characters and I completely agree with all of your points and opinions on each gta game. I grew up playing GTA San Andreas and GTA 4 the most out of all of them and both of them are still today my favorite gta games especially San Andreas for its amazing open world and the insane amount of stuff you can do and it still has the biggest map out of all the gta games including gta 5 which probably has the 2nd biggest map, GTA 4 definitely has the best written story though and Niko Bellic is a fantastic main character.
GTA SA map is 36 km², GTA V is 81 km², although SA is bigger in terms of having 3 cities and a bunch of villages (right word?)

I don't live in America so I'm not a expert on that type of stuff I honestly just know my information on Los Angeles California, New York City, along with a few other American states from all of the movies,shows and video games I grew up watching and playing throughout my childhood. From what I remember doesn't the United States in total have like 50 states? Canada all though its a bigger country has only 10 provinces and 3 territories and our population is much smaller then the population in America.

@@chuck600 Yeah real life geography doesn't matter that much when we are discussing the square of video game worlds, but Rockstar made their fictional cities in the GTA universe like GTA 4 and GTA 5 Liberty City and Los Santos closely resemble their real life influential real life cities Los Angeles California and New York City in my opinion they definitely did their research when developing their GTA games.

This mission did really a good job of tying the 3 games in naturally. Also ray was a scumbag, since he tried to torture Jim and threatened Johnny, showed how scummy he is and i liked how they made it that the protagonist is the one who betrays someone rather than vice versa.
Late but Johnny ripped ray off and payed for it
About the Libertonian, it's undergoing renovations at the time and the groups can easily get the camera footage by bribing security, meaning it's not such a poor location in the right scenarios. Only problem was Tony found out and Luis went on intercept. Johnny took advantage of it though.
