Recording King RU-998 Resonator Ukulele Review

Today (recorded on International Vyshyvanka Day!) I take a look at the RU-998 resonator ukulele made by Recording King. I recorded this video with no processing, no, special effects, etc. This will hopefully give you a good idea how it will sound should you get one yourself. I was very curious about this instrument before I purchased it and didn't find many video examples so I decided to make this video. I discuss the pros and cons of this specific instrument. No, I don't use the instrument a lot - and so far not in a recorded setting, so I haven't had much need to mess with it, but yes, I am still very curious how it would sound with a high-end cone in it! Thanks for asking!

Yes! Once I changed the strings and replaced the tuners, it worked and sounded fine! I really don’t have the opportunities to use it often, but it’s sounding fine! As much as I’d love a National, I’d never use one enough to warrant the cost.
