  • Jerez De Garcia Salinas, State Of Zacatecas, Mexico 🇲🇽
We visited small town Jerez in the warzone state of Zacatecas for a few days and we have to say its the most beautiful pueblo mágico in all of Mexico.
The town is stunning and there is tamborazo music everywhere plus the people were amazing. We ate at burritos la palma which was on the netflix taco chronicles aswell as tasty street side chicharrón.
Zacatecas is beautiful despite the ongoing problems and the violence we loved the land, the food and the people.

I'm from Jerez, I didn't know you were around here is a pleasure that you have come to our village. You haven't seen anything just part of the center, We don't get many tourists, it's not common to see people recording themselves

That is some cool town. Love the architecture & you’re right about the painting on the walls rather than plastic signs

@@EllisWR Yes, well done with the español! I am impressed - and jealous! I have a bad habit of dropping french words into my spanish in Mexico and spanish words into my french when I am in Quebec (leading to laughing locals in both locations). So I am basically illiterate in three languages! Anyway, I really appreciate that you are putting english translations on the screen - it is helping us with our spanish.

Such a beautiful town. I think tourism in Zacatecas has gone down overall since the cartel violence has increased. This particular town looks like a place for local tourism. And I know people here in LA who have family and property in Zacatecas. They have not visited in a while due to the uptick in violence and crime. And it’s such a shame because they miss their families. And their properties are nice too. It’s funny how some people have this idea that all Mexican towns must look like they do in the cartel movies like Sicario. But there are towns like these that are completely ignored by the media.
Edit: Those burritos look authentic. You were spot on about how burritos come with just the meat. That’s how they were made originally in the North. It was only when Mexican immigrants started making burritos in the US that they were filled with rice and beans and a mountain of other stuff lol. Oaxacan burritos (which Oaxacans simply call “tacos”) are bigger than Northern burritos but they are made similarly by adding one item to a very large wheat tortilla. And they just roll the tortilla, as opposed to wrapping it. Burritos have been around a long time in Mexico. But they’re regional. Most states don’t eat them.

Honestly Christian it's so beautiful and yes lots of local tourism but no international, the whole states beautiful let's hope the violence issue dies down over time, yeah the media paints a horrid picture of Mexico I don't get why people believe that rubbish everything we experienced is the opposite.
Thankyou for the burrito information I appreciate it! We really enjoyed eating them while we were here they are actually super tasty all of them. Thanks for watching my friend have a great day 🇲🇽

Did I miss this ... how much did you pay for the earrings? Jerez seems like an absolutely beautiful town. It is such a shame that violence in Zacatecas is causing events to be cancelled and keeping visitors away. On another note - you both must have tummies of steel - or else we are paranoid - we wash most of our fruit and veg in Mexico with microdyne. But I will bet that fruit was amazing!

Hey dan we paid like £15 ish i believe they are beautiful honestly, it is a shame for the people who live in the rural parts of the state being displaced :( there such good people. Believe it or not we never ever have a bad belly and we eat all kinds of stuff haha the fruit was so juicy! Thanks for watching

I believe Zacatecas doesn’t receive any international tourism because it does not have beaches near by 😅 I am glad you guys were able to enjoy its scenery.
