In this edition of Tarikh, Astha talks about how Param Chakra Veer awardee Company Quartermaster Havildar Abdul Hamid destroyed Pakistani tanks during the battle of Asal Uttar. Failure of Operation Gibraltar led to Pakistan launching Operation Grand Slam in Punjab during 1965 India Pakistan war. Here on 8 September the Battle of Asal Uttar commenced where the Indian Army destroyed several Pakistani Patton tanks.
