I was planning on playing the DLC when it was released before being spoiled by the trailer and yet...here I am. Like you my brain said no but my heart said *YES*
While, admittedly, none of these additions will make the overall Kingdom Hearts lore any easier to understand to all but the most dedicated fans, Nomura definitely deserves credit for at least attempting to fill in the base game's biggest plot holes. What's really nice about this DLC is that unlike all the previous times extra story content was added to KH games to both fill in plot holes and tease future games (specifically referring to the "Final Mix" editions of KH1, KH2 and BBS), non-Japanese fans won't have to wait an entire decade for a next-gen remaster to play them!
Seems like they took it the other way around: fill the story with sequel bait first and then add satisfying content later. If this new content is only shown after the team enters Keyblade Graveyard it will still mean that the game will have no middle stage climax. That's, for me, one of the biggest letdowns in the game given that it made the endgame feel too cramped up and rushed
Even adding in Absent Silhouettes to mid-game areas wouldn't fix the lopsided story arc. There's gonna have to be more than just a couple fights to fix that mess. KH3 will always be scarred by that fact, there are worse problems for a game to suffer.
I say there will be no plotholes filled with this dlc. Its just battles we have missed in KH3 base game and some data battles... and of course MoM has to drop some more cryptic lines.. end of dlc...

The scene at the end with him having the chest and the four animal leaders and saying "it's a looooong story" one of them comments on how they know who he is, but how he looks different and had changed his body. He did say he was HALF Xehanort, but it seems that Luxo and Xigbar/Braig's body belong to each other. At least, there was never any hint that I got that he was possessing some random person. Seemed more like it was his body, he had just changed its form.

Look's like Aqua need to do a special team attack with Vergil Sparda such as jump into Vergil after he activate his Sin Devil Trigger and start shooting a burst of huge water,fire,ice,and lightning bullets while Vergil himself fly around using his Sin Devil Trigger while shooting his summoned swords.
It looks like it takes place after the Xehanort fight and Sora is trying to save Kairi. Then Sora fights Xigbar who reveals his true name as the final boss.

In case anyone was wondering who the figure in the black coat is. This voice right here is the voice of Sugita Tomokazu, who voices the Master of Masters in the Japanese version. Sort of confirmed that it may be the MoM after all. Also did he allude to the fact that the Kingdom Hearts is a false light? Iirc there was a mention that Kingdom Hearts is a tool that was made. That's huge.

It just screams "ah, you'll possibly be dealing with some weird cult of light or some dark beings that created Kingdom Hearts to free themselves from the insanity of darkness." That has to be it. Look at the health bar, and the attack used. At the start of the fight, VLS ALWAYS begins with encasing himself in darkness, and sending out the dark clones. And obviously, those are clearly Vanitas silhouettes there, l doubt someone else would be sending out clones of HIM, of all people.. In addition, he also sent out those keyblade waves like he does in his desperation attack in KH3 The only people who attack with the broken keys are Xehanort, and Vanitas. That's so cool they combined his BBS and KH3 attacks like that!...... Now, lets just hope they don't let this motherfucker heal whenever you cast cure.....

There are going to be two story scenarios for us to play through. They trailers have only scratched the surface of what the DLC offers, and I'm okay with that.
So basically this DLC will be redoing the Keyblade Graveyard but with more cool stuff so it doesn’t feel like an afterthought tacked on to a big budget Disney game.

Nope not really. I think the events of the Keyblade graveyard have been altered by Sora going to save Kairi. Also, there seems to be completely new fights altogether as well as new attacks. I would hardly call any of that what you described until we have confirmation when it’s released.

So I'm guessing Sora uses the power of awakening to go back in time, the keyblade graveyard plays out again but without Sora this time and you play as someone else in each fight and THEN solo fight them from the other side as Sora once the others defeat them. He does some mumbo jumbo to make sure Kairi doesn't get bopped but it costs him his "life." Then extended secret ending that still explains nothing and then we wait for the next spinoff.
If you look closely durring one of the fights before luxu fight, you can see those ink-like attacks are the lingering vanitas, meaning we gonna fight that same vanitas again that we fought in bbs

Yes nomura designed sora and the others but square only claims the characters from the final fantasy series. besides that article is kinda invalid now that banjo is in smash. Joker was unexpected, Terry Bogard was unexpected, so whats to believe that sora cant make it? sakurai has done the impossible with smash so far so this isnt out of the realm of impossibility. He’s the most requested character out of each region and its safe to say he has a solid chance to get in still with one last character being announced for season 1 dlc and more being in development for season 2 dlc.

Kairi is still my most wanted playable KH Character. I really hope it happens considering so many others are playable. I'd be so happy and so would all of my friends. Still super hype for everything else in ReMind, just hope that there are more cool surprises like that.
I read that they intended her to be briefly playable in KH1 when Sora went heartless, but scrapped the idea because it made things more expensive. I can't believe it's been this long and they've still never made her playable
@@angelbaby3342Kairi really deserves and needs it the most though. Roxas already had an entire game with 358/2 Days, and is going to be playable again in Re Mind. Kairi is one of the main trio and has never once been playable. Even after getting her Keyblade in KHII, and training in a different time-space for Nomura knows how long in KHIII, she's still the only character of the main cast of the whole series to remain unplayable. Honestly that's probably the biggest issue most fans have with KHIII because we all wanted her to be a strong character finally instead of just a plot device used to motivate Sora.
Coming back to this after the newest Re Mind Trailer, I can very happily say I got what I wanted most :) My most heartfelt of Thanks to Tetsuya Nomura, and the rest of the KH Team!
Plot twist theory: Masters of Masters is actually grown-up Sora in the distant future, who had grown tired of his role as guardian and began to play his schemes from the shadows. If that theory is actually proven in the future, I would not be surprised at all. In fact, it would be the typical cliche "You either die as a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain".
From what I understand it sounds like they're taking steps to adress the more confusing parts of the plot. Like the repeating time stuff that happens after you rescue everyone's heart. If so I hella appreciate it.
My main gripe with KH3 was that nothing really happened in the majority of the game until EVERYTHING happened at the end. The pacing was just all over the place. If we're actually going to be saving Kairi in the DLC (or at least try) after the base game ends, then it might help that a little. Effectively moving the end of the game to the middle, it will feel a lot less rushed. Looks like I'll be picking the game up again, after all. It's a shame it's DLC....but good work, Square. If this works out like I'm hoping. KH 3 COULD be fixed immensely and make it one of the best KH games yet personally.

I was planning on playing the DLC when it was released before being spoiled by the trailer and yet...here I am. Like you my brain said no but my heart said *YES*
While, admittedly, none of these additions will make the overall Kingdom Hearts lore any easier to understand to all but the most dedicated fans, Nomura definitely deserves credit for at least attempting to fill in the base game's biggest plot holes.
What's really nice about this DLC is that unlike all the previous times extra story content was added to KH games to both fill in plot holes and tease future games (specifically referring to the "Final Mix" editions of KH1, KH2 and BBS), non-Japanese fans won't have to wait an entire decade for a next-gen remaster to play them!

Seems like they took it the other way around: fill the story with sequel bait first and then add satisfying content later. If this new content is only shown after the team enters Keyblade Graveyard it will still mean that the game will have no middle stage climax. That's, for me, one of the biggest letdowns in the game given that it made the endgame feel too cramped up and rushed
Even adding in Absent Silhouettes to mid-game areas wouldn't fix the lopsided story arc. There's gonna have to be more than just a couple fights to fix that mess. KH3 will always be scarred by that fact, there are worse problems for a game to suffer.

I've noticed a lot of people talking about Oblivion but no one is talking about Dark Form. Sora's finally gonna use darkness without getting consumed by it!
Dark form is just a keyblade transformation for Oblivion tho

That has to be it. Look at the health bar, and the attack used. At the start of the fight, VLS ALWAYS begins with encasing himself in darkness, and sending out the dark clones. And obviously, those are clearly Vanitas silhouettes there, l doubt someone else would be sending out clones of HIM, of all people.. In addition, he also sent out those keyblade waves like he does in his desperation attack in KH3 The only people who attack with the broken keys are Xehanort, and Vanitas. That's so cool they combined his BBS and KH3 attacks like that!...... Now, lets just hope they don't let this motherfucker heal whenever you cast cure.....

As usual. The Kingdom Hearts trailers deliver. They are so good and know how to hype the fan base.
So I'm guessing Sora uses the power of awakening to go back in time, the keyblade graveyard plays out again but without Sora this time and you play as someone else in each fight and THEN solo fight them from the other side as Sora once the others defeat them. He does some mumbo jumbo to make sure Kairi doesn't get bopped but it costs him his "life." Then extended secret ending that still explains nothing and then we wait for the next spinoff.

If you look closely durring one of the fights before luxu fight, you can see those ink-like attacks are the lingering vanitas, meaning we gonna fight that same vanitas again that we fought in bbs

Yes nomura designed sora and the others but square only claims the characters from the final fantasy series. besides that article is kinda invalid now that banjo is in smash. Joker was unexpected, Terry Bogard was unexpected, so whats to believe that sora cant make it? sakurai has done the impossible with smash so far so this isnt out of the realm of impossibility. Kairi is one of the main trio and has never once been playable. Even after getting her Keyblade in KHII, and training in a different time-space for Nomura knows how long in KHIII, she's still the only character of the main cast of the whole series to remain unplayable. Honestly that's probably the biggest issue most fans have with KHIII because we all wanted her to be a strong character finally instead of just a plot device used to motivate Sora.
Coming back to this after the newest Re Mind Trailer, I can very happily say I got what I wanted most :) My most heartfelt of Thanks to Tetsuya Nomura, and the rest of the KH Team!
Plot twist theory: Masters of Masters is actually grown-up Sora in the distant future, who had grown tired of his role as guardian and began to play his schemes from the shadows. If that theory is actually proven in the future, I would not be surprised at all. In fact, it would be the typical cliche "You either die as a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain".
From what I understand it sounds like they're taking steps to adress the more confusing parts of the plot.
Like the repeating time stuff that happens after you rescue everyone's heart.
If so I hella appreciate it.
My main gripe with KH3 was that nothing really happened in the majority of the game until EVERYTHING happened at the end. The pacing was just all over the place.
If we're actually going to be saving Kairi in the DLC (or at least try) after the base game ends, then it might help that a little. Effectively moving the end of the game to the middle, it will feel a lot less rushed.
Looks like I'll be picking the game up again, after all. It's a shame it's DLC....but good work, Square. If this works out like I'm hoping. KH 3 COULD be fixed immensely and make it one of the best KH games yet personally.
More Namine! YES! She was shafted SO hard in the main game! Also it looks like Data Battles are returning! I can't wait for this DLC!

Plus people were begging for Oathkeeper, so papa Nomura said "Have it for free."
Shamar Porter where was that confirmed ? I saw nothing of that sort in the trailer just cutscenes

SekroGaming thank you it felt so badass wielding 2 Keyblades at the same time plus you’re fighting so fast and doing so much damage in such a short amount of time if felt so satisfying.

Soul6 the thing is Final Mix didn’t just add stuff to the ending it expanded the whole game. Same goes to FFXV Royal Edition.
