Wtf is Vanessa talking about, you get to see people's rawness or whatever but you and Nick were killing the flow of the reunion trying to have "teachable moments" for Shake which was a waste of time like he cares what they think.
Exactly! The issue is that Vanessa and Nick just want to demonstrate that their “experiment” works! Anything contrary to that is glossed over by blaming the participants.

It's ridiculous to think that no one on the show was going to be shallow or superficial. The fact is everyone will not and does not think alike. Shake told them through his questions who he really was and what he cares about those red flags were ignored even after she called him on it in the pod! If it had been a success it would have validated the premise of the show even more it just didn't work! You don't always make the right choice in life people aren't perfect and sometimes you will be wrong! They need to put more superficial shallow people in that position on that show
They need Andy Cohen to host the reunion. Nick and Vanessa let a lot of things slide (not grilling Shaina and Shayne; not addressing Mal’s role more in that convo with Jarrett; talking over Kyle and not addressing why Shaina ended up in the pod when Shayne thought Natalie was in it).
Exactly! Andy would be a better host BUT I think that anyone would be better then these two. That's how bad they were at host. Sidenote: Nick just looks trapped in his whole reason. Vanessa doesn't allow him to have a voice and that's what odvious in this video smh.
Shaina ended up in the pod because producers set it up that way for drama. They probably set off traps like this all over the place all the time; introducing uneccesary special ‘meetups’ to perpetuate love triangles, asking Mal to speak to Jarrett at the party in Mexico and setting up a camera at the exact table they had been told to sit at. If everyone gets along, there’s no tv show.
Yes, they should have had fun questions and a non-name moderator instead of Nick and Vanessa. It's not like they were necessary for the reunion since they didn't know what was going on with the couples.
They didn't have enough time to get more in depth. Should have had two parts. Editing also has a lot to do with it. Vanessa said they taped for 3 hours.

Everyone is saying that they should've been neutral but I kinda loved it so much more that they didn't. I actually wished they grilled and called out some of them even more. Some of those guests needed to be put in their place (Shake). Honestly wish they called out Shaina and Shayne more as well. (Also loved how they tried to be respectful too)
Right! I agree, I was fine seeing their emotions a bit. They sympathized and empathized with them. Everyone feels they attacked Shake but their reactions were based on his behavior. Shake was obnoxious and then with Deepti sitting across from him while he was emphasizing on how he wasn't attracted to her or anyone else there. Yes, not in those words the whole time but he made that point all too clear. That girl is human, that'll hurt her feelings. Shaina should've definitely been confronted and called OUT. Shane seemed unstable, like he was going to either explode or faint. Sal wanted to be respectful of Mal so he didn't want to air much out. But he should've been asked about his ex. Overall, I think the hosts wanted to be respectful and sensitive to what they were feeling. This is their real life and emotions here.
They didn't create a safe space for the cast to fully express themselves and their experience. It was not a good look for them to attack the Indian guy and let Shayna off the hook.

Facts 💯. Plus they are not journalists by that standard. It’s a reality tv show. We want to see real people, real emotions and honest perspectives. Not flat and dead. I’m actually proud of both Nick and Vanessa and have more interest in them and take them more seriously by standing up for respect. It’s not 20/20 with Barbara Walters.

Lol people saying that Vanessa & Nick should’ve stayed neutral when Shake was making the most inappropriate comments, especially saying that he was the most attracted to Vanessa of the women on that stage, right in front of Nick as well. They were right to call that out. Shake’s behavior was abhorrent & disrespectful. He kept sounding like B-Rad from Malibu’s Most Wanted. He was easily the most unlikable cast member that season. Shayne didn’t handle things well with Natalie either though. He was always trying to flip blame to get the focus off himself. Didn’t care for Shaina either.
I like them together. I hope it stays blessed.
Maybe for the next reunion show try to stay objective and ask the hard questions that viewers really want to know. Like a good journalist, you can’t get good answers from people if you are too emotional about it. Howard Stern is probably one of the best in business to get people open up without being judging their answers.

Shayna and Shane did some pretty crappy things and they deserved to be criticized like Shake. Shayna was trying to manipulate Shane and did her fiance wrong. Other couples weren't attracted to their partner but Shake just was more open about it
Totally agree with you here, Shake was not the only one who acted poorly in the show...Shayna was another one who needed to get called out for everything she pulled. Not to mention, Shake was just being honest about how he felt...Shayna on the other hand didn't have a problem playing around with people, and starting up drama, where there was none, just to get what she wanted.

I enjoyed the season and I think the hosts did a great job. I don't understand why some people say they need to be "neutral". Its'a TV show, not a court case. It was super entertaining and that's what people look for in these type of shows.
Because it's double standards. People like Mallary, Shaina, Shayne can fake their relationship and hurt the other partner but that's okay? But when Shake spoke his truth and was honest (although his delivery was wrong) is crucified. I'm like Shake...if I was stuck with someone I was NOT attracted to...I would be honest and conflicted too! I'm not gonna fake it! The other contestants really played their partners and the viewers by portraying their inauthentic and toxic relationship only to dump them afterwards. The hosts didn't pick up on this and instead crucified Shake and forced him to say love is blind. But ofc love is not blind. That is BS...if the hosts really want to carry out this experiment and believe in it...then they should get a whole mix of people too, including unattractive people. The show is clearly BS AND THE CONCEPT IS STUPID.

As for your “double standards”, please, don’t forget it’s a TV show and clearly a successful one as they are wrapping season 3. The only standards they go by is to make a successful show so don’t take any of this seriously. Loved the hosts grilling the guy, that was so entertaining to watch.

They did a horrible job at the reunion… for example, they didn’t question Shaina at all about her disgusting behavior, but instead framed everything like, “Awe, you had to act like that because of how Natalie was acting, how was that for you?”

I don't think they framed it that way at all. But I do think they let her get off real easy. They should have definitely asked about how she left Kyle in the middle of the night.

IMO producers will have learned from the bullying and vilifation of Jessica and this will probably have been a factor in Shaina’s handling and kinder edit towards the end of the show. I also think Shaina is a more secure character and didn’t exactly take on that identity of victim. She seemed rather unmoved by everyone else’s emotion and IMO one of the most stable contestants

They didn’t handle the reunión neutrally. Shake driven them crazy and both of them loose their mind easily.
Heard couple times from them and the cast that there were a lot that we didn’t see because lots of editing and they were right!!! most of us out here were technically BLIND of what really happened in the whole show 😣
I agree Nick and Vanessa were very unprofessional in the reunion IMO. I like them both otherwise and as presenters but it’s almost like they forgot they were hosts and not cast members. They were too emotional, especially Vanessa. I get that Shake is annoying af but when you’re on a job you can’t allow yourself to get derailed like that.
i think it’s understandable though, shake kept cutting people off left right and center, and they couldn’t do their job properly because he was derailing the order of questions they had to ask other cast members and causing chaos, and also shake was getting personal with them first by saying he’s attracted to vanessa. they’re human beings, hosts can’t and shouldn’t be totally unbiased robots.
Some people are saying Nick & Vanessa should have remained neutral but in my opinion I’m neutral about that cause in the end of the day they are human to and will express their opinions especially to a person like shake. Also when it comes to people commenting about not seeing big people, I think those people by now should know that in western society being Big is not celebrated as attractive but taught as unhealthy. So for the majority of people watching they will not be interested in seeing big people falling in love. I’m not surprised about this, why people are shocked about this is what I’m surprised about. People are taking the “LOVE IS BLIND” title of the show to literal and not realizing that Love is blind only to an extent, and this show proves it.
I don’t get what you are trying to say. Love is blind, all sorts of people regardless of where they rank on a conventionally attractiveness scale find love. And to assume that people won’t be interested in watching this with bigger people is more of a bias certain people with narrow minds have. This bias is however unfounded. I am willing to bet that a well considered beautiful love story will be adored by audiences everywhere regardless of the size of the people involved because at the end of the day- what we respond to the most as humans are good stories.
But the problem with the show is also that it's literally love is blind (as long as you look good). There hasn't been a cast member that wouldn't be seen as attractive by most yet. And sure, I get what you're saying when pointing out that people want to watch attractive people, but then it's weird to call it love is blind, since it's just an experiment for good looking people 🤷♀️ but I get what you're saying.
They suck at hosting. Didn't bring up situations or ask questions that needed to be addressed.
And FWIW I love that Nick and Vaneesa unleashed on Shake. Shake needed to be put in his place.
I think the reunion is suppose to allow ALL aspects of emotions and conversations to surface without any judgement but unfortunately this seasons there was many moments of lack of accountability and disrespect….. this was a lesson for really many people of this world of viewers noticing things to change within themselves and teaching others the same thang. Respect ✊🏾 it sucks that this was filmed years ago and now we see this like it was filmed last year well hey reality tv 📺 kinda turned to a shitshow 😓

I agree, I was so disappointed with this reunion. I thought Nick and Vanessa criticizing and judgmental attitudes towards Shake were unnecessary when they didn't have the same energy during the actual show. Just stand there read your script and let the cast air out what they need. Let them be real and honest with each other without you guys now inserting opinions.

But they also heard the behind the scenes things Shake was saying so seeing the way he was acting was probably upsetting.

i actually admire Nick for controlling himself while the other moran was annoying his wife and in a way disrespecting him in front of everybody. Also Shaina's face while people were talking wanted me to go through the tv and punch her . I honestly believe that she was off the hook easily.
I agree, I think Shaina is completely full of shit. She never was into Kyle and used religion as the reason but was drooling over Shayne and we never saw him talking about the Lord. As a godly women, so she proclaims, you don't talk shit to engaged Shayne at the time while Natalie is 3 feet away. She's just fake 🤥.

The very best part of the reunion was Iyanna's narcissism-comment towards Shake. So eloquent, so insightful - I wanted to pause the episode and give a standing ovation!

I like that Vanessa went off on Shake, say what you want but he needed put in his place. He belittled many woman, he said Deepti was ugly on national tv many, many times. He interrupted the host, the other interviewees, he said he had the hots for Vanessa in front of her husband. God forbid someone finally have the balls to tel him like it is. Yes, she’s a host but they are all still humans.
He was the most entertaining part of the reunion. Without him, it would be boring af bc the hosts didn't ask the right questions.

I understand they were so frustrated with shake. My only criticism is getting on him about being on the show in the first place because I’m pretty sure the whole concept of the show is to find out IF love is blind, and clearly it was not for him, though if he wasn’t even open to it that’s another story I guess.
I agree! They are mad bc one of their main couples did end in a fairy tale ending. They need couples to get married in order for the show to be successful and to keep airing.
I’m also curious what Kyle was going to say when they cut him off. It was so awkward it seemed he was going to say something he shouldn’t.

I think that pod meeting between Shaina & Shayne after Kyles proposal was set up by producers, and I think Kyle started asking too many questions about why and how that meeting came about.

There were people in their 30s both seasons and I think they try to keep it within a 10 year gap for the majority because life experience is hard. If the range is from mid 20s to 50s that would be an even bigger gap. I also think they realize that people in their 50s probably won’t be as catty or dramatic like 20-30s and Netflix wants the views

That shake character was insufferable. I'm glad Vanessa, Nick, and rest of the cast called him out on his bs. Part of me wanted his mic to be muted because shake was being so rude interrupting and constantly drawing the attention back to him. He needed a time out and should have been seated in a corner just stare at a wall.

This reunion was AWFUL! The only authentic person was unfortunately Shake. The real issues were never addressed or glazed over. If the hosts didn’t want to pressure the cast for truthful answers then they should have hired a host who would have done the job correctly.
The issues were definitely glazed over like some people did horrible things like shayna and they just kept sliding that one off their shoulders. . The season 1 was more better Reunion
Shake was the only one with balls and honesty to say what he really thinks. But they all attacked him viciously. Meanwhile women like Mallory and Shaina were easily forgiven for lying and being fake as fuck. Not surprised at all. The show and reunion were all about blame it all on men, shame men, forgive women cause they are sugar & spice and everything nice, women deserve the right man, etc.
I agreed a little. As a woman Shake had every right and it sad that how society crucified him for it but you kind of sound like a woman hater too. Shaina was the true snake of them all.

I think what Mallory and Shaina did is way worst than what Shake did, for example. At least he tried to get over his shallowness and make it work with Deepti. He was very complimentary of her other qualities. But at the end the physical/sexual attraction is important.

Also Vanessa's should have controlled her emotions and disconnected from these contestants! She became too attached to them. She thinks this is MTV in the early 2000's still. Disconnected, be professional, and control the room! No host should allowed the mic (or in this case the control) to be taken away from them. Wendy Williams said that all the time! She NEVER allowed a guest or viewer to take her mic or even allowed people too out speak her on her show! Same thing that Andy Cohan's does on his shows! Nick on the other hand did disconnected which was great but he was POINTLESS AS HELL!

This is Hollywood coverage for you. No, they weren't good hosts. And it makes them look disingenuous by not owning that and having someone else do the reunions going forward. Most people who watched agree, they weren't objective, they didn't ask the right questions, they didn't dig deep. I hope they do not host season 3's reunion.

IMO Vanessa was so personally offended by Shake she fell out of her hosting character and turned into Vanessa the person. Nick, loving his wife, let her continue bc even though he probably knows it wasn’t the best job they could have done, people are only human and deepti at least got a fantastic edit and very careful handling at the reunion

I think Nick and Vanessa did a great job. To say that they got too emotional is ridiculous. All people involved were emotionally invested in this experiment. I like how they weren't passive aggressive and didn't pretend to be all bubblegum rainbows and unicorns. It was real!

Danielle needs therapy because she not emotionally stable but Shake get crucified for being honest and say hey even though I'm mentally attracted to Deepti. I'm not physically attracted to her.

The way the hots handled the matter was unprofessional and unethical. There was so much negativity everyone was attacking shake. That doesn’t make anyone from the show any better then him. The reunion was to talk about how they were feeling and everyone has their right to talk. However agreed or disagree that’s okay. Not even to mention the male host I don’t know his name, I’m so disappointed in him and his wife. I was so offended when he made the comment that he made only because he was mad and defending his wife. I’m a veterinary student and it takes a lot more for a veterinarian to learn, then a common regular human doctor. His comment was toward shake, however he didn’t even think the repercussions that he would make by that comment, he attacked everyone in that Field and that really hit me and it hurt me as that is the dream I’m pressuring. I DO NOT RESPECT THESE PEOPLE IN ANY LEVEL, they are just as bad as the cast members. And the fact that they are getting away with it is so not okay. If he was a man of color everyone would be on him about this! #RESPECTFORVETERINARIANS
To whoever said Nick and Vanessa are not great journalist, their not suppose to be. They’re hosting a show and i was extremely grateful they said something to Shake about his behaviour. As for everything else people wished they asked .. this seasons cast (with the exception of shake) seem very protective of each other and their journey. You could tell there was certain topics they didn’t want to talk about, and even tho it’s entertainment we have to respect them. Some of them we’ll see in media for a long time but some just want to go back and be normal and not air out their life on tv. We may love the drama as viewers (as did I) but they have to live that after. I’m not saying I didn’t want more from the reunion because I did but based off the way the cast was I could tell already its like they talked to each other about what they wanted the public to know and what they didn’t before they sat down and did the reunion.
I agree! Nick and Vanessa did ask the questions, but the cast were pretty tight lipped. At the end of the day they can't force people to spill the tea. I also don't think they need to be neutral. It's not an issue of law and due justice. It's ENTERTAINMENT!!
The way they advertised the next show that was coming out and the end of the reunion was incredibly cringe. The reaction of the different cast members was priceless.
Nick and Vanessa Lachey needed to remain neutral, attacking guests is not what the show is about, not to mention Shake was not acting poorly, but was being rather honest about what he was looking for in a partner...as opposed to Shayna who just wanted to get her way and damaged a lot of people because she is a complete hypocrite, like all other christians and catholics. 😁

The one thing that bothers me is during the experiment, Sal kept asking Mallory if she wan't fully into him and stuff after he saw her talking w/ Jarrete. Sal kept bringing it up and saying that's liek the one thign that made him uncomfortable and Mallory would just gaslight him and say no, everything's ok that's just in your head. But Sal felt soemthing was off and only after the show aired he saw that his suspicions were confirmed about Mallory. like c'mon - why wasn't this adressed? Shake actually kind of brought it up, but he was controversial so the point died off. Closure on that point was needed for him and the audience - idk who else felt bad for Sal?
I like Nick and Vanessa. I like how they come across as a normal married couple rather than typical TV host. Less commercial, more relatable.

Too much tension in the air with this reunion but shake needs to see a therapist, he really has problems with the way he says things. Also why are they casting only slim people or people that are fit or let me say has the media body type on the show?
There were bigger people there they didn't make a connection I guess. People are perfect, they are flawed. All the cast from both seasons have issues and faults and that's truly relatable. From what he said, he wanted to make it work but he couldn't get past not being attracted to Deeps and that's okay. He had a preference like he said in the pods. Not everyone will be able to say love is blind and it wasn't him and I'm sure a couple of others.

It’s so dumb. They just need a villain for publicity. Shake was the only real person on that show in my opinion. I value people who speak their mind and are honest over people who want to look “good” for the cameras. Love is not blind and that’s proven by this show. The only reason some couples work is because they get a bunch of semi attractive people together. It makes it easier to say love is blind if you do that. The couples that don’t work are the ones where you have one that’s way more physically attractive than the other . And how come we had two big women at the beginning of the season and then they didn’t follow their stories? Is it because people naturally are more interested in following thinner, more attractive looking people on TV?
We have GOT to stop being so fucking fake as a society and acting like we don’t ALL have certain preferences and judgments and prejudices. We’re going downhill fast if we’re all going to keep acting like that and condemning anyone who portrays the opposite and owns up to their shit.
Yup it is because people prefer to follow thinner more attractive people, this is not a surprise especially if the person is a woman. Love maybe blind to an extent but not that blind.

I did NOT enjoy that reunion as I did for Season 1; and I believe the producers or whoever worked up those people ON PURPOSE for ratings making it almost similar to a Jerry Springer Show. I will never watch another reunion show of LIB after that. It what a year ago -- but they cut open old wounds and emotions for sick ratings. After a year, we should have seen what we did on Season 1 -- people having MOVED ON and happier.

So sad that the second season turned into just another reality show filled with influencers and fame seeking wannabees. First episode thought I was watching The Bachelor. With the women warring evening gowns to sit in a box?. Oh not to mention the immediate talk about sex (on both sides) and the insistence of the men in describing who/what they were looking for and what they didn't want. Even though the first season was success, you still felt the need to make it look like every other reality show - drama, negativity, and messiness. No need to reflect. You got exactly what you wanted when you chose them and that's why you chose them.
I think that Nick and Vanessa are great hosts for this show. I disagree when people say that the hosts have to remain neutral. The hosts have opinions and I don't think that it's a bad thing for them to express it, especially towards a person who's been repeatedly disruptive to the reunion. We see MANY shows where hosts of a show express their opinions. I think that if they hadn't taken control of Shake in that situation, the only other option would have been to remove Shake altogether and while I think Shake is the worst, I do think that he needed to have the opportunity to express himself as well. It's not like they were name calling him, making up lies about him, etc. I think the things they said to him were incredibly true.
