Ukulele & Bones Ragtime Duet

- Here I am playing a somewhat improvised ragtime doo-dad made up of bits of tunes and rhythms that my friend Devin Champlin (of Gallus Brothers fame) is playing on an old Martin ukulele he's fixing up (as well as being a fine musician and singer, he's also a luthier and carpenter, as well as a local fashion plate). I'm playing bones made from cow ribs in my left hand (from the local supermarket), and bones made from buffalo ribs in my right. The ukulele is strung with vintage gut strings (except one, which broke and was replaced with Nylgut).

One of my favourite things on the whole of You Tube.
Very nice!
In Spain we have an instrument that we call "tejoletas". It is played in the same way.
But in your videos is in the firts place I have seen play with both hands.
Congratulations, Jeff.
So cool and so much fun. And it's just two guys in a living room. Perfectly mobile and portable, yet big sound and smiles. Would love to see this same setup videoed on a city street.
You both are such talented individuals clearly - fine tune and thanks for making me smile inside

I have a concert ukulele with nylgut strings that sounds great, so I guess it would depend on the ukulele. That or the fact that he's mixing the real gut and nylgut strings.
you guys inspired me to play the bones. You both sounds great. Can I ask what the piece of music is called. Do you to know what I could get the Uke tab or chords.
The "sticks" are called bones, or rhythm bones. You can get to my web page through my profile, and learn more about them, I have some links, lessons, and recordings there.
gut strings? as in cat gut strings?
nice! Pls chords!
i will like to know the chords :)
