We say that all the time in the Facebook group. If you have a strong credit profile you don't need all that extra stuff with Navy Federal if you have a weak credit profile that extra stuff is going to help. Remember Navy Federal looks at everything you do with your credit not just what you do with them when they make their decisions pretty much like any other financial institution does. So so much for having the build a relationship if you have a good credit profile.
Just to add to the data for the go prepaid card as of today 10/4/23 you still can add funds from either your navy fed credit card or debit card and the limit is still 10k total with a maximum of 5k reload per day and a maximum 3k point of sell transactions per day and a maximum of 600$ atm withdrawal per day
Just got approved for $25K Flagship with 697 Transunion and nearly maxed out LOC (70% total credit utilization, income $175K). Checking and saving with less than $200 total, $100 DD, with Navy Fed less than two weeks. I am trying to get out from under the LOC because it has a 30% APR. Applied on Sunday morning, got a message saying I would be contacted in 1-2 days with a determination, then got an email an hour later stating I was approved with the $25K credit limit. Really stoked
Ive been gardening my nfcu account w everyday checking for over a year now and my first application is going to be for an auto loan wondering what the case studies on something like my situation would be before i take that inquiry hit... i know it may not be enough details but is it bad to jump straight to an auto loan in my case?
I don't have any data on odds if going into auto loan vs cards first etc. I would say if you have been with them for over a year and using the checking etc then thats usually better than not using at all. Check the prequal tool for credit cards and see what it comes back with as a gauge
80k is the max for credit lending, doesn’t matter if you consolidate 3 cards or 2 cards at the end of the day your still being trusted with 80k, I’m at 79,500, once I hit the 80k I’m gonna combine the platinum and cash rewards to the flagship, 80k on 1 card just looks better
Actually unless things have changed in the last 2 years.. my auto loan on my GTR was 70k and I put nothing down. I literally just applied and went to a branch and collected the check and went on my merry way.
6:06 When I got my 2nd More Rewards, I tried to get some of my 1st one’s limit transferred to the 2nd one, they said they dont do that. So far thats from one one rep I spoke to.
It can be done. You have to specify you want to do it for a balance transfer. I just did it recently. I had a $17,000 more rewards card, 27000 Flagship, and a $36,000 Platinum. I had them take 3000 off the flagship move it to my more Rewards. Then I have them take another 4,000 off the flagship and move it to my Platinum Card. So now I have a $20,000 more Rewards a 20,000 Flagship and a 40,000 Platinum. I did this on the same phone call All three of them at their lowest interest rate offered. And like you said you may need to call and get a different rep.
@@sinned96 - Oh ok. So u HAVE to say its for a Balance Transfer? Cuz I used the term “limit reallocation” and the rep was like… “I dont know what that is” and “we dont do that”.
@@darkenstzcorneille3340If you do go for it, I would probably start with cash rewards, that seems like their "starter card" outside of secured. Look if you have low utilization and been doing DDs of good amount over this last 12 months then your odds would be good, not much else pregame work you can do.
Late night hack is a myth the same computer program approves you or denies 24 hours a day. The only time a person looks at your credit card application is if there is an issue that the computer program cannot figure out. This is been well verified by navy federal employees in our Facebook group

Vehicle can not have a salvage or rebuilt title to get a vechile loan, you will have to get a personal loan

Ya agreed, that will be killer on your profile
I think the max LOC amount dropped from $15,000 to $5,000 for active military members & $3,000 for all others.
I think you right

Ya I think they have changed it because people abusing, going and getting that check and using for other things and not the car purchase

They do
@@rayundouglass1923 - Well, maybe I need to talk to another one to get it done.
It seems up in the air right now in general, the only card that should still be allowed in More Rewards Amex but I think it just depends on the rep

The definitely go higher than 50K for cars. I got a 90K pre-approval
The price of cars nowadays 50k isn't going to get you much. You definitely ain't going to get a pickup truck for that I mean a real pickup truck
Haha true!
Ya that will move up/down with the car market and inflation, I remember when $90k could get you a loaded out M3. What you trying to get?
Yes same here auto loan I got over 76K approved but did not take offer
If I never had a credit card but had them for 11 months with a savings checking, and direct deposit …do you think I’ll get a good credit limit?
I have no idea, whats credit score and overall profile looking like?
@@WalletMonkeys in the 640’s and again I’ve been with navy for almost a year and direct deposits all year long and I got pre qualified for all cards
you do prequal yet?
@@WalletMonkeys yea I was prequalified for all cards
