Taking a look at the Hybrid mode "hack" that has been going on with the Quad Cortex. This is a nice little trick to get a simple layout and make things very easy when gigging. This can also be used for Looper X controls, as you can see in the midi input list. Go crazy with this, and let me know what you do with it!

Too many caveats to using it this way. I will wait on the update. Also I agree that when you add something to a scene it should be for that scene only. Pisses me off that when I add something I have to go into every scene and turn it off. I love the unit but don’t understand the programming philosophy. Thanks again for the videos Steve. Good job making them.

I finally can get rid of my midi foot switch that I bought ONLY for the tuner to be turned on quicker by a single tap 😭 !! I got the QC since the release almost and I didn’t even know the QC could send to itself midi messages
This is very cool. I might prepare a top row of presets and a bottom row of scenes of said presets and see what happens.
That would be an absolute killer set up!

Great video Steve! Now that the update allows for multiple bypass in stomp mode, I think it solves a lot of the issues this hybrid hack originally addressed. What are the uses for it now? I'm thinking of using it to do something like turn on a 2nd gain stage, but turn off the 1st, which would be useful if I had the 1st gain stage on already... basically specific uses for scenes...
You can still use the scenes to change parameters using this method. The hack is getting more useless as updates go on ! So thats good 👍
Well, that was fascinating! 😲👍 Since I don't have a QC, I'm wondering if something similar could be done on the HX Stomp with MIDI to control Knobs 1-3 which (as far as I can tell) sit idol when in any of the following 4 Modes, i.e. Stomp, Scroll, Preset, Snapshot. 🤔🤓
You don't need midi! Just use command center 😄
@@SteveSterlacci Unfortunately, I'm not very good at MIDI. I was looking for the CC numbers to control the "Encoder Knobs," but couldn't find them. I found other Pre-Assigned CC numbers for different funtions. Do you happen to know what they are? Perhaps "custom MIDI controller assignments " would need to be made. 🤷♂️
