Yeah, really got to showcase to value of that rule in this one. Higher mobility of Panzerwaffe allowed me to pick the positions I wanted.
Nice close game, always enjoy your sound effects too - anyone who doesn't make noises while playing is a little bit dead inside I reckon.

It is a fun little game that is nice and cheap to get started and permits slow grow forces too - good way to get into 15mmm ww2 IMO.

Definitely made the difference for the German force being able to command the high ground.
Another amazing game down to the wire. Crank that music up Boi's its a German victory!!!! Although the British tanks are holding their own. I feared they might just get steam rolled in the game.
So far TANKS seems to have produced some pretty close games.
So, when rolling your save/defence dice, can a crit only be cancelled out by rolling a crit? I was under the impression that crit or hit save rolls could cancel out either crits or hits? Would make more sense if I’m wrong 😂
Defense hits only cancel crits if there are no regular hits remaining.

When you use a module for example: panzer HE gun, can you chose not to equip the gun on it?
Interesting, I guess you could make an argument for that. We wouldn't because it is historically silly, but I guess you could. That said, technically, that card could be 'shot-off' the tank with a crit.
@@ModellingforAdvantage ok so that means that I could’ve saved myself a whole lot of trouble trying to blow my brother’s Sherman and not sacrifice a T-34
Where do you get the map and houses from
Board and terrain is hand built. Buildings are cheap MDF kits from eBay with a bit of extra work done to get a texture.

I have to wonder if you can break the game with that light tank rule, by charging a full platoon of them into close range and thus getting a silly number of extra attack dice. EG 5 Panzer 3s charging into the enemy giving each other +4 attack dice to hit anything in close range...
I know I know this is not a competitive game, I'm just curious
I am not sure it would stack... Not sure any other rules do.
@@ModellingforAdvantage I'm not seeing where it explicitly says that, but it does seem to be the design principle. I haven't questioned if I can add 2 defence dice for being behind 2 pieces of cover... Though that's not a bad thought for a house rule...

I had my first go at WoT today. 2 tanks each side, Germans trounced the British. I guess I need to run a larger game for it not to be so one sided.
