Being mysorean I can say that I have been eating hanumanthu palav since more than 2 decade but last 2 to 3 years they have reduced the quantity of mutton pieces and increases rice quantity but the price is more. Last few days I had eaten 3 times and I felt now they increase the spicy level like Andhra biriyanis. Lot of difference compared to old hanumanthu palav to new hanumanthu palav
As a Mysorean who has been consuming H’s palav since late 80s, I can pretty clearly say that H have lost their grip on their product. The quality is very poor and they will never correct it because people blindly give good remarks to them.
There are around 10 Hanumanthu Pulav restaurants in Mysore all owned by the children of Mr. Hanumanthu. Out of which atleast 4 restaurants are there since more than 35 years. All of them have lost original taste which was there 20 years back. Now the hype is just by the floating crowd who come to Mysore (Tourists) ..

I visited this hotel, the biryani rice is very rubbery and not properly cooked, hygiene needs to be maintained, and there is too much over hyped restaurant, I won't recommend this hotel, but rush to this hotel is too much.
My dad told it was very good in ಮೈಸೂರು when he tasted back then recently I tried in Bengaluru this is one of the worst pulav i have ever eaten even my dad was sad of the taste sorry there was no taste , there is no taste in mutton .
