Those rattan plates that you found are actually paper plate holders. I used to have a bunch of them. They help keep the plates sturdy. Now, I wish I had kept a few! Your decor is so fresh and pretty!! I love the sculptural book ends on either side of the mirror. I will be copying that idea if you don’t mind! I always get ideas from you!

I was going to tell Rebekah about the rattan plates. We used them for picnics, as you said they hold the paper plates sturdy. Although, I can still spill everything!

Rebekah is too young to remember those rattan paper plate holders. I think we had them in the mid 80’s?
Yes to the plate holders, I believe now you can buy them at the dollar store in plastic colored ones. This way you can put them in the dishwater to wash them in case you get food on the edge.

And wood items, candle sticks , wicker items and trays. Sometimes I find little wood rockers or vintage side tables. Little lamps!! You never know what bargain you will find!! Loved this video!! The wicker is a paper plate holder, can be used for plates too. I like the couches separated too👍🏻does look larger. Very cute decor🪻☀️

My home, is 2550 ft.² and it doesn’t look cluttered but I do put out much much more than you. I just can’t help myself.😃😃 I love your fur baby Holstein, who is so adorable. I have Three for babies two German shepherds, one long hair and a little Shih Tzu Maltese and she is a little stinker, so spoiled and she knows it. ❤️😊. The wicker plates are meant to hold paper plates to make them more sturdy to hold. Typically they are used for a cookout or picnic. I love the way you used them in your decor for your book shelves.

I especially love those bells and the basket (wow what a great price) I love to decorate with baskets but lately I just find they’re so pricey that was a great deal! I left to thrift and I can totally relate to the thrill of the hunt and not knowing what you’re going to find either, it’s been forever since I did garage sales, but you definitely inspired me to want to start up again. The flat rattan is a paper plate holder, I think. This summer I'm moving to a new apartment and am looking forward to redecorating and I'm so inspired with this video.. I' going to store the items on a book case and use it for styling....too.

Just love the charming decor and that you change it up every season...very fun. I Like the lavender pillows very much with ribbon embroidery. Holstein must be a joy to have helping with time management reminding you to take breaks for the really important things like belly rubs and snuggles. So sweet.

I’m Grandma Glam all the way! I thrift doilies and lace everything! It’s so romantic and softens a space!! You have a beautiful eye when it comes to decorating and everything is so cohesive!!! I’ve seen a video where they classed up the book cases with doors on the bottom, moulding at the top and patched all those holes to adjust the shelves. Ikea has the lower doors and also full size glass ones. The fireplace is pretty fancy, the book cases look too utility/ child room.

Yay!! Another video from Rebekah!! Like you, l love birds and my decor for summer revolves around birds and bird houses. I went thrifting just this morning (GW is the only place around here) and found a Bath & Body Works candle. I love when l find them like new (unlit) and even if they aren't the current season, l still buy them. Also found two iron candle holders for the patio table. Love the minimalistic look for summer and the feeling of calm that your color scheme portrays. Thank you for sharing.
That rattan "plate" is used under a disposable plate, such as a paper plate, to give support. I really like how delicate the lavender and blue are. Good choice. That lavender pick with the falling blossoms is so pretty.

Oh, I missed you! 💔 I was searching last week for you and hoping you were well. You are so right about the time flying by. We are inside so much during winter and during the day at work that it is so nice to be out and about enjoying the summer weather.
It is nice to be together with our family and friends enjoying time in our backyards. During the summer I look forward to just sitting outside for some quiet moments, biking and discovering new local places to explore. We have a lot of food festivals in the city that share their cultural traditions and artisan works. It is all so much fun. Well now about your amazing beautiful decor. I love how everything flows so beautifully from your kitchen to the dining table and now the living room. You are decorating in a very light feminine delicate way. I Love the mix of the lavender colors and the pale sage green and the blue. There is something so nice about the touches of wicker, like your adorable little basket and the tray. The set up of your sofas look great. It feels good to mix it up every once in a while.

Hi, my sweet friend across the border! I do like what you've done with that rattan, using it as a defined placeholder. I remember them from the 70s: you would put paper plates inside them, and use them at cookouts. Hugs to Holstein!

try to use real lavender sticks they are cheap and last for a long time is you take care of them ! using real or dried fruits and flowers in decorating makes all the difference !
