- Halo Reach assassinations definitely seem much better running at normal speeds in first person. I also included some victim perspectives and cut ones at the end.

If u go into wave settings and make the ai deaf blind and unlucky and have unlimited camo u can sneak past a brute easily and end their lives like my dad ended the relationship

@@xavierdaniel4608, you play lot's of split-screen? Cause in the original Halo Reach, they did not appear if you played split-screen for some reason. I did not realize till I played MCC where they fixed this.
Personally, the Halo Reach assassinations are better then the ones in Halo 4

In the next Halo game (if they make one) they should make an option that allows you to either have first person view during assassinations or third person view during assassinations.

+slvrcobra1337 Are you kidding? Every time you pick up a weapon in halo 5 every player around you "says" something about it, sometimes you don't realize it's the game talking. Halo 5 may even have to much voice acting.
TroublingMink59 I was talking about Assassinations though. There's no sounds of struggle from the Spartans during Assassinations in 5.
It looks a lot better than the Halo 4 assassinations. It looks a ton more violent in first person though.

Probably because you can't even tell what's going on most of the time. It's definitely a lot more clear on what's going on in 3rd person. But still 1st person assassinations would have been cool if they could do it

I never knew about that until you said something. I just checked it out in the beta and its crazy.
Gamecheat13 Yeah, I remember seeing it in the beta, and then half a year later, I realized that I hadn't seen it since. Personally, I don't really see how it was any worse than the current animations.

Being assassinated from first person looks better this way. Wish there were a way to make it so you could view it like this in the first place, but bungie and 343 had to drop the ball.

2. I mean, it's how they wanted the game. How did they drop the ball? I thought that would've been cool too, but I wouldn't say they dropped the ball by not having it.

Halominator T800 dudddeeeee if it was an official feature you wouldnt have that problem because they would design it for that purpose think about it these assassinations only look that way because they are designed for 3rd person
Seeing some of the more smooth cams (cue the victim cams particularly) and it reminds me alot of the 2010 Aliens versus Predator game.
That was a badass game. Predators were a little too versatile though.

Yeah, they added a bunch more, but they're locked behind RNG bullshit so it's kind of meaningless.
They could have just put the new animations in and gave them all to us day one and it would've made no difference.

Not like first person assassinations would be an advantage that’s probably why most developers don’t add these things in games. Have a custom game setting option where everyone joins is forced first or third person or both. Makes sense to me.

I'm stunned. I thought assassinations were reserved for enemies that match your skill. I suppose I never tried to assassinate grunts since one melee attack kills them anyway.
They're actually the ones I think Bungie designed to introduce Assassinations to players because they run away easily and move slowly when doing so.

slvrcobra1337 The hardest (and my favorite) assassination you can perform in Halo has got to be that Elite in one of the last missions of Halo Reach. You have to take a leap of faith from a high cliff and land directly on him, pressing the assassination button *with almost flawless timing and skill*. It gives you an achievement if I recall.
Famtomerc I spent two hours getting that achievement… If you came to hear me beg.
Famtomerc Used to do that assassination over and over again for fun once I mastered it. Love that one.

Man, when reach came out I was so afraid due to E3's introduction to back-stab animations, that a elite honor guard from halo 1 would back stab me with his hand implanted energy sword.

The victim assasinations would've been so cool. You could be sniping, minding your own business then all of a sudden, your scope goes down and you see an elite pick you up with his sword and drop you. :3

I'd love to see assassinations in first person in the next Halo even if I know it's impossibile since they would have to slow down the whole thing to make it understandable for both the victim and the killer
They don't have to be slower, just more simplistic. The Head Stab, Stomach Stab, stuff like that look very deliberate and straightforward so it's easy to process in First Person.

You could also make the whole game go slow motion campaign only so that there doesn't have to be a massive amount of detail on things like grunt assassinations

As you can see, all the assassinations in Halo: Reach are so awesome that you cannot pick which one is the best, unlike Halo 5 where you are forced to choose one out of a random, unreliable microtransaction system.
I hope assassinations in first-person view may be worked on by 343 at some point 👌
