Yes. Pretty much all folklore has an equivalent. Maybe not SPECIFICALLY beach hut houses, but yes a lot of the time spirits will lure people in, do some supernatural shit, and then vanish taking the whole area with them.
BUT it is ESPECIALLY popular in pagan folklore, and Japan has REALLY taken to paganism. A lot of the mythos of paganism and japanese spirtualism overlap or mesh well together. I feel like japan would also like zulu folklore and ghanian folklore as well but that's not nearly as relevant as paganism. It's actually really fascinating a topic

The Devil is a Part Timer season 2 is hot garbage right now! But, I'll prefer watching the original The Devil is a Part Timer is one of my favorite isekai anime of 2013, such as Log Horizon.
