There is a difference between cover and structure. Cover is grass, pads, trees, brush pile, docks, rocks, etc.. Structure is flats, drop offs, and points.
I would stay in the 10-20 foot depth zone because that kind of a sweet spot for fish. Also look for structure/shady spots where fish might be hanging out in. Good luck
