I love how various RUclipsrs get al excited about their new EV that can charge at really high rates. Then most of their next several videos are just about how disappointed they are when they can't get the fast charging they were all excited about because of charging station issues.
EVgo has a program called "EVgo Renew" where they are upgrading their older hardware. They put in over 250 in Q1 23 and a lot before then too. Those Renew stations are better then EA stations at this point. Maybe see if any of those are around you. Plus EVgo doesn't target interstate road trippers. They put there stations in communities so people in apartments, condos, and things can have a place to charge when they get groceries. I like that & am starting to become an EVgo fan boy. Thx for the vid. I enjoyed watching. Wicked car you got there. (looks like Oak Park Mall in KC is the closest EVgo Renew station)
Appreciate the charging update and that you are located in Lincoln, as opposed to a large coastal city with chargers on every block or two. Frustrating to see a wonderful and cool Hummer that has its usefulness compromised due to the charging “network.” When public charging starts to look remotely like filling up on gas or diesel, I will try again. Meanwhile my Wallbox remains idle next to my new Silverado gas truck.
We were there yesterday. Same problem. A line and slow free charging.😢
YEA.......THESE PEOPLE ARE VERY NICE PEOPLE... BUT THE REALITY OF IT ALL WITH EVS ARE:
1. THEY SHOULD BE PURCHASED AS THIRD CARS.....NOT EVEN SECOND CARS
2. THEY SHOULD HAVE A RANGE OF A THOUSAND MILES WITH MEGAWATT BATTERIES
3. THEY'RE MORE IDEAL FOR PEOPLE WITH MASSIVE SOLAR AND BATTERY BANKS........
4. EVENTUALLY WE'LL GET THERE..
5. IF IT WEREN'T FOR THE EARLY ADOPTERS, WE MIGHT NOT EVEN HAVE COMPUTERS OR CARS FOR THAT MATTER

You need to put your own chargers in so you can maintain them lol. I've only used two EA chargers and its been good so far thankfully.
First I have to say I’m not based in the USA but it seems that EA needs to be hauled to the consumer protection court for mis- advertising their 350kW chargers. I follow you, Out of Spec, Out of Spec Dave , Brandon Flasch , Ryan Shaw and TFL’s difficulty getting EA 350kW stations to deliver what is advertised - they appear to be mis-selling their delivery rates. If this were a gasoline supplier’s pumps trading standards would be monitoring the volume of gas output to your car but it seems nobody from trading standards checks up on EV charging stations to see if they are delivering what is claimed they can. It’s not just in the USA too, where I live chargers are regularly throttled in for no apparent reason.
Too bad we could not see the massive speeds that the truck is supposed to charge at. Even your level 2 at home would be slow. How many days to get it to 80 %? Great video see you next time.
I would call that a win, snob . that station will deliver but you need a station with no cars at it splits the power between all the cars
The station had a warning on the screen that power was reduced for maintenance. They were also complementary sessions because of the problems.
Staring at cell phones, apps and a giant cell phone on wheels? I don't think so. God help us, I think i will get a horse and buggy.
tesla still works
This is the only DC fast charger in Lincoln that will go, in theory over 60KW, ugh. We know two things, EA sucks and the Hummer is a specialized vehicle great at a few things but sacrificing a bunch of things in the process, most importantly efficiency and charge time. Rivian has a much better balance overall.
Totally stupid idea…. Car for a 100k$ and slow like a driving a horse…. Ha ha no way !!!!
