My dog is sleeping and is not pooping, he is vomiting and is just sitting or laying down. He does eat and drink water. I think he ait something like a piece of shirt or possibly a ball. Something rubbery
Our Cavalier King Charles just passed away man, 2 days leading to yesterday he was constipated and was barely pooping. He wasn’t eating and he was way quieter than usual😢we gave him some wet food to held before he went to bed and he did eat it but it didn’t help his constipation situation and unfortuantely last night, we went to check on him in his area and he had thrown up a large pool of blood and there was a pool of vomit merged in with his blood it was so painful to see man.
Sorry for your loss, im on the same path. Vet want $1,000 up front just to start, for emergency admission. Xrays, multiple enemas, etc will add up....im screwed.
I’ve taken on adoption of a dog - poor little thing I’ve had her checked out by vet - found out she’s either been ill treated by former owner in back legs .. she still yelps when pooing so I’ve added teaspoon of olive oil in her food .. I’ve spoken to vet they said keep it going .. no blood in her poo & we’ve clipped her butt .. wish she’d drink more water plenty of water bowls .. she seems to wait till I walk her to do her poo then yelps

My 10-year-old dog has recently every now and then but again that been straining to defecate she’s not showing signs of discomfort other than straining she doesn’t help when I push on her belly or have blood in her stool vomiting or Or loss of appetite other than her normal being a picky eater. When she poops it isn’t hard it sometimes looks watery or mucousy I don’t know what could be causing this should I be worried about tumors or obstructions or is it just constipation or blocked anal glands.
@@napa1m209 I just needed to let her gut rest for a while I feed her a gentle bland, diet of chicken and rice mixed with a little bit of wet, gastrointestinal food that seem to resolve the issue and then she went back to normal. But what the issue that was causing the first place that a mystery.
Hello. My dog hasn’t pooped since 3 days. He is eating food but lesser in quantity than his usual intake. I have given him suppositor twice for the past 2 days, after which he is trying to poop, but unable to excrete out anything. I am very worried. My dog didn’t 💩 in 5 days. He was not in pain, belly was looking okay, it he wouldn’t drink much water at all. Took him to the vet since he got bitten by spider on his testicles. They tested that are, took X-rays (normal), blood work (normal), gave him an enema, prescribed meds and probiotic. All of that took place on Saturday. Dog 💩 3 consecutive times as soon we walked out of the vet clinic. He 💩 3 more consecutive times,about 3 hours later. It’s been 60 hours since then and he hasn’t 💩 He is acting all normal, drinking more water than before but not normal amounts. Finished his meds, and only on probiotics for another 5 days. Dog is 18 months old male American bulldog.
I give my 60 pound dog more than 6 tablespoons of coconut oil twice a day in his food. It makes his poop perfect when it was hard to the touch and difficult for him to get out. I also add a few teaspoons of olive oil. Is it possible to give him too much coconut oil?
Hey Abhilipsha. It is fairly normal for young dogs to eat their own or other dog's faeces. It is highly unlikely that he will get Rabies, but he might get a bit of a stomach ache with possible symptoms of vomition or diarrhoea. But I wouldn't be too worried about it though. Just make sure his deworming is up to date and he should be fine. :)
I have a very furry ßhitsu dog who bites when trying to groom but she is constapated and furry back there what can i dothe groomer places just drug her so they can work on her but that makes her sick also we fostered a wild jack russel so there is stress what can i do ?

I couldn't get my dog to eat pumpkin or ground up flax seeds but she finds coconut oil yummy. It'll get her to slide those stools. I guess I'll have to pay more attention to her microbiome and get a bunch of probiotics and butyrate and digestive enzymes in her for preventative maintenance. I figure, if she's like me, she needed to digest protein better. This was a long time ago.
Why is it wolves,coyotes, and foxes have never died from being constipated, but if someone's house pet gets constipated owners need to rush to the local vet and empty out their bank accounts to treat it?

My dog just passed away today. She was constipated in the days leading to her death. I feel so terrible, we were going to take her to the vet tomorrow. I am heartbroken

Vet approved diet? Consider castration? Most vets recommend hills or something off the shelf at walmrt.
