Yes you are right! These two guy are saying cantonese, they might from HongKong, and Stephen Chow's movie basically reflect HongKong people ordinaly life.
@@JoeChanCC Wahaha...Exactly what I'm thinking ..That guy's a legend...The mannerism and all especially reminds me of Hui in "Mr. Coconut" ...where he plays a FOB that goes from China to HK. But based on how he played this hand I don't think Lo is much of a poker player.
For people who don't speak cantonese, they were discussing how much to invest in an "insurance" pool, where the dude with the set of 10s was offering 3-1 odds to the guy with the straight to "insure" against a bad beat on the river. They eventually settled with Lo(guy with the straight)paying 200k to insure against a board pairing on the river(if that happens, he will get 600k back from the insurer, which is the guy with the set). That is why they opt to run it once again.
Well when every single person at the table is trying to play for a living .... yeah that's the result. They can't really afford to lose. Pro poker players are broke
not exactly what happened. Phua said "I'm buying 600k, you gotta buy 200k", then Lo said "no worries, we know each other for a while" they're discussing how much odds they're giving each other. They're not technically playing for the whole 1 million pot. If Lo wins the pot, Lo takes 800k net. if Phua wins the pot, Phua takes 200k net, just rounding here.
After the all-in and call they were discussing insurance in Cantonese. They agreed to insure Lo for $600K meaning that Lo will pay Phua $200K, and if he loses Phua will pay him $600K. So Lo won $991K minus $200K for the insurance. If Phua had sucked out on the river Lo would still receive $600K.

The average income in the middle east is not even half the what it is in the USA.
Your number is true but the arab billionaires are really trillionaires if you consider they own all their famil money in their account, for example take siekh mansur of the UAE his reserve bank account on behalf of his family is over $900 Billion dollars, 95% chinese billionaires have wealth of between $1 billion and $5 billion. the figure is slightly lower for american billionaires roughly 75%.
sirwallaby It is impossible to know his bank account. the second thing is HIS FAMILY DOES NOT OWN 900 BILLIONS. Maybe the Saudi royal family has near that which waaaaaaaaaay richer than the rest of the royal families combined. Fucking monarchies. They thieve countries.
It is an estimate from back in 2011 that al nahyan collective liquid wealth is $900 Billion dollars and mansur holds the bigger say on matters relating to the money due to the cultural nature of the arabs. The saudi royal family don't hold that much money under their own account although the saudi reserve is more than $1 trillion but you have to remember that you are comparing a country with population of 1.1 Million against 29 million or so. This is really hilarious. The way Lo simply reacted at 1:26 should be telling Phua to get tf out of the hand! But instead Lo just tells him, that he could have 678910 and then Phua just called! It all just seems ridiculous to me.
Yeah Phua isn't good at picking up the signs. Any pro seeing Los behaviour would know he has a very strong hand and very likely nuts. Phua just got married to top set and couldn't put it down he felt like he had to call.
To those who are saying how could Lo announce his hands and how could Phua called his all in need to see the whole episode, Lo was playing almost every hand and he was playing loose all session he was calling and raising with hands deemed very weak everyone thought he was a "fish" and throwing his money away. this is the only hand that LO completed a strong hand and got lucky that phua hit a top set, this is why Phua couldn't even imagine Lo having the straight even though Lo pronounce it he thought he was showing extra strength for his hand so Phua would fold. If you played on that table believe me you might even be tempted to call him with top pair his raises and calls were crazy, i can't be 100% sure but i remember Lo calling or raising someone with air and he showed his card to lose the pot . Also if i recall phua going all in on multiple occasions with his big stack into a small pot it's only this time someone called him because they hit a top set.
sirwallaby Lo made very strong(and lucky) hands against Haxton. He played them very similiar. Hit a set against overpair = all-in. Flopped a straight against overpair = all-in. I dont think he ever bluff overshoved. But it is very hard to fold the 2nd nuts on that board.
ThatGermanView I would have folded, just based on how he was acting. Like you said he never bluff overshoved and the 2 times he was all in, it was actually very strong hands. Lo played loose throughout and although you can see that his game is not technically correct in some spots, some of his plays and bluffs are in fact quite logical. Like the one against Newey when he checkedraised on flop the bet bet on turn and river. If Newey didn't had a fullhouse but something like just a pair or even overpair he might have folded.
ThatGermanView haha, even after he counted our his straight hand to you? Sometimes, base on mannerism you could find a fold because he doesn't hide his excitement...
2:32 the reaction you have when you cannot possibly believe that someone will call your absurd over shove with anything less than QdJd. You try and get a friend to fold lol and they pretty much put you on a pair gutter draw and call with top set 😂 😂😂
They were discussing in Cantonese buying insurance in case Phua hit a full house on the river. Lo ended up buying 60k worth from Phua so Phua got a 60k insurance premium to reduce his loss
That is not how insurance works. Percentage a worse hand sucks out times the pot/half pot + Insurance premium (bonus for taking insurance). If the 60k is the premium Phua got back $287,930 or half pot Phua got back $173,965. Full pot insurance makes no sense for Phua to be rooting for a 2. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to give insurance on your opponent if you enjoy poker, because you guarantee yourself that you will lose money if it is pot insurance or breakeven if half pot 60k (6%) is correct for an insurance premium for a full pot, but it makes no sense that Phua would want to make his full house then therefore owing Lo all the chips in the pot he should be rooting for the board not to pair. Full pot insurance he loses either way just with full pot insurance he gets back $287,930.
Lo bought a 600k Insurance.... not 60k.. please do not mislead. If Paul rivers the full house, Lo gets back 600k... When buying insurance.. no one discuss about the premium.. Only discuss on the Insured amount... Premium % is arranged internally in different house and individuals. I do not know where all your logic about Insurance comes from.
Shawn Chua really? you mean if phua hits the full house on the river, Lo will get paid 600K? but the pot size is 991,000. he's gonna get paid more than half the pot? that doesn't make sense buddy.
just for those interested: they were discussing insurance and 600K of the pot were insured against 200K... maybe gentlemen’s agreement beforehand as they didn’t bother figuring the actual equity %. Surely the money means little to these rich men, but maybe they didn’t have additional “spare change” at the table.
I wasn't a fan of all these stuff people post online saying I've fixed numbers that will help you becoming rich 💰💰💰till I came across a genius in the game , I was shock at first I thought it was a prank he played but it was actually real...his game is fixed and hasn't failed since I started playing it 💯💯💯 I recommend you all to him on insta Hacks_bill201💸💸

They're not technically playing for the whole 1 million pot. If Lo wins the pot, Lo takes 800k net. if Phua wins the pot, Phua takes 200k net, just rounding here. it's not a loan, it's similar to like playing multiple boards.

If the 60k is the premium Phua got back $287,930 or half pot Phua got back $173,965. Full pot insurance makes no sense for Phua to be rooting for a 2. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to give insurance on your opponent if you enjoy poker, because you guarantee yourself that you will lose money if it is pot insurance or breakeven if half pot
60k (6%) is correct for an insurance premium for a full pot, but it makes no sense that Phua would want to make his full house then therefore owing Lo all the chips in the pot he should be rooting for the board not to pair.
Yes.... thats why they were discussing about the half pot and bla bla...100% confirm about this.
I host game and i do insurance for others as well.
I love how he continues eating his noodles. You know win or lose that hand meant nothing to him.
Not true. That's why he's rich and you're not. The stuff that bothers him he doesn't let show.
this is awesome. it reminds me of gaming with friends relaxing on few beers. wish all poker game was this funny and friendly.
Not friendly but it intense; eat trying to hide his feeling!
@@sakariasheikh9739 bruh they rich asf 1 mil prob aint ntg for them
just for those interested: they were discussing insurance and 600K of the pot were insured against 200K... maybe gentlemen’s agreement beforehand as they didn’t bother figuring the actual equity %.
I told me brother the same thing, "I all in, you fold"! I got the nuts!!!
2:15 Phua said "seven head" means "dickhead" in cantonese foul language, just hilarious
2:19 Is so hilarious. You can tell a producer or someone was motioning about the food.
lol and then Lo just turns around and keeps eating
laughing while losing over 400 thousand chips, interesting..
Guy that lost is a high ranking triad member, that was a cheeseburger to him
Brian P Actually if he's triad, that was your cheeseburger, since he stole it and gambled it away, now he needs to take another one from your dad this time?
did someone seriously just publicly appraised a triad member. Calling the FBI.
i love you
@@theSpicyHam FBI, opens up, see?
My man was way more focused on that Kung Pao than winning that pot.
Most surreal 5 minutes of my life.
At that time I thought Phua was a fish, but he is now a good poker player.
No matter how many times I watch it. I will still laugh when Lo call it All In
Lo's body language was so nutted 🤣
Man tells his hand then goes all in, and proceeds to eat his noodles, like it's nobody's business.
Once you see those rectangle chips in the pot, you know shit just got real.
Based from my experience my opponent would have hit a full house on me 100% of the time.
Lol dude right.. That's how I ran most of the time.. Shoved on the turn and river sucked out..
I dont get it. The commentators said he's eating noodles. The people in the comments are saying he's eating noodles. But all I see is just meat.
that s probably rise, says from Chinese,we like eat rise with meat
i am East European and in my country people act almost the same when they play card games or chess. i laughed so much during the entire video 😁😁😁😁
Gives the chips straight back to him on loan to try take them again, these guys are awesome
not exactly what happened. Phua said "I'm buying 600k, you gotta buy 200k", then Lo said "no worries, we know each other for a while" they're discussing how much odds they're giving each other. They're not technically playing for the whole 1 million pot. If Lo wins the pot, Lo takes 800k net. if Phua wins the pot, Phua takes 200k net, just rounding here. it's not a loan, it's similar to like playing multiple boards.
Legend has it these two were actually playing together
haha i like to watch asians playing.. theyre so funny.. and look at that white man beside him... he had no idea what they were talking about 😂
Poker commentary is so peaceful. Love it
I lost it when he broke out the chopsticks! 😂
This was so funny by far, love them both.
This is baller game, one of my favourite
