As far as I know RDR2 was made and written by a completely different studio office than NA. So the best we have to draw off of for the future quality is GTA online. Which... Wooff. Might be the first sub 7/10 GTA game. At least they'll have a fresh money printer though.

@@lennartj.8072 Undead Nightmare was good and definitely better than the standards for DLC content today but it had nowhere near as much content and value as either of the GTA 4 DLC's. It was more of just a small little side mode compared to the full new games that the GTA 4 DLC's gave you.
@@Blanksin-rh1tu It offered almost as much playtime as either of the Episodes according to HowLongToBeat and was literally half the price on release, $9.99 as opposed to 19.99 for each of the GTA 4 DLC. It also had a story and side content just like them. If you didnt like it as much that's subjective but objectively (in regards to value) it's up there.
Blood and Wine for The Witcher 3 was amazing, Xcom 2 War of the Chosen also comes to mind.
The bank heist is actually a mission in GTA 4's Niko and the funny thing is that you actually see the cutscene from the perspective of Niko and Luis is in it too.

In fact, being an NPC in the original GTA 4 story, you can even shoot and kill Luis during that mission, but obviously it's non-canon considering this DLC.

A lot of things in TBoGT intersect main story. The idea of it all revolving around the diamonds is great tbh

Its crazy how even after Johnny goes through all of this he ends up being a stain on Trevor's boot
The way they ended his arc was probably one of the most realest thing rockstar has done to any of their character. Johnny literally became a junkie and him going off like he did gta 5 shows how addiction can f up your whole personality and life once you get into it really bad!

Y'know Victor Vance didn't exactly end up better either. I know he had his backstory written after his death, but Rockstar tends to make their protagonists go against their own principles and die as a result.

Lost and the Damned and Ballad of Gay Tony are amazing DLC. That’s why it’s so disappointing rockstar never did DLC for GTA 5 and RDR2.

Technically you do get dlc in GTA online maybe not single player dlc rdr2 is kind of disappointing considering we got undead nightmare for rdr

What I loved about this DLC is that it was the first GTA game to add checkpoints in the missions if you fail them, so you don’t have to start from the beginning

The ballad of gay Tony in my opinion is the better of the 2 DLC for Gta 4 in was just so fun

The Ballad of gay Tony felt like more time had been put into it, lost and damned was a little easy and all of the missions were just shootouts

Original ending C was supposed to be franklin dying, and then after you completed the story you’d play as lamar instead of franklin. but during the time they wanted to do it lamar’s voice actor went to jail. So they scrapped it.
What lamars voice actor got arrested? that's crazy, wonder what he did.

There were many of great things that stood out in this DLC (perfect dance on boogie tonight & bagging a chick too) but the most ingenious part to me was, in the main game (can't recall it exactly) Niko had a mission where he had to break into a musuem & steal something or it turned out to be a trap & niko had to fight & shoot his way outta the museum. Now in the DLC, luiz has a similar mission where he too has to break into the same museum on that same night & he comes across niko bellic fighting & shooting his way out the museum but you witness it from luiz's perspective. & whilst everybody's gunning for niko luiz uses that to get to his goal. & i thought that was an amazing piece of storytelling with the way they incorporated that mission but from 2 very different perspectives & with different objectives. If you know what i'm talking about then you know.
Last thing, in GTAV there's a part where you can recruit packie mccreary to help with a heist. & on the way to the location there's this long conversation of him talking about his past, his crimes & what he did in liberty city with one certain eastern european. & for me i just love those little callbacks & nods to the previous game.
Johnny from the Lost and the Damned is also there at the museum. He and Niko meet up to do a deal with someone and Luis crashes the deal and all three of them shoot their way out in different directions

Another amazing detail was when niko had already gone through most of the goons at the museum and then johnny come down to the ground floor only to see the land filled with bodies laid down by Niko. Johnny also says something along the lines of “this guy is f***ing crazy” (while making his way out towards the exit from the ground floor) referring to the absolute manslaughter niko had just committed. The other boys were good but niko was on another level.
@bluupbrr286 exactly. Now, if only rockstar had made a DLC, Sadie Adler: Life as a bounty hunter. This would chronicle her rise from leaving Arthur & the gang to finally meeting up with John later in time to tracking down micah & Dutch to the mountain top for that final showdown.
Her DLC would include many new missions & bounties specifically for her, new random encounters specifically for her, plus maybe bumping into characters from the main game. New collectibles & trophies for her to collect. & think of all those unsolved things within that world e.g the missing Princess

All the random crime scenes & bodies to be investigated & maybe bring one or a group to justice (dead or alive)
All the unexplained events & spooky happenings, maybe she could bring closure to some of those.
& finally, at the end, she's sitting in a bar with a glass & a bottle of whisky & an English man walks into the bar & says "hi, my name is Gavin & I'm wondering if you can help me? I'm looking for a friend, he's another English man called Nigel, you might've seen him around"
Sadie looks up, gives a 4th wall-breaking wink to the camera & the game ends
Yeah, just some fantasy thoughts but rockstar really did miss the trick just focusing on online content rather than giving us some full on single player DLC.
This DLC is just legendary. So excited to watch this!

Grand Theft Auto IV is the best game in the series and the DLCs helped expand that world and made it even more immersive than the game already was. Great video man, keep up the great work!

12:01 I'm pretty sure this is an FPS issue since the game was designed with 30 fps in mind and there's no support for 60fps, it is available for Xbox users because of the enhancements that Xbox made, another example of that is GTA IV's final mission, in the helicopter part where you have to mash the button, you'd have to have an awesome fingering game to complete that without issues lol

I 100%ed the entire GTA IV trilogy at the beginning of this year and if anything, it reminded me of how much i used to love GTA. i am really looking forward to GTA6 now, but i also hope they give it a more grounded story, like GTA IV had.

GTA4 and it’s story DLC is amazing love how it’s all connected. Wish R* wasn’t so greedy and made a proper GTA5 story DLC like this. Guess GTA4 was an end of an era. Proper DLC
Considering TBOGT gave us a literal TANK, kinda, sorta, the GTA Online APC but better, plus all new cheat codes, a Golden Uzi, a Suppressed P90 and a frigging M249 SAW, TBOGT was a banger. TLAD was good too, just depends on what you’re into.
I still go back and play the LAD and the TBOGT from time to time. Still a classic 😂
I’m playing TBOGT right now on ps3 and it’s the only GTA story i’ve truly 110% enjoyed and laughed so much at. The more brighter and colorful map is a plus too

Just in case you play the whole story on your own the game is so much easier to play when you turn off auto aim being able to strafe a group of people instead of only being able to focus on one person is great but ofc play it how you want to man love the videos much love bro

I personally enjoy this game mostly because of the fact that it was the first Grand Theft Auto game with mission objectives. Gives you more to do and reason(s) to replay.

I hope they introduce a feature where if you crash into a police car they can flash you down, giving you the option to get out the car and take a fine with dialogue or drive away into a pursuit
@Speedyaybe make it so you can bribe the police in gta 😂 to me that seems a bit more interesting.
@LilRonPlayz I'm talking about a bribe before you get arrested in case you don't feel like getting Stars you can bribe instead. But yeah that kind of exists a little bit not really what I meant though I always thought of that as a bail payment not a bribe.

@LilRonPlayz Im talking in terms of GTA 6, with it being over 10 years since the last GTA title, we kind of expect things like this to be introduced.
the fact you can just tap a police car and get 1 star almost instantly with them shooting at you, is not realistic.
the option for the police to pull you over with the choice to comply opens up space for creative scenarios. e.g. you could get pulled over and it be a really friendly cop who lets you off. Or you could get out the car and multiple police officers get out the car aggressively and treat you differently.
Then there could also be where if you dress smart (in a suit etc) the police respect you, where if you dress like a 'typical criminal' they will treat you like a criminal
Fun fact: did you know that if you call the paramedics and your health is low they will come in an ambulance and heal you for a small fee

TBoGT is closest thing to Miami vibe that we got and TLaD is the closest thing to RDR story that we got in HD universe
I enjoyed The Lost and The damned quite a bit and The Ballad of Gay Tony was pretty damn good too🤟🏻

The Ballad of Gay Tony was incredible, I played through it last year & loved a lot about it. Yeah it was a little silly & a little unrealistic, but this is GTA, who cares. I won't spoil the end but I will say that's got to be one of the most unrealistic things in all of GTA aside from the entirety of GTA Online, however it was a super fun & entertaining ending & that matters more. This is the same game where by driving into a swing set you end up in space, so...
Just finished watching the lost and damned video and already onto this it's a good freaking day to say the least ❤

The DLC is the only one I owned on PS3. I think I liked this one more than lost and damned. They're both great though.
you were right about the filter thing they actually did put different filters on them like the lost and damned that has a darker grayist filter on it while the ballad of gay tony has a more bright and colorful filter
I remember Downloading the DLC Ballad of Gay Tony, just for the MD Small Attack Helicopter 🚁. Saw it on a Poster and thought that’d be so much fun to Fly around Liberty City 🗽
one thing i find funny is that sliding of the camera ive noticed is only on controller. mouse and keyboard doesnt have that problem funnily enough

You remember the Giant Slow Moving Tug Boat, it’s about the same size as that Intercontinental Yacht. You can steal it at anytime and Put Around

When i started playing TBoGT, I didn't find it much interesting or stale in comparison to the previous 2 titles, but man rockstar put so much in this particular dlc, i love it now, the weapons, the vehicles and the APC🔥

GTA 4 original, TLaD and TBoGT actually do have different "filters" over them, GTA 4 is mostly cloudy and gray-ish, TLaD is Orange, TBoGT is sunny.

Yes, the filters in TLAD and TBoGT are different, and the stupid grainy filter in TLAD on PS3 was so bad that I couldn't bare playing it.

Th big boat that’s in the water is the same boat niko gets off of at the beginning of the game I forget exactly who it was but someone had the boat blown up bc as you see in the beginning cutscene of gta4 where niko is getting off you also see the diamonds that plays significant part in all 3 storylines but especially Luis’s.

Handbrake cam is broken at 60fps. I just turn it off. Same with the end of the main story where you have to mash A to get on the helicopter. Also broken at 60fps.
