I discovered her right after she passed and I still miss her. This posthumous album is heaven sent. I hope she gets some more recognition out of it. She truly was a trailblazer and a pioneer.

I don't think I've ever cared so much about an artist passing away. I feel like I lost a friend. What's weird is that this isn't like the normal parasocial relationship. I never really "followed" Sophie on any socials or watched interviews of her. The only thing I really know about Sophie is her music and somehow I felt like I actually knew her. Now that she's gone, I have that same empty feeling you get after losing a friend. I'm really going to miss her.
I also feel like this. I knew her in 2015, when an old friend recommended Beep for me to listen. And I still can remember the feeling I had when SOPHIE did the "reveal" by showing herself in her own work, on the "It's Okay to Cry" video. I connect to her music in a way I can't really explain, it's just so good. From her imagery, with the Lyno font, to the sound of every beat... I mean, SOPHIE's true genius.

It felt like she passed away right in her momentum. When people started to realize that she was an important artist. It's not just sad but also, highly frustrating. I can think of Zaha Hadid (architect) whom I felt also died in her momentum. She was somewhat established with smaller projects and furniture but many important projects were being build while she passed away, In both cases we could have had much more.

i love the neverending buildup. it sounds like it is trying to convey a feeling of infinity that transcends the minutes and seconds of the simple song. it looks like the music is trying to tell us, that even if the song is over, the feeling it leaves is unending. even if sadly your time on earth is up, your impact on music won't ever be forgotten, the messages you entangled in the notes is still being passed, your influence is still clear in the world of music. you're always on my mind. thank u sophie

I've discovered their music when she passed away, too. i just listened one time one of their songs in 2021 but never listened again to one of their songs . Now, i have listened to almost all of their albums. I'm thinking about how she was an icon for music n how she reinvented the music n renewed to a new era of music, she was such a thing, i miss her so much :"(
