- Great video from Chris Lozano with Rev Electric! Running some under ground with the new toy! GeoRipper®️ this thing is an absolute game changer for electricians. Operation is easy, maintenance is easy, transportation is easy, digging is easy, and back filling is easy!
Check out how GeoRipper can up your game at www.minitrencher.com

Whatever dug the first part of the trench, just keep using that.
It’s a chiropractor’s dream.
Only if you opted to use a shovel instead - you are taking what would take hours and doing it in maybe 15 minutes.
Do a 15 minute RUclips showing that hole trench dug using your machine then.
@@mikeraphone9960 Check out our channel and you will see tons of videos
Only need to see this one. Looks like the shovel is faster...
@@MidwestPauly GeoRipper digs in a fraction of the time as it would if you were to hand dig with a shovel
Might be an electricians dream, but it Looks like a lower backs nightmare.
Not at all, especially when you pop it on the EZ Kart.
Let the weight of the machine do the work. It's a bit slower, but your back will thank you
@@georipper803hoesntly for the price it probably cost you can get a actual trencher
@@str8upn0l1fe6 It is a real trencher and can be used in conjunction with a walk-behind.
Buy a mattock. Lasts a lifetime, requires no fuel, and is nearly maintenance free. Plus, it keeps you in shape.
Made it a whole half inch there bud
The video is only a few seconds long.
Something my wife usually says..😅
If only someone could invent a trencher that you could stand up with and not have to hold it up, maybe have it on wheels.. They could call it, Ditch Witch or someting like that.
GeoRipper compliments larger trenchers as well for those areas you would be forced to hand dig because you can't or want to use a larger trencher, i.e. hard-to-reach, enclosed, sloped, areas you have to weave around, next to foundations, etc.
😂😂😂 yup
That is my first year instructors nickname lmao they called her the Ditch witch because all she did was bury conduit

@@georipper803you're right! But nevertheless, that looks more like a torture device instead of a tool.
Hahaha straight from MATTEL
I don't know how much of a dream that is it doesn't look like it's doing much of anything but making a lot of racket?
Correction: Electricians Helpers Dream Trencher.
You ain't kidding😂
Rumor has it he’s still working a 20 foot long trench 😭
looks about perfect for those CATV and landscape light guys who only want to go down 4-6 inches. Here in New England you'd be zigging and zagging around rocks if you go much deeper.
I used to live in Rockachusetts..trenched telephone cables..
This would never happen in New England. Could you imagine hitting the type of rocks we have here with that?
@@GregDubela yes, rocks and roots! (roots the size of my leg)
@@rupe53 no joke? If so, I am buying one asap off this comment thread and giving you a shoutout on my company page for showing me this.
@@GregDubela I would also ask a few of your competitors what they use in your area, although you might have to do that on the sly. In my observation, nothing works 100% of the time in all locations. I just retired from doing generators and with conduit, we generally went down maybe 16" (required by NEC) and you never know what you find. We were in Ct.
Really shifts that sugar sand around and back into the hole with maximum effort.
Oh hell yeah....I would much rather bend over and break my back with a glorified chainsaw than walk behind a trencher......NOT!
Not a chainsaw and you don't have to bend over. There is an EZ Kart you can pop on. Great in conjunction with larger walk-behind trenchers for those areas where you are forced to use a shovel because it is enclosed, sloped, narrow, or hard to reach areas, areas you have to weave around, etc.
@@georipper803, You probably should take this down and put one up with the cart, the one you’re showing is a back breaker!
Or you could just rent a trencher and save your back. Wait until you hit the first rock or root! 😂
Or gas or some other utility since it looks like nothings marked.
As an electrician I can say no way
From the comments I’m seeing, I think your video should have included the EZ cart
That thing wouldn’t do sh17 in my neck of the woods…all rock and caliche.
It did nothing lol
😂
😂😂😂
The video is only a few seconds. He was cleaning out the trench he just finished digging.
Its taking forever, that might just be long enough to catch a dream or two
😂😂
I’ll be fair and say that this could be a very useful niche tool. That is, for certain limited circumstances. If you need a trench cut that’s fairly short and in soil that’s relatively clear of rocks and roots, this would be fine. Outside of that, though, it appears from this video that you’d be better off just renting a trencher.
It's designed for all soils including rocky, hard soils. It cuts through roots up to 3" thick. You can also rent a GeoRipper trencher as well 😉
That was the fastest inch trench I’ve ever seen! My spade would have gone at least 6” more🤣🤣
It digs in a fraction of the time as traditional hand-digging options.
Then that’s the video you should post
Ez cart included, right?
Too bad it wasn't what dug the trench first. Now it's just time to go buy another chain, but the tune on the saw. Is spot on!
The GeoRipper was used for the first part of the trench.
I really hope that he called 811 first 😂
Cool! Now do hard pack midwestern clay soil!
We have tons of contractors using it in the Midwest
I have this machine. The larger straight gas version. It is heavy. The cart is tremendously expensive too. I was quoted $800 for a new chain.
Whoever is quoting you $800 is a thief

$800 BUCKS!!?? Who did you get the quote for that chain from, *Mr. T ?!*

Great exercise for the back 😂
Looks like the chain is on backwards 😂😂😂
Van you imagine hitting some of that black poly pipe they run irrigation with? Or someone's landscaping lighting? Good Lord you'd have a ball of wire wound up in that thing like nobody can ever imagine.
Back breaker dream
Only if you opted to use a shovel instead
That thing wouldn’t make a dent in Texas panhandle soils.
Already being used in TX
@@georipper803 I'm exaggerating. I'm sure it would do okay up in Northern Texas, it would just give your arms a hell of a workout. The northern half of the state has very different soils from central, south, and west. We basically have very heavy calcium and silicon rich soil (heavy caliche) which basically when wet is like potters clay with lots of fine calcium carbide and silicon carbide (Heavy and dulls blades), and when dry it basically forms a natural concrete.
Ive qlways wanted one
You should get one!
Imagine hitting a power line that was located incorrectly.
Should always call in a locate when you are digging no matter what you are using.
Does it come with a new lower back
For longer runs, you can pop it on the EZ Kart
I have one of these. It gets the job done but damn it hurts afterward
Truthfully, all the jobs I’ve been on you’d have to have one of those that six electricians could hold on to. Lol
Oh my back lol
Were you shoveling?

@@georipper803 that thing is not worth the pain you'll be in after running it. you know they make small trenchers right. let a chainsaw be a chain saw lol. no need to reinvent the trencher especially with something so dangerous
@@Guerrero1187 You're only in pain if you spent hours shoveling instead of a fraction of the time with GeoRipper. Not to mention, a fraction of the cost of labor. There is an EZ Kart to put it on for longer runs. That is where GeoRipper shines. Remember, it isn't a chainsaw and doesn't use a chainsaw engine.
Wait till he snags a root and it jerks u face first into ur baby trench😂😂
It cuts through roots up to 3" thick below grade.
Looks dangerous! I stick to the guys hanging out at Home Depot!😊

Neat, but where I’m at the rocks would literally destroy that in a few minutes.
Where are you located?
@@georipper803 NM, if you were using that on a previously prepped site I think you’d be ok. Virgin earth may be an issue. This obviously is geographically dependent. Hope that makes sense. Depending on how far a tech would have to go that in a lot of cases may be quicker and less hastle then going and renting a trencher. I typically use an excavator for that stuff.
@@Charlie-go6eb GeoRipper works in all soils and isn't geographically dependent. The only exception is that it isn't going to dig through solid rock, like a boulder, but not much will. You can get a free demo done through a local dealer so you can see and try it firsthand in your soils.
It wouldn't work in my area either, way too many big rocks mixed in heavy clay.

GeoRipper has vibration isolation and shock absorption to mitigate kick back.
He better hook it up to a V-8 engine if he wants to get done by sundown.

It is a handheld trencher, designed to dig in the dirt
Seems like it's just dumping a bunch of the soil back into the trench.
Man couldn't even pull it through grass. Get up next to those trees and show us what it's got
Just use a stand up tiller
I think it needs to be attached to a cart
There is the EZ Kart you can attach it to
I looked at your channel, theres a few seconds of one of these bad boys running. That probably needs that cart thing you sell as well. Looks horrendous to run for more than a few seconds.
Not really. Starting weight is 30 lbs. If you are digging more than 25', we recommend the EZ Kart.
They have a walk behind trencher for that.
Walk-behinds are great. GeoRipper works great in conjunction with larger trenchers. It gets in areas you can't get a large trencher, i.e. enclosed, narrow, hard to reach, sloped, areas you have to weave around, etc.
