Low charging power at 16:00 in video is likely due the “150 kW” rated charger only providing 150 kW to 800 V cars. Max amperage is likely the limit for the 400 V Tesla and other 400 V cars using the charger.
nono i think it is Power Grid LIMIT! u have same 70 kw as when u did share with MG, 33+35 isch.. so 70KW from grid.
I love Thailand, I like traveling all over Thailand, but driving at night is nightmarish. Cars without lights, ghost driver all over the high way. Kids driving pickups, bursting wheels, racing buses etc ... At night this is truly a nightmare.
Great you share this experience. Planning to move to Thailand in a couple of years and wanted to see the charging infrastructure. Good around Bangkok it seems, less good further out. Thanks for sharing!
Glad to see this video. My wife and I drive this route many times each year and we were wondering how well a Tesla Model 3 LR would work and the charging infrastructure. Seems like more time is needed for charging upgrades.

When it comes to speeding fines I was doing 103 on a 90 road, was zapped by a mobile radar, pulled over and had to pay a 500 baht fine. You can definitely get a stationary radar fine for doing 115 in a 90 zone as well.

I just drove to Songkhla last weekend and face the same issue. PTT 150kW just deliver 70kW. Shell Recharge is the best as it delivered up to 170kW.
I used your link for Black Friday deal and was quite impressed. (Knob Highland M3). However I had lots of difficulty but the guys at Enhance were very good to respond and help. I had a problem they did not see before and ultimately I sent it back. It’s good but not good enough for me just yet. (Continuous autopilot didn’t work. Sync on hvac temp and fan speed didn’t work, turn indicators was corrupting the internal light bar, gear change buggy etc) pity I did like it.
Nothing wrong with the stalls, they are 200A so get a 800V car then you get 150 kW. When two 400V cars share this they split on around 80kW so 30-40kW on each car is maximum.
No app was abit of a bummer Bjorn, hopefully Y Juniper will have same suspension refinement as Highland and then i Musk have one !!
@16:10, it's probably a 150kw charger only when using 800V architecture. It might be limited to 200A.
when i driving EV at Thailand, i only use PEA charger. Never fail on charging.
Bjorn can you refer to the problem that TESLA highland has from september 2024 . It's about APU/Main computer. I think that in Norway there is 2000 teslas that need to change their computer
When I visit Pattaya it is usually necessary to book a time slot for the PTT chargers as they are often busy. Also during the day it is invarably difficult to see the screen on the chargers or the phone to scan. There is a desperate need to improve the charging network in Thailand. On the positive side the electricity is very cheap compared with the UK.

Charger scam everywhere. Even Tesla chargers in the Netherlands are not flawless.. Yesterday the chargers at Weert and at Tilburg in the Netherlands only gave 30 kW... With pre-heated battery. Moved to Fastned: 180 kW...
would be interesting to see the difference between a white and a black tesla in those temperatures!
DCFC should state max Amps not Power. In Australia Ampol ABB chargers have the same issue 160kW advertised but a 200A limit. Imagine this BS at a petrol station, there would be riots.

Is it partly because its an LG battery instead of Panasonic one, the charging curve is bad for LR AWD. ?
So LR or SR for mix road trips ? Is the difference in acceleration big between them?
Maybe the detour to the Supercharger wouldn't be so bad after all...

we have plenty but people who use ev is increasing so people are afraid to invest on charging station because ev thrend in thailand just start at 2023

around 7-8 (0.24 usd) baht per kw/h at home it around 4-5 (0.14 usd) baht per kw/h
Compare to gasoline ev is 60-70% cheaper on consumption(with thai gasoline price)

No, it’s not possible with the buttons. But auto-autopilot is epic. Also it can disable overspeed warning. Really really happy with the button

Björn, I found out why the disable cruise button sometimes does not responds or responds slowly (in one of your oldest highland reviews).
When enabling autopilot in 1-press (practically disabling cruise), the disable is no longer lagging or not responding!
Probably a bug that Tesla does not know about

It seems a general problem with most countries at the “beginning” of expanding EV charging… not properly regulated, standards, making sure that they are all set up to work with just card, etc… so frustrating as makes it much harder.
I'm curious to see how a BYD Seal RWD would behave.

Decent enough charging is required for most folks, not many people doing that sort of distance daily. And if each charging stop has great healthy food options, stopping to eat you plugin.

@ in the US, “Chargepoint” most of their speed is around 6 kw, so a non-Tesla EV takes at least a day to charge

Plenty of. Edit.: the last sw versions improved this aspect, and it depends on the roads and traffic conditions, but ghost braking is still present.

The problem is not 1080p. The camera shoots in 35 Mbps and straight from the camera it's super crisp. It's RUclips that re-codes and crushes the quality.
Maybe variable bitrate / lower bit rate or some compression technique lowers the RUclips quality.

For the life of me, I just don’t know how you are able to drive without shoes! I would not feel very secure in emergency situations when stepping on the break needs to be so forceful.
In Europe I drive without shoes and only wear socks. I've been doing it for over 10 years now.
I understand the danger of using flip-flops when driving. But driving without shoes? What's the problem there? I always drive without shoes during summer.
