- ⭕️ I’ve recently installed the Car Launcher Pro app. Having tried all the car launchers available on the Google store this is by far my favourite. However, it seems to have some fundamental issues. At the time of making this video (January 2024) I’ve reached out to the developers and waiting for their response in getting these issues resolved.

You need to connect constant battery power to your unit, not just ignition power. That will solve the problem with the missing app icons and make it start up instantly.
Thanks, I appreciate your advice. I’ve tried three other launchers and they all work fine with the current setup. It’s just this launcher that has an issue.
@@Thereviewerman5 yeah android shouldn't be restarting each time you turn the car on, i have an android headunit and it never restarts unless i force reboot.
@@shaunmitchell21 supposed to set some settings in the android unit to sleep instead of powerdown everytime you switch off the ignition?
Why do you have 2 screens? Are both part of the legend unit?
The top screen and bottom screen are completely independent of each other.
The top screen is a 9” OLED Android 12 device (8 cores / 6GB RAM / 128GB ROM) inside a purpose made enclosure. This just runs navigation such as Waze and Google maps because in my opinion it’s much safer to have these in line of sight. However, front and reverse parking cameras, and everything else run off the lower 10” legend screen which is much better quality by comparison. The legend really is an incredible multimedia device and the upper 9” display just can’t match the Legend.

Could you link me to the upper unit please? I've just bought legend and plan to double up.
The one I went with was the 9” screen model with 8 cores / 6GB RAM / 128GB ROM at about £179. You’ll also need the dashboard surround which is another £35.

@@Thereviewerman5 Thanks! It was useful information for me. I have ordered a 9 inch android similar to the one you have on top. Totally agree that it is best to keep your eyes on the road when navigating. I have also ordered a 10 inch screen that I will have in the radio slot, but it is not Legend. Must also install a rear camera and a front camera. It will be fun.

Thank you. Just curious what was the reason for not using the Legend in the radio slot? The Legend is an incredible piece of kit and really does look OEM. Before the legend I had fitted a double din Pioneer DA120 but it failed after just 14 months.
@@Thereviewerman5 I don't have Legend, but have ordered a 10 inch android screen which should be the same as Legend uses according to some people from the USA. so I will try to customize it in the same way as the Legend screen. Have also ordered the cable package that Legend uses. If I get it to work I can let you know. If I'm going to buy Legend, the price will be around £700. but with my solution I get away with £250. My car is a 2006 model and I don't want to put too much money into it. I don't want to become unfriended with my wife either.

@@Wandalen2I understand. Mine is a 2007 xc90. I purchased the 2+U8 legend model including connections to the rear dvd headrest screen. The thing with the legend you won’t be able to buy elsewhere is the 10” custom bezel which is actually what makes it look OEM. The 10” legend screen is absolutely incredible. Far superior to my upper 9” QLED screen.
