update: while without a doubt that ganyu and mona contributed a lot in the success of this. Both of those are C0 character using 4 star weapon, not something crazy like whale C6 / R5 5 star weapon destroying the floor and most importantly, as mentioned. At AR35, the player DOES NOT have artifact domain like we do, meaning he CANNOT farm 5 star artifact. And his character was running 4 star artifact, which not only is capped at +16, but also have worse scaling. Which is why i find the run impressive It is easy to forget about that as some of us have been playing genshin impact for a long time now. The purpose of this showcase was to show that knowledge and understanding can bring you very far. it is easy to see that Ladao830 played the FIRST HALF of the floor 12 VERY WELL, and was easily maintaining dps uptime

I agree with everything you said but I kinda wish you can add more context about how this account was built mainly for such challenges. This means Ladao can be very efficient on which character to pull, build, and set up to use in favor of beating abyss and to have the best synergy comp accessible for them. This is crucial when it comes to comparing this feat to most players who waste a lot of resources pulling/building characters they like and kinda get lock up to sub-par comp which requires time to recover if they want to start working on abyss. I'm not saying that this feat is not incredible and still requires precise skill in dodging and timing. It's just that as much as we see people downplaying Ladao effort by bringing up morgana comp, I also see a lot of people shitting on casual players who approach the game very differently and found the abyss hard as if they just suck at the game and are crybabies, etc. This video should encourage people to know that most likely if they have been playing this game for quite some time, they would have units and resourcse enough to beat Abyss12, just might need some grinding to make proper comp and more understanding in mechanics. It should not be used to overpraising only his gaming skill, shit on other players, and disregard the work and effort put into grinding 4* artifact and strategizing with low level character/weapons/talents. All in all, I appreciated you sharing this feat with us outside of CN community. It's just with the way Genshin community being so easy to go extreme on one spectrum, I wish we can do something to not let them take it that way too easily. Keep up the good work!

I dont know why ar35 matters if ar55 can stay at A4 lv70 and use 4* artifacts. I would say go by progress, not by AR. A real AR35 will not have the investment of that guy. Team 1 for 1 minute 10 seconds was played very well but after that, bennett cheese on lector can be done by anyone. Morgana team can be played by anyone, takes 0 skill. Sucrose group, ganyu ult, mona ult/E. Everything is frozen and you shoot at frozen targets....then repeat. So 70 seconds of great skill out of 297 seconds is not much overall. This is more a showcase of how op morgana team is even with A4 and 4* artifacts.

60 to 69 doesnt has huge difference. Except for character that use HP/DEFF for main or secondary dmg stat (zhong, hutao, albedo, noelle) but yeah Tuner is awesome

I think the main reason why this one is more impressive compared to all others who achieved same thing was the artifacts. Akron still used 5 star artifacts...albeit they were mostly "copium"
@@-Shibbi hey. It is not overload that pushes them back. It's Bennetts E that is being spammed that constantly pushes back. Beidou applies electro so that the 4 piece thundering fury effect activates on Bennett so he could spam more
Which is to say, after you first stagger the enemy (the first time the lector gets pushed back), every Bennett E WITHOUT any reaction occurring knocks them back. You could Google the stagger mechanic to see how it works
Elemental reactions, burst timing, shield timing , and dodge movement etc. literally all of them are impressive. Not to mention if you notice his burst are all ready when he arrive at this floor which means he pay attention to his burst on all chamber run. Dunno how many retries until he managed to do this but that's indeed amazing.
I dont think he needed that many retries. Sure he might do it over 10 times, but all he really needs is a good plan, test it, then adjust it and repeat. If you handicaped yourself since the beginning of the game, you must have learned the ennemy pattern while optimizing your dps, because the game is far less forgiving. Also, having played dark souls beforehand helps lol
@@neodymus After he played 1.5 abyss for a while maybe it only took 10 or less tries now, but having oceanids and lectors at Abyss is a new experience during 1.5. Probably the first couple of runs might have more tries than that since you need to experiment team comps and learn the new patterns.

But honestly, i think this player might have needed 2 tries to first clear the abyss 12th floor, and in that perspective, you don't need to be a tryharder nor a whale to clear abyss, just a bit of understanding of how the game works, how to deal with ennemies, and how to play your charachters. This just goes to show how flawless the combination of Ganyu and Mona is even with both at c0, with that resonance free crit rate and double taunt. The double taunt takes off a lot of pressure, difficulty and reduces the need to dodge from your characters while also damaging their foe in the process. Not to mention the permanent freezing which also contributes to even more damage and lowering the opportunities when you would take damage. But besides that another key aspect of this run is that he also has a great understanding of energy recharge values, he most likely tweeked his whole team to always get full energy recharge in time to burst right away with each of his party members from what I can see in the video.
he can also do many of those things, because 1 whaled the 5 stars. 2 very good computer 3 zero lag with very low ping. I think people often forget about how important those things are.

This game is too easy when you know how to play and some challenging content is always welcomed as it gives some motivation to improve the character builds and to also test our characters potential
this goes to show that abyss is no longer a dps check like last iteration. ppl were complaining that this abyss is harder but it really is not, and this video shows it. With good understanding of game mechanics and team building (and these concepts are still easy compared to other games, like let's be honest) you can easily go through it.
I am curious to see how the run would go without ganyu and mona but still despite you saying you can easily go through it. Data already shows majority of players aren't cause you're assuming they have the same skill set or knowledge to able to play at this level. If it was as easy as you said it was everyone would be fully clearing 36 spiral abyss.
don't forget that it takes a LOT of runs to get a near-perfect run like this, and he likely still has +16/20 artifacts on all his characters, which is extremely important, especially if they have good substat rolls. it may be easy to understand, but it's still a huge time investment

Can you explain to me how to dodge the Geovishap's attacks then? I have trouble dodging the one where it smashes the ground and sends these heatseeking shockwaves at you. Plus the one where it rolls toward you really fast and jumps into the air.
Man, that's pretty impressive. Using overload to stagger and clump the lectors together, that Bennett, Fischl, Beidou synergy is pretty clever. Not to mention the well-executed party rotations paired with good dodging to keep the damage uptime.
I'm AR52 and got around 26 stars. Last month I only got 3 because I hadn't leveled my Hu Tao yet and was struggling with Cryo enemies. Sadly, this month might have more Cryo... Haven't checked yet
Not entirely our fault esp if we aren't whales. We have no way of constantly grinding for artifacts and talents, plus raising characters that are optimal for abyss teams yet we don't really like feels very expensive.

Not exactly. RNG plays a big role. And abyss is mainly focused on making the correct team per every abyss monthly rotation. Even with 4 stars. If your lucky enough to get the correct stats and best possible rolls. It can rival that of most level 12 upgraded 5 star artifacts. (Big power spike difference. ) And also yes skill in gameplay as well.
As long as the artifact has a good stat, it's okay. I mean, my albedo with 3 stars weapon and 4 star artifact deals more damage than my noele with 5 star artifact and 4 star weapon

So many people trying to discredit this in the comments. His Beidou's stormbreaker is only critting for 3.3k per jump. An AR55 built Beidou would be critting for 5 digit numbers each jump unbuffed. Same for how low his Ganyu is hitting compared to your average Ganyu. This is impressive full stop.
Its both impressive and not. Its not because of the Morgana team (mona, ganyu, diona + sucrose/venti). The team is absolutely busted cuz of ganyus raw dmg, omen, perma freeze, vv shred. 3 small mobs that can grouped for multihit ganyu ult makes a lot of dps. 12-2 also is easily cleared by ganyu. On lectors, once it enters shield, the time it takes to clear is the same as everyone else, especially with bennett cheese strat. His skill on team 1 is for sure impressive but theres a reason why its only done now and not previous abyss.
@@trei49 In a word of fairness... avg 4k dmg? Come on, the charged shots were doing 20+k dmg per shot. That is not normal AR35 dmg and is only possible with Ganyu. That is with 5K icicles raining down from her ult. Not to take away any achievement from this because I still think it is impressive, but Morgana played a great part.

@@snehithkamepalli9293 But Ganyu team have to deal with those Cicin mages that teleport everywhere, try to kill those Cicin mages with Bennett team and it will be way harder than Ganyu team if you can test it for fun. Bennett did a good job because of course, those Abyss's Lector stay there without moving at all, you just have to spam attacks (Avoiding some attacks from them of course) trying to stay both lectors together while you try to kill them at the same time, but Ganyu team had to do a harder job to kill Cicin mages in time without letting her tp everywhere.
Their damage should be MASSIVELY nerfed bc of character lvl and 4* artifacts. Actually impressive understanding of the game's mechanics. Im pretty sure they're abusing of the shield abyss buffs which deal 20k dmg (I guess) when taking dmg while protected by a shield (per hit taken). Thats why beidou and Diona are there. And also bennett with 4 thundering fury set/ plus electro resonance allows him to break the electro shield very fast bc of ult generation and Elemental skill cooldown reset
Have you tried the Energy rotation on the KQM mastersheet? "E > Q > Press E > N4 > D > N2 > Hold E > N1" where you proc your 4pc pale flame earlier than other rotations or combos while keeping grimheart stacks until the end of Q. I believe the energy rotation does more damage bc it procs 4pc pale flame early and IF user uses skyward pride then I think energy rotation would be much better
The big secret to success is the type of reaction used. In case he focused on using transformative reactions, they ignore the level difference between player and enemy.
You don't even need good artifacts to hit the level of this guy's damage though, his dps is really low compared to a ar55 team with +20 5 star artifacts at shit stat.
Ok but what was that one screenshot I saw circulating a couple weeks ago that showed an AR 20ish player that cleared Abyss 12 with lvl 20 units i think. People said they actually looked up the uid and it wasn't fake but I cannot fathom how it's possible.
I wasn't sure this game had communities or individuals capable of producing those kinds of hacks, I only ever seen skin mods. But it's the only explanation I could think of, was just wondering if I was missing something because in the comments regarding those screenshots I barely saw anyone jump to the conclusion that it was the product of cheats.

This shows that no matter how much of a copium artifacts you are using on your characters, as long as you know how to build a teamcomp and how to play the game, 36 stars spiral abyss is definitely achievable as a f2p
He barely made it in time!! eeing from the damage output, there's little difference from the amount of damage per hit I'm capable of doing at AR56. Sure, every attack counts and probably makes a big number in the end when compared to what I can dish out. But it just goes to show that min-maxing only goes so far. The Morgana team, and proper use of rotations and Bennet made this possible. Wonder if the other floors are available to look at. Congrats still, on the accomplishment and being known for something now!
People saying this isn't comparable to them because he has a Ganyu, Mona, and 2 5★ weapons. Trying to make any excuse to blame gacha, as if F2P didn't get their chance to get a banner 5★ by now. We've already had Ganyu, Hu Tao, Zhongli(twice), Venti(twice), Xiao, Albedo... You've already had your chance to get a strong character, if you didn't, quit saying you can't do it because you're F2P, when it is because you can't save your primos for what you want.

The reason why Morgana is top team because ganyu can deal 35k damage per shot when Omen active. They're ganyu deal 7-10k damage pershot. That is really impresive
@@AzumaShinobiRyu it's a CC comp that use Ganyu and Mona as there core then a Anemo for grouping then a shield bot they mostly play Diona as you see in that comp basically it abuse the interaction with omen debuff with freeze because it prolongs the debuff when the enemy is frozen it allows Ganyu to do melt damage without actually doing any melt
He's team comp is great and also, kinda shows how important team comps and proper investment (as well as showing how good cryo,pyro and anemo on the current abyss) Idk, abyss hated electro a lot hahahaha
I am an AR35 player too and just went to floor 9. Though the mobs are much harder now, using Dendro really helps and if I have used the right team, I could have 9 stared 9th floor! (I accidentally used an underleveled Ayato freeze team for 2nd half without crowd control, which dragged a lot of time, first half with Yanfei went really well, managed to do the 1st chamber 2 stars, could have been three if I weren't an idiot on deciding the 2nd team, besides I have enough resources) Besides this, I don't grind much, so my damage is much lower than this… Though I have a good brain.
I just made a new account and it's currently at AR 30 and I'm trying my best to clear the abyss as soon as I can lol. 4 star artifacts can drop 50% chance at AR 30 and 100% at AR 35 except for Noblesse which only unlocks at AR 35. Hoping to 36 star by AR 45 without having to gimp world level lol.
Just to be clear, this guys has been playing and grinding a significant amount of time, enough that he should be with the rest of the people at high end game. For a new account you will not get anywhere near this level of performance. 36 star abyss is usually something people would safely consider at 45-50.

Yeah. Its all about your skill and what gimmicks you use. I have 5 stars and Im yet to 36 star the Abyss. This guy flawlessly completed it with a handicap.
If you watch carefully, his Bennett's elemental skill is getting off cooldown faster than it should be. That's because he's got the full Thundering Fury artifact set on his Bennett. Essentially, if he uses his burst beforehand, he can spam E off cooldown every second, whittling the Lector shields much faster than normal. What's cool is that he noticed that the Lector's shield would trigger the set's effect, and put a normally sub-optimal set on Bennett which was actually optimal because of the enemies on the floor. His team is also built to take advantage of this effect. I don't know if people already knew about that, but that's very clever.
I can't believe people skipped ganyu after her data was made public - except for mobile users which would have painful gameplay with her. At the time cryo characters were a complete rarity, Ganyu was super unique ranged artillery and with obscene multipliers, really the most "must get" character the game had. Zhongli would have been ranked higher, but he got buffed post launch so people skipped him because of that.
@@Galf506 People skipped Ganyu because Genshin Impact's camera controls are utter poop-ass dogshit and *_still_* is after more than half a year into its lifespan. There is absolutely no good reason for the vertical camera movement to be permanently locked at 50% with no option to change it while the horizontal camera moves at a completely different speed, it is objectively terrible game design that should have been fixed months ago and it's frankly embarrassing that it still exists.
...and 6ms network. i always have problem in abyss because switching between character lags a lot. Like sometime it take 1 second after pressing the button. Still this is amazing.
Forget to mention that beidou swinging around with a 5 star skywardpride claymore... man if ppl still dont know about 5 star weapons are one of the biggest powercreeps in the game... idk. If ppl doing smth "special" just use some common sense and ask urself how they can achieve it. 1. Yeah solid team composition 2. 5 star skywardpride on his main DPS beidou in the 1st team 3. 2nd team 2x 5 star units. 4. and i assume this chinese guy got some top notch 4 star artfiacts stats.
Also has skyward harp and a bunch of high constelation 4* characters, with ganyu and mona comp, c5 bennet, stacked 4* artifacts that probably compare to decent 5* ones and low ping to boot.

@Darkforce You don't do dailies and events that open up or make you revisit places? Or even daily artifact and material routes? BOTW and Skyrim literally expires when you explored everything, Genshin can go on forever and make you revisit everything.
Team building comparably to competitive Pokemon VGC on a FREE game anyone can play on multiple platforms. Not only that, but mechanics, design and movement of high quality.
cleared this with 3 chars each floor 2 of them are level 20 but the rest are 90 and 80 pure f2p hadn't top-up a single penny it was painful but once you figure out the strategy it's doable
As someone playing close to this chinese player (team lvl70, talent lvl 6, artifact lvl12-16 and F2P) - mad respect for him, getting 36 stars is definitly hard. You must at the same time have a good teamcomp, and think about which charachter must go on which floor and plan your strategy in each. I never felt it s impossible though, but still, it is a nice achievment
you are at least way better than many players out there who never bothered to do abyss at all. they would rather wait till ar45+, only then they would start doing it to secure runs. As for your case, you get to experience the difficulty of it while understanding most of the basic mechanics which will help you in the later floors. Forget about how high the enemies' hp is, it will still be the same once you are able to locate their weaknesses. Example, skirmishers' shields
I really appreciate that Ganyu freeze comp team. I'm going to definitely give that a try. On the nod to 4* artifacts, I'm AR 55 about 160k AR XP deep, and my Razor still rocks strong as hell 4* Berserkers 2 piece. The subs are so perfectly rolled that replacing them is extremely difficult, and the 12% crit from the set let's him hold Skyward Pride (R1) without feeling the lack of Serpent Spine's crit rate main stat. It's not ideal, but you can definitely make 4* sets work if you have the kind of mandatory def/def% RNG I have on 5* sets.
At the same level, 4 star artifact stats are almost the same as 5 star artifact. The scaling is not that much better. Sure, you have one more substat and some scaling, but having a good 4 star one is far better than a shitty 5 star. The main problem of 4 star is thatyou can throw them when you only have fully upgraded 5 stars - which take some time to get anyway

i cant even managed using morgana in 12-3-2 without dying tbh, and the frame perfect of every skills and every timing he did. I'm at AR55 with crowned ganyu and OP artifacts still having kinda hard time managing that stress level learning the enemy movements and comps.
he is a whale -.- first. §second sure, skills play a hand in this, but its not that much. what matters most is a good computer and a very good connection with very low ping. Many people think they don't know how to doge, while they just can't do it well because the ping suck. He sure know how to rotate characters and menage energy recharge. he IS a skilled player, but his skills are skill that many more people could have with the same tools.
Please also search how many tries did this run actually take? The number of retries could be massive and shows grit and perseverance. Also the current abyss is more of a Mechanic Knowledge Check, compare to the previous ones which is Damage Check
This doesn’t really prove anything, since this guy is very very skilled and knows a lot more about genshi than the average person. He also most likely did quite a lot of runs (not then that’s just crazy)
@@awe331 that's basically the point. the crux of gacha games is the relationship between skill, money and time. with money you can probably get by without much skill and a very valuable asset for players that value their time. with skill you can get away without spending money as long as you spend some time with the game and learn. and if all you have is time, then grinding and polishing skills should be your way of life. the constant here is time investment. more money, less time needed and vice versa. a LOT of gacha games operate this way. So yes, anyone CAN clear abyss. If not with money, then most definitely with time.
don't be fooled by his AR the guy have cumulated enough AR exp to be AR 55 at 80% so yeah it does takes skill to do all this but do not under estimate what god rolls on artefact can do to your damage.
@@overlordshiina I don't think so, his Ganyu with Mona's omen debuff deals 20% less dmg on crit than mine, and I'm using the Prototype bow and has 100/220 crit on Frozen enemies, without Mona. Unless, if your dmg using +16 4* artifacts are 20% less dmg than +20 5* artifacts then yeah, I guess they probably godrolled that.

He could only have level 20 with gladiator/Wanderer, which is very unlikely. 2: Both characters and weapons at level 70, and talents at level 6. i finally reached 12F when 2 geovishap came. at ar55 ofc. and finally 36 stars abyss in one run with my fierce team for both 1st half on 11F (before: anemo mc ganyu hutao noelle; after: noelle ganyu hutao childe) and 12F (before: noelle ganyu hutao xingqiu; after: xingqiu childe ganyu hutao) ps: childe didnt affect my team that much lmao
This achievement would be a lot more impressive if the guy didn't have enough AR exp to reach AR56... Probably spent on farming Artifact domain too since he already capped Talents, weapon level, character level long ago.
i think he had almost no 5 star artifact, in domains, they start droping at AR40 and are guaranteed at AR 45, so that is still very impressive, he only had 5 star artifacts from weekly bosses, if I remember the rewards well
@@La4geas the difference between 4stars and 5stars isn't as big as you think mostly because 5stats can roll with 3 subs stats too giving it only 1 extra roll at +20 and yeah they do have lower value but a god tier 4star artifact is better than a decent 5stars

Both of those are C0 character using 4 star weapon, not something crazy like whale C6 / R5 5 star weapon destroying the floor
and most importantly, as mentioned. At AR35, the player DOES NOT have artifact domain like we do, meaning he CANNOT farm 5 star artifact.
And his character was running 4 star artifact, which not only is capped at +16, but also have worse scaling. Which is why i find the run impressive

I agree with everything you said but I kinda wish you can add more context about how this account was built mainly for such challenges. This means Ladao can be very efficient on which character to pull, build, and set up to use in favor of beating abyss and to have the best synergy comp accessible for them. This is crucial when it comes to comparing this feat to most players who waste a lot of resources pulling/building characters they like and kinda get lock up to sub-par comp which requires time to recover if they want to start working on abyss.
I'm not saying that this feat is not incredible and still requires precise skill in dodging and timing. It's just that as much as we see people downplaying Ladao effort by bringing up morgana comp, I also see a lot of people shitting on casual players who approach the game very differently and found the abyss hard as if they just suck at the game and are crybabies, etc. This video should encourage people to know that most likely if they have been playing this game for quite some time, they would have units and resourcse enough to beat Abyss12, just might need some grinding to make proper comp and more understanding in mechanics. It should not be used to overpraising only his gaming skill, shit on other players, and disregard the work and effort put into grinding 4* artifact and strategizing with low level character/weapons/talents.
All in all, I appreciated you sharing this feat with us outside of CN community. It's just with the way Genshin community being so easy to go extreme on one spectrum, I wish we can do something to not let them take it that way too easily. Keep up the good work!

I dont know why ar35 matters if ar55 can stay at A4 lv70 and use 4* artifacts. I would say go by progress, not by AR. A real AR35 will not have the investment of that guy.
Team 1 for 1 minute 10 seconds was played very well but after that, bennett cheese on lector can be done by anyone. Morgana team can be played by anyone, takes 0 skill. Sucrose group, ganyu ult, mona ult/E. Everything is frozen and you shoot at frozen targets....then repeat.
So 70 seconds of great skill out of 297 seconds is not much overall. This is more a showcase of how op morgana team is even with A4 and 4* artifacts.

I think the main reason why this one is more impressive compared to all others who achieved same thing was the artifacts. Akron still used 5 star artifacts...albeit they were mostly "copium"

@@-Shibbi hey. It is not overload that pushes them back. It's Bennetts E that is being spammed that constantly pushes back. Beidou applies electro so that the 4 piece thundering fury effect activates on Bennett so he could spam more
Which is to say, after you first stagger the enemy (the first time the lector gets pushed back), every Bennett E WITHOUT any reaction occurring knocks them back. You could Google the stagger mechanic to see how it works

Elemental reactions, burst timing, shield timing , and dodge movement etc. literally all of them are impressive. Not to mention if you notice his burst are all ready when he arrive at this floor which means he pay attention to his burst on all chamber run. Dunno how many retries until he managed to do this but that's indeed amazing.
I dont think he needed that many retries. Sure he might do it over 10 times, but all he really needs is a good plan, test it, then adjust it and repeat.
If you handicaped yourself since the beginning of the game, you must have learned the ennemy pattern while optimizing your dps, because the game is far less forgiving.
Also, having played dark souls beforehand helps lol

@@neodymus After he played 1.5 abyss for a while maybe it only took 10 or less tries now, but having oceanids and lectors at Abyss is a new experience during 1.5. Probably the first couple of runs might have more tries than that since you need to experiment team comps and learn the new patterns.

But honestly, i think this player might have needed 2 tries to first clear the abyss 12th floor, and in that perspective, you don't need to be a tryharder nor a whale to clear abyss, just a bit of understanding of how the game works, how to deal with ennemies, and how to play your charachters. It's because they use their brain not because wanting everything to be one hit kill which is ruin the purpose of making team sysnergy.
This just goes to show how flawless the combination of Ganyu and Mona is even with both at c0, with that resonance free crit rate and double taunt.
The double taunt takes off a lot of pressure, difficulty and reduces the need to dodge from your characters while also damaging their foe in the process.
Not to mention the permanent freezing which also contributes to even more damage and lowering the opportunities when you would take damage.
But besides that another key aspect of this run is that he also has a great understanding of energy recharge values, he most likely tweeked his whole team to always get full energy recharge in time to burst right away with each of his party members from what I can see in the video.
I used to run Ganyu and Mona on the old 11-2 with the defence leyline, after that I really valued having multiple taunts for the reason you mention

this goes to show that abyss is no longer a dps check like last iteration. ppl were complaining that this abyss is harder but it really is not, and this video shows it. With good understanding of game mechanics and team building (and these concepts are still easy compared to other games, like let's be honest) you can easily go through it.
I am curious to see how the run would go without ganyu and mona but still despite you saying you can easily go through it. Data already shows majority of players aren't cause you're assuming they have the same skill set or knowledge to able to play at this level. If it was as easy as you said it was everyone would be fully clearing 36 spiral abyss.
don't forget that it takes a LOT of runs to get a near-perfect run like this, and he likely still has +16/20 artifacts on all his characters, which is extremely important, especially if they have good substat rolls. it may be easy to understand, but it's still a huge time investment

Can you explain to me how to dodge the Geovishap's attacks then? I have trouble dodging the one where it smashes the ground and sends these heatseeking shockwaves at you. Plus the one where it rolls toward you really fast and jumps into the air.

Man, that's pretty impressive. Using overload to stagger and clump the lectors together, that Bennett, Fischl, Beidou synergy is pretty clever. Not to mention the well-executed party rotations paired with good dodging to keep the damage uptime.

Not entirely our fault esp if we aren't whales. We have no way of constantly grinding for artifacts and talents, plus raising characters that are optimal for abyss teams yet we don't really like feels very expensive.

Not exactly. RNG plays a big role. And abyss is mainly focused on making the correct team per every abyss monthly rotation. Even with 4 stars. If your lucky enough to get the correct stats and best possible rolls. It can rival that of most level 12 upgraded 5 star artifacts. (Big power spike difference. ) And also yes skill in gameplay as well.

So many people trying to discredit this in the comments. His Beidou's stormbreaker is only critting for 3.3k per jump. An AR55 built Beidou would be critting for 5 digit numbers each jump unbuffed. Same for how low his Ganyu is hitting compared to your average Ganyu. This is impressive full stop.
Its both impressive and not. Its not because of the Morgana team (mona, ganyu, diona + sucrose/venti). The team is absolutely busted cuz of ganyus raw dmg, omen, perma freeze, vv shred. 3 small mobs that can grouped for multihit ganyu ult makes a lot of dps. 12-2 also is easily cleared by ganyu. On lectors, once it enters shield, the time it takes to clear is the same as everyone else, especially with bennett cheese strat.
His skill on team 1 is for sure impressive but theres a reason why its only done now and not previous abyss.

Bennett did a good job because of course, those Abyss's Lector stay there without moving at all, you just have to spam attacks (Avoiding some attacks from them of course) trying to stay both lectors together while you try to kill them at the same time, but Ganyu team had to do a harder job to kill Cicin mages in time without letting her tp everywhere.
Their damage should be MASSIVELY nerfed bc of character lvl and 4* artifacts. Actually impressive understanding of the game's mechanics. Im pretty sure they're abusing of the shield abyss buffs which deal 20k dmg (I guess) when taking dmg while protected by a shield (per hit taken). Thats why beidou and Diona are there. And also bennett with 4 thundering fury set/ plus electro resonance allows him to break the electro shield very fast bc of ult generation and Elemental skill cooldown reset

Have you tried the Energy rotation on the KQM mastersheet? "E > Q > Press E > N4 > D > N2 > Hold E > N1" where you proc your 4pc pale flame earlier than other rotations or combos while keeping grimheart stacks until the end of Q.
I believe the energy rotation does more damage bc it procs 4pc pale flame early and IF user uses skyward pride then I think energy rotation would be much better

The big secret to success is the type of reaction used. In case he focused on using transformative reactions, they ignore the level difference between player and enemy.

I wasn't sure this game had communities or individuals capable of producing those kinds of hacks, I only ever seen skin mods. eeing from the damage output, there's little difference from the amount of damage per hit I'm capable of doing at AR56. Sure, every attack counts and probably makes a big number in the end when compared to what I can dish out. But it just goes to show that min-maxing only goes so far. The Morgana team, and proper use of rotations and Bennet made this possible. Wonder if the other floors are available to look at.

You've already had your chance to get a strong character, if you didn't, quit saying you can't do it because you're F2P, when it is because you can't save your primos for what you want.

Can't agree more with what you said. I made a new f2p account around the end of Feb and I already have 3 5 star characters and a 5 star weapon because I hit soft pity multiple times.

Very impressive but once I saw that the 2nd team for abyss was a variation of the morgana comp it made a lot of sense how this guy managed to 36 star abyss at ar 35

The reason why Morgana is top team because ganyu can deal 35k damage per shot when Omen active. They're ganyu deal 7-10k damage pershot. That is really impresive
@@AzumaShinobiRyu it's a CC comp that use Ganyu and Mona as there core then a Anemo for grouping then a shield bot they mostly play Diona as you see in that comp basically it abuse the interaction with omen debuff with freeze because it prolongs the debuff when the enemy is frozen it allows Ganyu to do melt damage without actually doing any melt
when an ar35 does as much damage to a lvl 96 monster as you, a lvl55 struggling to even get to floor 12
im 20 ar above him and I can’t even defeat floor 11

He's team comp is great and also, kinda shows how important team comps and proper investment (as well as showing how good cryo,pyro and anemo on the current abyss)

I am an AR35 player too and just went to floor 9. Though the mobs are much harder now, using Dendro really helps and if I have used the right team, I could have 9 stared 9th floor! (I accidentally used an underleveled Ayato freeze team for 2nd half without crowd control, which dragged a lot of time, first half with Yanfei went really well, managed to do the 1st chamber 2 stars, could have been three if I weren't an idiot on deciding the 2nd team, besides I have enough resources)
Besides this, I don't grind much, so my damage is much lower than this… Though I have a good brain.

I just made a new account and it's currently at AR 30 and I'm trying my best to clear the abyss as soon as I can lol. 4 star artifacts can drop 50% chance at AR 30 and 100% at AR 35 except for Noblesse which only unlocks at AR 35. Hoping to 36 star by AR 45 without having to gimp world level lol.
Just to be clear, this guys has been playing and grinding a significant amount of time, enough that he should be with the rest of the people at high end game. For a new account you will not get anywhere near this level of performance. 36 star abyss is usually something people would safely consider at 45-50.
@@curiosityunbound5460 I've read a survey somewhere that only a small portion of people (10-15%) who are able to clear abyss pre-50 (getting the name card only). Based on that, I think to 36 star it before 50 could be counted as an achievement (not considering whales)

Yeah. Its all about your skill and what gimmicks you use. I have 5 stars and Im yet to 36 star the Abyss. This guy flawlessly completed it with a handicap.
If you watch carefully, his Bennett's elemental skill is getting off cooldown faster than it should be. That's because he's got the full Thundering Fury artifact set on his Bennett. Essentially, if he uses his burst beforehand, he can spam E off cooldown every second, whittling the Lector shields much faster than normal. What's cool is that he noticed that the Lector's shield would trigger the set's effect, and put a normally sub-optimal set on Bennett which was actually optimal because of the enemies on the floor. His team is also built to take advantage of this effect. I don't know if people already knew about that, but that's very clever.

I can't believe people skipped ganyu after her data was made public - except for mobile users which would have painful gameplay with her.
At the time cryo characters were a complete rarity, Ganyu was super unique ranged artillery and with obscene multipliers, really the most "must get" character the game had. Zhongli would have been ranked higher, but he got buffed post launch so people skipped him because of that.

There is absolutely no good reason for the vertical camera movement to be permanently locked at 50% with no option to change it while the horizontal camera moves at a completely different speed, it is objectively terrible game design that should have been fixed months ago and it's frankly embarrassing that it still exists.

If ppl doing smth "special" just use some common sense and ask urself how they can achieve it.
1. Yeah solid team composition
2. 5 star skywardpride on his main DPS beidou in the 1st team
3. 2nd team 2x 5 star units.

Also has skyward harp and a bunch of high constelation 4* characters, with ganyu and mona comp, c5 bennet, stacked 4* artifacts that probably compare to decent 5* ones and low ping to boot.

cleared this with 3 chars each floor 2 of them are level 20 but the rest are 90 and 80 pure f2p hadn't top-up a single penny it was painful but once you figure out the strategy it's doable

This is late but you can farm 5 star artifacts starting at AR 40 lvl 80 domains. They're just not guaranteed in lvl 80 domains but possible.
As someone playing close to this chinese player (team lvl70, talent lvl 6, artifact lvl12-16 and F2P) - mad respect for him, getting 36 stars is definitly hard. You must at the same time have a good teamcomp, and think about which charachter must go on which floor and plan your strategy in each.
I never felt it s impossible though, but still, it is a nice achievment

you are at least way better than many players out there who never bothered to do abyss at all. they would rather wait till ar45+, only then they would start doing it to secure runs. As for your case, you get to experience the difficulty of it while understanding most of the basic mechanics which will help you in the later floors. Forget about how high the enemies' hp is, it will still be the same once you are able to locate their weaknesses. Example, skirmishers' shields

I really appreciate that Ganyu freeze comp team. I'm going to definitely give that a try. On the nod to 4* artifacts, I'm AR 55 about 160k AR XP deep, and my Razor still rocks strong as hell 4* Berserkers 2 piece. The subs are so perfectly rolled that replacing them is extremely difficult, and the 12% crit from the set let's him hold Skyward Pride (R1) without feeling the lack of Serpent Spine's crit rate main stat. It's not ideal, but you can definitely make 4* sets work if you have the kind of mandatory def/def% RNG I have on 5* sets.
At the same level, 4 star artifact stats are almost the same as 5 star artifact. The scaling is not that much better. Sure, you have one more substat and some scaling, but having a good 4 star one is far better than a shitty 5 star.
The main problem of 4 star is thatyou can throw them when you only have fully upgraded 5 stars - which take some time to get anyway

i cant even managed using morgana in 12-3-2 without dying tbh, and the frame perfect of every skills and every timing he did. I'm at AR55 with crowned ganyu and OP artifacts still having kinda hard time managing that stress level learning the enemy movements and comps.

what matters most is a good computer and a very good connection with very low ping.
Many people think they don't know how to doge, while they just can't do it well because the ping suck.

Also the current abyss is more of a Mechanic Knowledge Check, compare to the previous ones which is Damage Check

This doesn’t really prove anything, since this guy is very very skilled and knows a lot more about genshi than the average person. He also most likely did quite a lot of runs (not then that’s just crazy)

with money you can probably get by without much skill and a very valuable asset for players that value their time. with skill you can get away without spending money as long as you spend some time with the game and learn. and if all you have is time, then grinding and polishing skills should be your way of life.
the constant here is time investment. more money, less time needed and vice versa. a LOT of gacha games operate this way.
So yes, anyone CAN clear abyss. If not with money, then most definitely with time.
don't be fooled by his AR the guy have cumulated enough AR exp to be AR 55 at 80% so yeah it does takes skill to do all this but do not under estimate what god rolls on artefact can do to your damage.
@@overlordshiina I don't think so, his Ganyu with Mona's omen debuff deals 20% less dmg on crit than mine, and I'm using the Prototype bow and has 100/220 crit on Frozen enemies, without Mona.
Unless, if your dmg using +16 4* artifacts are 20% less dmg than +20 5* artifacts then yeah, I guess they probably godrolled that.

2: Both characters and weapons at level 70, and talents at level 6.
Sure, he probably has played from either release or 1.1, but I doubt god rolls would compensate for having such low level everything.

@Maden Smith ngl the old 9F with vishap hatchling + geo aura ft. lawachurl were freakin difficult. i cleared 5F at ar40 and stuck at 7F because i didnt have 2 cryos (before zhongli banner came, yeah i only had kaeya). when i reached 10F, my weakness was i only had barbara wtf...
i finally reached 12F when 2 geovishap came. at ar55 ofc. and finally 36 stars abyss in one run with my fierce team for both 1st half on 11F (before: anemo mc ganyu hutao noelle; after: noelle ganyu hutao childe) and 12F (before: noelle ganyu hutao xingqiu; after: xingqiu childe ganyu hutao)

Probably spent on farming Artifact domain too since he already capped Talents, weapon level, character level long ago.
i think he had almost no 5 star artifact, in domains, they start droping at AR40 and are guaranteed at AR 45, so that is still very impressive, he only had 5 star artifacts from weekly bosses, if I remember the rewards well
His artifacts are probably still shit, compared to 5★ artifacts. Then again, choosing where to spend your resin is also part of the game.

@@La4geas the difference between 4stars and 5stars isn't as big as you think mostly because 5stats can roll with 3 subs stats too giving it only 1 extra roll at +20 and yeah they do have lower value but a god tier 4star artifact is better than a decent 5stars
