I'm from Nepal. My grandfather (17 years when he enlisted) and father served in the Indian Army. My grandfather fought in the Second World War, and he told me many war stories with various levels of energy and enthusiasm. He recalls those sleepless nights filled with hunger, fear, and zeal for victory. Although he has mixed feelings about the war because many of his close friends died just before him; some were so young and had just joined the army, and some came after a vacation or marriage. He sometimes laments, saying I should have died there. Those moments hunt him in his dream. Other than that, he had a great time cracking jokes with his colleagues, doing physical training exercises, and playing games. My father has also fought multiple wars against Pakistan. Both of them were from Gorkha rifles. Despite wanting to follow their footsteps, they wouldn't let me join the army because they knew what a soldier's life was like. Having fought so many wars, both of them agree on the fact that war should never be the solution.

@kazirumanaahmad2959 Mam, how many Bangladeshis have such feeling? I mean does people there realize that you people got independence become of India ? Does school kids are taught this way, unlike Pakistanis??
Indians had no interest or sympathy with you bengalis ..they fought this war to just weak pakistan..even after this 1971 breakup Pakistani people show more sympathy or love to bengalis on the other hand indians always troll bengaldesh
@@ankoffi4834 , Yes school kids know this fact that India helped Bangladesh in 1971 to achieve Independence. Here people don't hate India or don't have any bad feelings . The fact that Bangladeshi people hate is watching Indian Muslims getting killed by the BJP government . Trolling goes on when Bangladesh vs India plays a cricket match but we never hate Indian people .
Capt Choudhary was 21 when he was launched into war. To lay down his life for India where as Aryan was 21 when he went on a cruise ship. Some one said he's a child. What a stark difference between the soldier & ultra-uber-rich.
You moron typing comment here... Why dont you join army... Aryan is son of SRK ... why will he join army when he is a billionaire son...Dimag ki batti jalao....
Just in the podcast Captain said don't bad mouth anyone and learn from captain after so much hardship he speaks no I'll of anyone but what you got out of this what is SRK's so doing. Two different eras, two different backgrounds... ARU IN ARMY, WHAT HAVE YOU ARCHIVED. Learning from this podcast is ZERO for you.
Big respect to you Sir... The way you said" my havaldar was more injured than me so I gave him my bandages"... Brought tears to my eyes. You were thinking of your fellow soldiers even when you were bullet struck at 2 places... Jai Hind Sahib...
My Grandfather was a WW2 Veteran...He joined the Indian Army in 1944 and retired as Subedar Major in 1969.... After independence he saw action during 1962 and 1965....He took his last breathe on 14 June, 2021...Upto his last breathe he always regretted that why our country was divided into 2 parts...He served in Bengal Sappers, Corps of Engineers....

Thank you Ranveer great podcast, I am a Muslim from Pakistan and I often listen to your broadcast. I frequently talk about having a great culture and being able to understand Urdu and most of the Hindi, it enables us to see the facts and history from both sides. We all have our biases but being educated and having an open mind is a quality of human beings.
He doesn't even utter the word 'rape' while talking. That shows what high moral standards our men in uniform follow. Hats off !! Salute to these heroes. Jai Hind.
In today’s world, its called weakness. Times have changed . Its high time we call spade a spade which this elderly gentleman has not. He is too emotional to be in armed forces. Telling truth is a great thing but broadcasting ones opinion based on decades old experiences is also not very feasible.
s making most noise is a gentleman, a word which people like u and ur likes of this generation will not understand . It requires a very high moral standard to be like him. People like u are just like today's generation : superficial and noisy ; empty vesse lsmaking most noise . vessels

While listening to this podcast, I'm remembering my grandfather who fought 65 and 71 war for us
I have already watched this once and here I am again. I literally feel like crying hearing our legendary Soldiers’ story. He is our hero. He’s looking like my grandfather and seeing him crying, my heart cries. How tormenting it was for the man who fought for our nation and suffered so much, had to become prisoner of war and went through so much. Here he is today, spreading pure Love. My salute to you sir and to all our soldiers, who fought for us, who are still fighting for their country and whosoever will be joining army in future. You are our heroes. Jai Hind. Salute to our warriors. Not just the Indian Army, Salute to and proud of our Airforce and Navy too. 🇮🇳 Without you, we are nothing!
Feel absolutely proud to have such soldiers in Indian Army
Thank you sir. To you we owe our life and freedom. Because of soldiers like you we exist in peace. My country owes so much to you. Thank you for everything. Love from Bangladesh.
Thank you for acknowledging the fact!
Thank you very much 👍
@kazirumanaahmad2959 Mam, how many Bangladeshis have such feeling?

Aryan is son of SRK ... why will he join army when he is a billionaire son...Dimag ki batti jalao....
Society wants men to be weak 🙂 . In old times no matter what your status was , everyone dreamt of going to war but nowadays 😂

After independence he saw action during 1962 and 1965....He took his last breathe on 14 June, 2021...Upto his last breathe he always regretted that why our country was divided into 2 parts...He served in Bengal Sappers, Corps of Engineers....

This is by far the best video of the army podcast. Veterans are so humble and emotional , yet so authoritative. Reminded me of my grandpa . He was in the airforce . And he speaks exactly like this . I’m in Canada and he is back in India .As old as him . Thank you Ranveer ❤️
What a man even he is crying and his emotions takeover him but in a blink of second he has back to its consciousness salute to this man he is the man of honour

@tinutandon5348 Shut up. Don't teach a veteran if he's fit to be an army or not. Try experiencing 1% of his sufferings and say who's soft.
s making most noise is a gentleman, a word which people like u and ur likes of this generation will not understand . It requires a very high moral standard to be like him. People like u are just like today's generation : superficial and noisy ; empty vesse lsmaking most noise . vessels
Being POW changes people
He was just 21, everyone is hero till shit hits the fan , go play somewhere else.
