Great video! I bought my Venom after seeing your initial review about a year ago. I absolutely love it! It still runs perfectly in spite of my accidental efforts to melt it. My experiences have literally paralleled yours. For what it's worth, they now sell adapter clips so it will fit on a 26". I'm planning to upgrade at some point. The tinfoil on the fire grate is an excellent idea. I'm stealing that! Thank you!

Don't melt it 😂! I'm sure there is a good story there. I thought it was awesome that they released the clips for the 26 in kettles. That will make a lot of people happy.

Great Info on many of your videos!
Thinking of buying a Venom for a new Weber performer. They have the leg post Holes but no legs. Do you think I can fit it between the Kettle and the Slightly higher metal storage rack?

I love my Venom! I've had the exact same app issues that you do, so that is my only real complaint. Unfortunately for long overnight cooks I have had to back up the Venom with a separate wifi thermometer. Hopefully the connection issues becomes a thing if the past. And their technical and customer support is the best I have ever seen!

They have been pretty amazing with their support. With enough time, they should be able to get the app fixed. It's a good thing the Venom doesn't rely on the app.

Here's a question, why don't the top vents have chimney caps? When it's raining doesn't water get into the vent if it's out in the rain? I think some people would benefit as they may not be able to move their grill under some type of canopy.

Does anything seem to help with the connection issues? It was pretty annoying when I was doing my brisket for Christmas!

I'm thinking about getting one of these...do you need to remove this to be able to use the only fire pizza/rotisserie and on

Other then the app disconnects I've been happy with my Venom I've had it since April & It's mounted to my early 00's Performer. The only down side to using it on a performer is that the screen points about 60 degrees to the right of front. It makes me more reliant on the app but, the grill was free so, I'm not complaining.

That's a pretty sweet setup and the price was right :)

So after watching your venom videos, I decided to buy a venom. I'm having an issue with it and was wondering if anyone has the same issue. The issue is that every time I use the venom, I have to remove my device from the app and start the adding process all over again. I also have to start the process over again if my app disconnects. Any advice would help. Thanks
