No, the fight is insufferable enough as it is with his bipolar aggression (one of the most volatile cases of this issue) and a DoT debuff THAT STACKS WITH ITSELF on top of a shit first phase, make this fight to be (imo) one of the worst bosses in the FromSoftware library. That would legitimately make me consider the Bed of Chaos a better fight. I know that a lot of people like this fight, hell there were brief moments where I was enjoying it, it's just bogged down with questionable design choices. The DoT debuff stacking with itself is the part that I find to be pure bullshit design at its worst. Bear in mind I've beaten all of the bosses but Darklurker in the trilogy (due to the shit you have to do to unlock the fight), beaten all Bloodborne bosses and all Sekiro bosses aside from Inner Isshin and Inner Owl (haven't unlocked), so I'm not someone who came in on Elden Ring.
This boss fight was like a David and Goliath moment for me. Here you are, a puny ordinary human, challenging Maliketh, this gigantic werewolf-like demigod, feared by the gods. Maliketh is armed with a greatsword much larger than you are, imbued with the power of "destined death", while all you got is a trusty longsword, which to him could very well be a toothpick. And yet, somehow, you manage to come out on top, and take the power of the Death Rune for yourself.

Now we don't really know how the Shadowbound are created, but if we take the word "stepbrother" literally, and assume he shares at least one parent with Marika, then he is a demigod. If we assume the word is figurative, and Shadows are creations solely from the Fingers, he is still created from the essence of an Outer God, and can be considered to have some godly association either way. Maliketh obviously isn't anything like an ordinary mortal.

This is a nice, smooth loop of one of the best battle themes in the game. It's a tale of ancient dedication, of one that was feared by all--especially his nieces and nephews. And yet, it is the nameless warrior that's killed them all that he's desperately fighting to stop, possibly knowing full well that even he isn't enough to stop their ascent to Elden Lord. You don't get enough views on this, good poster. This is well-made.
Somebody pointed this out. Maliketh has features of all souls borne games so far. Armor like Dark/demon souls Beastly nature of Bloodborne (Kinda like Ludwig) Weilds a Blade capable of slaying immortals like Sekiro.
Malenia is shit compared to Maliketh as a boss. I dont even talk about lore, just have a feeling that Malenia is a quintessence of developer’s wet dreams… In terms of gameplay absolutely uninteresting fight if we compare it with the fight against Maliketh. Even Fire Giant boss fight in terms of his lore and location where he stands is much better

Because black blade is not a joke, it's literally blade of marika..So, I want that extra damage is needed as considering maliketh a major boss episode of elden ring game. And also I want to add gurranq beast clergyman a little more buff and sturdier because currently beast clergyman is weaker than the godskin duo and also weak than the draconic tree sentinel. So a boss I want gurrang too be having both a full HP i.e., 10.6K HP with his own full healthbar during the 1st phase. Then after his complete defeat. Then maliketh would pop out as like every other elden ring bosses with a new full healthbar of another 10.6K. [ and furthermore, I want that Gurranq should perform blackflames like the godskin duo just like other apostles in crumbling farum azula which will give a bonus attack to gurranq damage ]. In this way. Maliketh ( 2nd phase ) would have 10.6K HP with a full healthbar and Gurranq ( 1st phase ) would have 10.6K HP with a full healthbar. Hence, total healtbar of Maliketh and Beast Clergyman will have 21.2K HP...which is still good for a boss fight ( but still pretty low than Malenia's massive 33.2K HP ) And also with my last thing Malenia has 100 poise level but maliketh has 80 only..Again I want maliketh for having both 90 poise level to be more badass boss...but I want to keep gurranq as 80 poise level

Kinda bugs me the best part of his theme is the first like 20 seconds, the section where he oulls the blade out gully and leans back and you get the female vocals, the rest is just pretty eh
Amazing soundtrack, the fight on the other hand...not so much. I personally hate this fight so much, this fight is one that I never felt like I was getting better at, instead the game's RNG was taking pity on me and letting me win, this is an issue that both Radagon and Mohg share Inconsistent aggression has been an issue since the original Dark Souls (Manus and Gwyn suffer from this) and can make those fights either enjoyable or completely insufferable, however both phases of this fight dial up this issue to unreasonable extremes. On my second playthrough I was able to finish him off with two uncharged Frenzied Bursts (for the range, not that Madness buildup) as he slowly walked towards me, he didn't try and attack me for some reason despise me being relatively close to him. Phase 1 is a tedious slog to get through due to you have basically no openings, then you get to phase two and now have to deal with either the, third, fourth or fifth most bullshit mechanic in the game (Bloodflame, Radagon's damaging teleports, healing/lifesteal, Waterfowl is 1st and Radagon's parry is 2nd), the Destined Death DoT debuff since IT STACKS WITH ITSELF, resulting in you dying in a way that you couldn't react to. There were moments where I was enjoying the fight on my second playthrough, however I would get very quickly reminded as to why I hate this fight so much. I get why people like this fight, but I see this fight as an RNG dumpster fire that only belongs in F-Tier.
I get your complaints about Mohg or Maliketh but how in the ever loving FUCK did u find Radagon hard with how predictable his moveset is most of the time ?
As with so much of Elden Rings soundtrack, so bland and unmemorable. Came here because I literally couldn’t tell you what Maliketh’s music sounded like. And thanks to this song, I still can’t. Random chanting with a bunch of underlying stuff muffled and muddied together
I have 1556 hours and 24 minutes total on Elden Ring, as of right now. I can only tell a handful of songs apart from the rest. Maliketh's just isn't memorable...and there is nothing striking about it to be remembered. It's a bunch of tense noise that doesn't flow together. It sounds like the composer didn't really know what to do with it, and was just trying to finish the soundtrack.
Having countless hours on a game and having Knowledge about music theory is a completely different thing. If you dive deeper into that, you'll understand that this theme is a well crafted masterpiece. Fromsoft composers know what they're doing.
