Hi Emma! Thanks so much for doing these videos, I'm MSc1 and your videos are so comforting and make me think I'm on the right track!!! Have you got an SLT twitter, I'm sure the rest of my year would love to follow and check in with you. I'd also love to know what sort of thing you're doing your diss on. Can't believe it'll be me this time next year. You've got this!! xx
Hey Kathryn, so glad you enjoy them !! I am going to make a Twitter, so will let you know when I do and start using it more! My dissertation is currently on aphasia therapy for stroke patients is very interesting !! Hope your first year is going well, first term done!!
Hi Emma, is it possible for people whose second language is English but have obtained 8.0 in IELTS to be admitted as speech therapy MSc students in your course? Thank you!
Hello, when I did the course 2020-2022, we had classes around 3-4 times a week and then when on placement classes once a week and placement 3 days. This does vary though depending on your placements. It may also have changed :)
I'm interested to get admission in speech and language pathology in UK ... but I'm little bit confused , being an international student will it be easy for me to manage my studies along with work after getting admission here in UK ... ?
Hello, I had a maintenance loan which I could get as a UK resident. I am unsure how fees and loans work for international students. I worked alongside this course. However, this was only once - twice a week so it did not fund enough to live in London. I also had support from family which I was very lucky to have. I hope this helps.
Hi Emma did you say you’re studying at city? If so is all of your course still done remotely, or do you have a choice?Im starting in September but was really hoping for in person lectures/seminars as I just can’t concentrate from home
