My grandmother, may she rest in peace, often mentioned that the Yoruba people migrated from the east, led by a figure named Lamurudu. Intriguingly, I've discovered that the Nigerian flag, prior to independence, incorporated the Star of David. The Solomon knot is a recurring symbol across various Nigerian tribes, evident in carvings on calabash, leatherwork, and textiles. It's curious why traditional head coverings, like caps or headgear, were universally worn by these groups."...Thanks for great work

Brother I think this information is very helpful about the similarity in the tradition of the Yoruba Tribe, and the ancient Israelites in the Torah, thus, when a man dies, and the elders distribute his properties to his family, the first son, regardless of his birth position in the family, whether he is the 3rd, or, 6th, or 2nd, 8th, or 1st child doesn't matter; as long as he is the first son (he is called Arole). He will automatically be one to take over the father's businesses and he is entitled to half of the father's properties. This tradition is known as O j'ogun Baba e (he inherits his father's wealth). In the Torah, this tradition is called Rights of the First Son. This traditional practice is also the same in the Igbo Tribe.
It is also very important to note that The Yoruba Tribe circumcise their male children on the 8th day from birth; on the same day, naming ceremony is held and a big party is hosted for the child by his parents. If the child is sick or presumed to be sick the circumcision will be postponed, but the naming ceremony will commence, but the party may, or may not take place on that day; Immediately the child recovers, he will be circumcised, the party is up to the parent's discretion at this point.

I have never seen or heard of mandatory Daodu, first son inheriting half of father's estate. Yoruba inheritance practice is either ori o jo ori I.e equal shares or idi igi I.e portion according to branches when it's a polygyny family.

I am a Sierra Leonean, born in 1953,. We have strong historical links with the Yuroba tribe because after abolishing the trans-Atlantic slave trade, the British brought thousands of liberated Yurobas to settle in our capital city, Freetown
I grew up with the descendants of Yurobas, and went to school with them, yet I never met a single one who looked any different from any other West African, except for a few whose faces had large, symmetrical tribal scars. Until today, I never heard of ANY connection between Israelites and Yurobas, even though we had some Yuroba history and religious knowledge teachers in school. I can therefore confidently say that there is ZERO historical connection between Yurobas and ancient Israel, Syria.or anywhere else in the Middle East.

Ijebu are the ancient Jebusites who have merged with the Yorubas, but always maintained their identity in the Yoruba community. They generally lived on the outskirts of the Yoruba Land, even way before the migration to West Africa and continued the same pattern when they migrated to Africa. The Yorubas and the Ijebus merged into one tribe, way before the relocation to Africa. They were one people, one language and one culture. Great research on your part by the way, but there are a a lot of hidden truths that The Most High will unveil in these end times.
As documented in Psalm 83; their intention was to delete us completely. That the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. Yoruba is "Omo Alade". The prefix Ade, meaning crown is ubiquitous in Yoruba Land. There are a lot of mind blowing discoveries to be made about Yoruba People's history. It's amazing that the Yoruba language survived the Atlantic Slave Trade and it's still alive in Brazil and to some degree in Cuba today. Yorubas are the most scattered world wide today. Not just jargons that originated from synonymous use of words or jokes or play of words on the street. As far as naming Yoruba children are concerned, you are right Yoruba names have meanings that portray their religion, family social status, occupation etc, but the Jebusite theory you claim has no credible source in Yoruba history; if it does, provide the source. As I awoke to the truth of my identity in Yahuah I realized how important the information I had been handed down was. The more I learned the more convinced I am that we are indeed the people of the book. It was as I was being led to piece of the puzzle along the way.

We Yoruba are a great people and do not need to be linked to another race to validate our greatness. We are the people of Oduduwa, Orunmila, Obatala, Sango, Osun Oya and many others. We incorporated binary code into divinity readings before the rest of the world knew what binary code was. We are the great warriors of the Oyo empire, the skilled artists the created the fabled Ife heads. We had cities and a democratic govt while the rest of the world lived like savages. This was a very interesting video. I recall reading Dierk Lange's work a year ago or so, but I have been meaning to revisit, so this was refreshing. He has some interesting work connecting the Hausa migration with Assyrian elite narrative (Hausa). I wanted to also comment that the Berbers aren't Arabs, idk if you misspoke. Though modern *Berbers and *Arabized-Berbers may have Ishmaelites ancestry (E1b1b). The Berber language I believe is closer to Egyptian than to the Semitic branch of Afro-Asiatic.
I have a few questions also:
I'm curious, my Y haplogroup according to 23andme is E-P252, is that a specific subclade of E1b1a/E-V38, or it that just an alternative name? And if it is a subclade (specifically *E1b1a7a perhaps 🤔), is it associated with a particular tribe or people? I believe I read somewhere that it was present in both Igbo and Yoruba, and most of my African ancestry (inherited paternally) comes from Nigeria, though no tribe was identified. Also, coincidentally in my father's ancestry (being much mostly SSAfrican, around 50% Nigerian specifically) didn't have a specific Nigerian tribe, but had very likely connection to Malian Mandinka.
Also, what do you use to look into admixture? I use to show some "West Asian" ancestry (on 23&me) via my mother, though I'm pretty sure they joined it into the Italian category now (about half of my ancestry), but I been wanting to look deeper into admixture.

Yoruba can claim they come from Mecca because Ishmael and Isaac are brothers and shared the same tradition, culture, and customs as their father Abraham, we should also remember that in the bible though Haggai and Ishmael are sent away but Ismael still keep contact with his brother.
The Bible made us know that both Ishmael and Isaac bury Abraham their father together. And Abraham already has been told by God how to worship and serve him before God uses Moses. Therefore, we need to understand Ismael is Hebrew being the son of Abraham and when he went East to form his generation, known as the Arab, we should understand Ishmael and Isaac are brothers and their children were cousins, and the tradition, culture, and customs of their father is inbred in them.
There is no surprise if the Yoruba comes from Mecca and still possessed the customs, culture, and traditions of the Hebrews of their forefathers. Over the years the Yoruba trades around the world and they are more moved towards culture and customs that are similar to what they know, like the Egyptians, Hebrews, and Arabs. We should also know during these days many still worship idols, and the sacrifice offerings to the almighty God (Abraham teaches his sons to pay homage and worship God) can also be a sacrifice some Yorubas generation alternatively also thinks they can offer for the idols Gods, before the Christianity and Islamic religion show them otherwise.

No true Yoruba race of people would agree to the nonsense that we are from Oriental or Arabic tribes of peoples, since we consider ourselves the first of Eledumare's creation and as black peoples, we can never ever have come out of any pale tribes of people, since they are recessive and we are dominant by nature. Rather, i would agree that all other races came out of us...including your Hebrew-Israelite tribes. You need to dig deeper to know that We are direct from Eledumare or Yah if you prefer and Ile-Ife is our ancestral home...Please, stop this Arabization or oriental linkage nonsense, as they should trace their heritage from us and not the other way round.

Adam is not mentioned until Genesis 2. Some say that this was two separate mankind origin traditions being sewn together, or that the 2nd story is a more descriptive telling of the first. It may be that God created mankind first, then created Adam and Eve specifically.
The Bible also talks of people (Enoch, Elijah) being taken by God, as well as a seeing a New Jerusalem descending from the sky, with golden streets, walls etc... that sounds like what an alien spacecraft landing would be described as.

Africans, most especially the Yoruba's were not inclined to documenting things, events and history until the missionaries came and Britain later colonised Nigeria. Before then, stories were orally passed down from generations to generations and spiritual knowledge were only divulge to those in line of the inheritance ( Those who were chosen to carry the mantle). This is why it was easy to alter our history and write biblical events as though it didn't relate to us.
Even until few decade's back before the high volume and advancement of technology, our elders in the village would tell us oral stories by moonlight.
I don't have any written proof, but I can testify that most of the stories in the Bible are stories shared by my grandma who claimed that similar miracles had occurred during her youth and they were normal occurrences until the people turned to wickedness and deception and even the oracles of the Creator (Olodumare) had become corrupt.
