Alterbridge is just as good... probably because tremonti the guitarist and the drummer re members... tremonti got some good solo work too....I do concur with your sentiment as well though.... good ol days...all genres suck today and have for a while

Just saw them this past Saturday night in Oklahoma City... Hands down the best concert I've ever been to, and I've been to dozens. Drove 13 1/2 hours from south Alabama to OKC to be there, and it was worth every minute. They are playing in Biloxi, MS this Saturday night, and I'm thinking about looking for tickets-that's only about 2 hours away.
Alot of people don't realize that, alot of my metal friends under valued creed as too soft, they never bothered to listen too the words or understand the story they represent. Needles to those friends went down a different road and some have passed.

When I was 14 years old, for the first time I heard creed and loved it. I like this band so much because of their lyrics and simplicity in the music. I never cried listening to other song but i always about to cry when i listen to creed . Their music have touched my soul.
Creed had a great, chunky and heavy sound compared to their peers of the same rock era. Put aside all the religious references of the lyrics, (if you aren't into that) of any song, you have to agree Creed had some great, catchy killer riffs!
It was their first album. They paid for the studio and production themselves. It was written by the band. It hit the top top of all the charts. The band was selling the CD's by hand for $5 a disk! It blew up and Record Companies started crawling everywhere. Creed signed, and it all went bad from there. They just couldn't take Scott anymore. So they locked him out and got Miles Davis. And went on to write powerful music. They even did a tour years after they booted Scott. That tour Scott apologized to every town they stopped at in the opening of every concert. I'm not sure if their even talking or in the studio now. But, it WAS a magnificent time in music history! And one of the best scenarios to drop one of the best CD's, ever!
When I was 14 (20 years ago) before Weathered came out, I had both Human Clay and My Own Prison and would play them back to back obsessively. Then I discovered this on a mp3 website and it took me four hours to download! I was so excited when I heard it because it was like finding the mysterious creed track. I must have played this on Winamp like a million times!
I used to listen to Creed quite a lot, about 20 to 25 years ago. And honestly, I listened to quite a lot of their music back then. I've listened to music dating from before their day and to music from after that, but I still feel Creed has made a distinct footprint on any music produced today. So, obviously, I wish to make a Stamp for them today. These guys marked a place between Rock & Roll Music of the past and Pop Music of the future. So, I'd like to thank them for their Contribution to Pop Music throughout history.
I've been fan since 2000, it's amazing watching the entire band mature as musicians. Mark has come full circle and then some as a guitarist. He had been the leader of this bands sound and evolution from the start. After his lessons with Troy Stetina in the Weathered days really took the band to the next level, we can all love the intro guitar of One Last Breath. It's the most iconic intro to any song millions recognize and love.
