I lived in England for 11 years and the best thing I brought back home to the states was a love of Robbie Williams! I think you need to see him in live videos to fully appreciate him though.
Robbie was huge in the UK and much of the rest of the world .... 13 number one albums in the UK charts, 75 million records worldwide, 375,000 tickets sold for 3 concerts at Knebworth ...... check out the live version of Angels from that concert !
I think Robbie is the greatest stage performer since Freddie Mercury in terms of engaging crowds and like others, I would love to see you react to Angels performed at Knebworth, and also definitely the full video of Robbie Williams - Feel (Live at Knebworth) that is a about a 6m12s video... There are so many great Robbie performances. I have some performers I recommend reacting to the live versions, like Elvis, Freddie/Queen and Robbie, and people good to react to their music videos, especially if it is their later work, like Meatloaf. I really hope you go on a bit of a Robbie rabbit hole of his live performances and some of his videos (Rock DJ, and Advertising Space (about Elvis Presley, who Robbie is a huge fan of) to name just two)
He wrote the song. He is not only known in UK but worldwide just not as known in the USA. He is such a great singer/songwriter/entertainer. You must react to this song live at knebworth! Also from the same concert - Feel and Come Undone! ❤ Thank you for reacting to Robbie!! He's a king. Can't wait for your next Robbie reaction ❤
Robbie wrote most of his songs, including this one. Massive, massive star in the UK and as we’ve watched him grow from 16 years old to a married man with kids in his 40s, he’s become a national treasure and we’re very protective of him. Watch his concert in Knebworth. Largest crowd ever recorded and a fantastic concert.
I had a head injury, was in a coma for months, my family put headphones on me, and played this song loads, it will forever remind me of that time, makes me cry, and will always be sung by all when played
He might objectively speaking not be the very best vocalist, but he is the consumate entertainer and you HAVE TO watch his live performances. He is spectacular live. I absolutely adore him.
This one is even better when you see him do it LIVE, more recently. The crowd sings along, and you can tell it was a moving experience for him. I LOVE this song.
Angles knebworth live is a must see it's awe inspiring. Robbie is one of those artists that's way better live than a studio version, up there with Freddie live in my option.
I saw him at Wembley some years ago. As is usual, he closed with angels. As over 100,000 left the stadium, there is a long walk to the train station, someone started singing Angels and the whole crowd burst into song. Something i will never forgot.
This is just simply one of the best songs EVER. The LIVE performance is also an absolute MUST watch. Rock DJ, Feel, and Let Me Entertain You are more of his fantastic songs. Cheers from a fellow Canadian.
He's a very big artist in most of Europe, actually, and not just in the UK.I saw him in Stockholm back in 2022 and he's amazibg live. A very good showman. Two very different styles, but his charisma and showmanship actually reminded me of Freddie Mercury. This song live is def an experience. It's a big singalong. Please react to Come Undone. It's my favorite from him.
Robbie writes most of his own stuff He was a member of the boy band Take That whom were mega in UK in the 90s.He is brilliant live check out his Knebworth gig he is a true showman😊
Live at Knebworth is a must! He did write this song and a number of others. He was part of a group called Take That, they split and he then went solo. He’s a remarkable entertainer and loved in the Uk and all European countries 👍🏻🤩🏴
One word: Knebworth!! You must watch his performance of Angels at this concert too. Whenever I am down I give it a watch and I feel fabulous again! You will see how incredibly popular he is. Need to watch it right through even after the song appears to have finished to see the finale. This version ruclips.net/video/baoQnUfOrgE/видео.htmlsi=Kgsd3-n6RKNxgn-v
...wasn't overall a fan of his, neither in the boys band 'Take That', nor in his solo career, but some of his songs are really good, and 'Angels' is to me truly outstanding: composition, lyrics, arrangement, voice performance, video - just great. Love it! 💖 ...and I do like your reflections in general - good job! 😎
Now you've seen the studio version you have to version at Knebworth, it will blow you away!!! He has many amazing songs, ironically he's not big in the US, but lives with his wife (I think an American soap actress) and kids in LA, which he loves because he can walk down the street without being recognised, something he just couldn't do anywhere in the UK. As far as football is concerned he is chairman of Port Vale FC, his boyhood club he supported growing up in Stoke-on-Trent, England. He has a lot of charisma and is one of the UK's biggest pop stars, well worth checking out some of his lives stuff, as well as the boy band he was in before going solo, Take That.
A pure entertainer. He just owns the stage. You MUST check out his Knebworth sets. The only solo artist to ever sell out three consecutive nights in a row at Knebworth with 125,000 each night.
Yes. His Knebworth performance is fantastic. Also, to see the other side of Robbie, please go see the black and white video of Robbie singing Let me Entertain You.
I'm always jealous of people hearing 'Angels' for the first time. It still moves me every time I hear it, make no mistake, but that first time....😲❤❤❤❤
Robbie is Iconic, a great songwriter and absolutely an amazing entertainer. To truly appreciate this man you have to see him perform his songs on stage. Like a lot of the comments say watch him perform at Knebworth
The first time I heard this song I was driving when this song came on the radio .. I pulled over and just sat there listening to it. I love Robbie and have seen him perform live so many times such a fantastic entertainer
Its really hard to fathom when someone saids they have never heard of Robbie Williams. In the UK he is certainly one of the most famous Artist especially as he was in one of the most famous uk boy bands, take that on the eSrly 90s.
How did America NOT embrace Robbie Williams, Showman and talent , he has it all, you need to watch him live at Knebworth if you need any evidence of how he can hold a crowd in his hand ....
Robbie Williams isn't popular only in Britain. He topped the charts and had sell-out tours across most of the world - except for the US. He has sold almost 80 million albums, among the top 10 in the world. His 2006 world tour sold 1.6 million tickets in just the first day, then a world record.
Thank you for your lovely reaction. This was co-written with Guy Chambers and at that time they were a formidable songwriting force. On a more personal note, I've heard Robbie say he devoted the song to his Grandmother who had his back during his parents' divorce. ❤A great song back then and still fresh even now. Love from London UK. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Can’t believe this song and video is almost 30 years old!! Makes me feel absolutely ancient as I remember very clearly when it came out, I was at University, St John’s in York. Unbelievably popular was always played at the end of the night in bars and clubs for a very long time after it was released. Even now if it comes on everyone just sings along, it’s the rules! 😊😂
Robbie did write this track and many others. Check out Let Me Entertain You, it's incredible. Angels is my favourite but he has tons of other great tracks. He was part of the wonderful Take That group in his youth, and also later on. Take that matured like good wine. Check out the 'Shine' video, Robbie's not on it, but it's still fabulous.

Hey guys, always love your reactions, always true and heartfelt. Robbie Williams , Angels, is a fantastic song, but to truly appreciate how great it is, and the impact it has on people, you need to react to his performance of angels live at Knebworth. I guarantee it's the best live performance you will ever see in your life
Jane H commenting … I lived in England for many years, & loved Robbie Williams. He also sang some nostalgic old songs that suited his voice beautifully. He’s a great guy with a wonderful sense of British humour. If you go to a live performance of Robbie’s you will certainly be entertained. He’s always lots of fun. Go Gentle is a lovely & very catchy song that he wrote for his little daughter, so that would be a lovely one to do a Reaction to ….. please choose the official music video, where he’s on a ship. It’s a great one. Thanks.
Hi Both, thanks for your great reaction to Robbie Williams, singing 'Angels' Checkout his live version of this song at(Live 8 2005).. really good.. Another track like this is his song 'Feel'.. Enjoy and thanks..
Can’t react to this song without also seeing him perform it live at Knebworth… it’s the rules & most iconic performances around.
Glad to see someone's letting them know the rules! I'm here for the Robbie journey, and I wish even more American reactors would watch him.
CORRECT, ITS NOT THE SAME AS THE LIVE VERSION
Can confirm, it's illegal not to react to Knebworth videos
Get it done!
Yes or the brits will unsubscribe😂
Live at Knebworth is a must!!!! "Let me entertain you", "Me and my monkey", "Feel" and, of course, "Angels"
Best concert ever!
Me and my monkey is a must
His Swing concert at the Royal Albert Hall is on the same level
You missed Come undone
You ain't seen or heard this yet till you seen Robbie perform this at knebworth. It's a must see.

Big head
You have to do knebworth live, so much more passion and emotion with that live concert
You’ve got to watch the live at Knebworth version to see how popular it is in the UK. Oh, and he most definitely DID write it himself.
He was a member of Take That, a massive band worldwide

Tell that to Ray Heffernan
I am 65 and cannot listen to this song without tears, for all those eloquent reasons you mentioned.
Robbie a great songwriter and wrote this and many amazing songs.
A great singer. I think you're over egging the pudding to call him a songwriter.
@JustMeHere359 No you are absolutely wrong!!! Robbie wrote all melodies and lyrics and Guy did music behind that - even Guy Chambers confirmed that...
Guy Chambers never got the credit he deserves with this song , due to Williams ego
@@andyhodge9703 The other way around
@JustMeHere359Robbie wrote the lyrics 100%
I had a head injury, was in a coma for months, my family put headphones on me, and played this song loads, it will forever remind me of that time, makes me cry, and will always be sung by all when played

He turned 50 in February and is still a legend ❤,seen him when he was part of ‘take that’ and solo live ,love you rob xxx
He’s so good isn’t he, definitely one of the best performers I’ve seen live
Robbie Williams live at the Royal Albert Hall in 2001 is completely different
I prefer him as a swing singer than pop singer. His personality comes alive
Robbie wrote this song which is about his Mother's love & support & how she stood by his side through everything good & bad in his life!
robbie is well loved in the uk he started out as one of the members of take that
This song kind of fit his vibe at the time, his life was not plain sailing and that's where the performances sincerity comes from.
Live at Knebworth in front of 175k crowd a classic live performance
You have to check out his live concert at the Royal Albert Hall......Beyond perfection!
👍💯
You both should listen to him live at the Albert Hall, which is a different side to him but well worth watching 👍🏻🤩🏴
Robbie is a global superstar.

As a slightly different aside, this is a very popular request on hospital radio in the UK. Many patients see their nurses as angels...
