I've only purchased frags from FN less than a handful of times. I've had no issues with authentic juice. My only beef with them is, even though you select the time frame for which you want your parcel delivered....They usually take their time actually SHIPPING it! So, if you choose (and subsequently pay) to have it delivered in, say, 2 days - they may not ship it for up to a WEEK or more! -___-
Yeah your telling me in the shipping they take their dear ass time and they always give u the same fragrance sampler every time ! I go to the Fragrance X now with free shipping and they ship super fast!!
Yes yes thats it !!!! Thats friggn it bastards are stalling my orders because I inquire???? Not the way it works man mfrs need to be accommodating me in 7 months ive orderd over 40 fragrances and wine vouchers??? Plz ! shoot me some cash like a coupon miss me with that cherry wine Debarge
I'm going to try fragrance x they had XS original which looks like fragrancenet don't have available anymore they wanna bamboozle you with a a new preso ppssshh plz !!! Forget about presentation get that juice right doe doe birds think their slick😁😄 Cheap ingredients is like stepped on coke no bueno man 😏
i got an amouage jubilation xxv from australia paid $389 then bought the same fragrance from fragrancenet . and the blue jewel on the cap is slightly smaller than the circle ? i dunno smells the same though .
Fragrancenet is definitely legitimate. I've been buying from them for years and never had a fake bottle or any problems, except for slow shipping sometimes.
People say Fragnet sells old (expired) frags. I've heard old frags become weak, yet my June/July 2013 batch of La Nuit is so strong on my skin that I can only wear 1 spray while indoors. Smells amazing too. The frag will be 4 years old in just a few months.
Lionel Woods i have not had any issues. Ordered same stuff that I paid 100 bucks for at Dillards. Now I have seen fakes and researched online that tell you what the fakes look like vs. Real. Mine are all real!
I'm a collector, and at least half of my collection has come from Fragrancenet. Thus far, I've had a couple of bottles come unwrapped and previously sprayed, but the amount of juice missing was insignificant. I simply assume someone in the warehouse wanted to try it before shipping it out, because of the ones (listed new) that I've received unsealed, none has had issues with lasting power that I hear fakes do. I do complain when I get new perfumes that are in fact open, and thus far the vast majority of my purchases have been in pristine condition, with valid manufacturer codes, in sealed boxes. Only one perfume has ever arrived smelling old, and that was a limited edition from some years ago, which might easily have sat in a non-temperature controlled warehouse before Fragrancenet got that particular lot. I have also purchased a couple of testers, and those have been in great condition; most of them appear never to have been sprayed (the nozzles don't smell of fragrance, and in clear bottles, there is air visible in the spray tube). I have gotten fragrances from Mugler, Dior, Lutens, and Guerlain, all legit, all smelling good and lasting as per the average user review on Fragrantica (and those I've sampled previously have matched the decant or the scent on my skin when tested in store). I have bought one Creed, and to my knowledge (from what I recalled of the scent) it is genuine. I will, however, procure a new sample for compare and update when I do.
dracdoc ...aaaand then I placed an order for Lapidus Rumba. The good news: They sent me the Balenciaga version instead! The bad news: The bottle is about 30% full with juice that's a very dark brown and has an acrid smell, and the sprayer is broken. Oops! I have no idea how that happened, but will likely be returning it. If the juice was still good I'd probably keep it and consider it a lucky mistake. Ah, well.
GREY MARKET - Where they are coming from? It's like how Walmart is selling their 2.5 oz Armani Essenza online for $60 bucks instead of $110 at Macys. The fragrance designers do not have as solid of a hold on some of the European and Asian markets, so they sell their product to distributors that are meant to sell them to local botiques and perfumeries, but some turn around and sell them in bulk to places like Walmart, Target and even fragranceNet to make a quick profit. FragranceNet seems to be acquiring theirs from many places though, as you see reviews of altered, watered down product as well as real(don't see many of those though). So you better go in knowing its a shot in the dark whether you will get a real product or fake/altered. If you purchase it online from Walmart, just make sure that it says "Sold and shipped from Walmart", not a 3rd party as you have no easy return policy or guaranty then. Walmart will return an opened product that was purchased online as well, so there you have a easy way of getting your money back. Doing some research and making a purchase, Walmarts is legit as long as its shipped and sold by them, the only thing I'd be a little concerned about is how old is the product and where it was stored. I hate to give Walmart any business, but if you're on a tight budget and would like a quality cologne/perfume its a much better option than ordering from FragranceNet. Hope this helps
Always amazed at the psychology of people who never have $350 to buy a fragrance they absolutely love from an authorized retailer, but always have $250 to gamble on a version of that fragrance that may be fake or degraded by age and storage conditions. Even if Fragrancenet has the best intentions, they sell over 10,000 items from over 400 vendors. Fakes can sneak into the supply chain. They can't possibly verify the authenticity of every bottle.
I agree with this. I've had a good experience with the 50+ bottles of cologne and perfume I've purchased for both my girlfriend and I. I, however, do not purchase the ultra scents from them. I'd rather pay more and get it from a well chosen authorized dealer. I do, however, purchase the Dior's, Givenchy's, YSl's, etc from FN and have only had one issue. Customer service is good, shipping is sloooooooow, though.
Well done video. Very honest, and let me say very conservative. My experience: I bought two from fragranceNet. One of them was Bvlgari Aqva, and the other one I don't remember now, so I just talk about my Bvlgari Aqva. It looks legit, but the scent fades away in less than 30 minutes, plus when you compare the box and the bottle side by side to the one from Macy's you will notice there are many differences.
I've bought multiple fragrances from them and have had ZERO problems. I bought a bottle of Creed GIT and it was brand new and I even confirmed it w/ the code on a cosmetic checker site.
I know I'm super late with commenting however I've ordered from FN for years and I would consider myself a perfume enthusiast. I have hundreds of fragrances. I've never had any issues with receiving fake products.
I check date codes. Typically I see the discounters selling product nearing one year old. Generally speaking they have a three year life, so I feel good about the remaining two years for the discount. Never received a fake, but one time I received a bottle that was 6 years old. (not Fragrance Net) Good topic...
Thing is, "old product" is often what we perfumistas want. Heck, I wish I could order and get the originals of scents now changed beyond recognition. lol. Have never had an problem with fragrancenet. Just bought Creed Tubereuse Indiana from them and, it's great. But yes, I know Creed can be one that is faked, albeit usually the more popular scents in the Line. I think illegal "copiers" more often than not go for uber-popluar designer scents. Having said that, we probably all have a fake in our collection, lurking somewhere.
True, 90% of reformulations are often never as good as the original formula. They become more generic overall as the company is trying to save money, they get you hooked on the scent with the original formula in testers at stores then when you buy it they're not even close performance wise, not as strong nor as long lasting by a very notable amount. I remember spraying polo red at macys that lasted about 6 hours, then i bought it and it lasted 2-3 hours then you could barely smell it even with your nose right on it. Glad I returned it right away and got my $50 back.
I fuck with FragranceNet. So far I have gotten Spicebomb, Invictus, L'eau D'issey, The One, Animale Animale, Boss Bottled, Cool Water, Aqua Di Gio and Polo Red ALL from FragranceNet. When the product arrives I check it out on the Cosmetic Calender, and so far Ive been very pleased with the age of the products I've received. The Cosmetic Calender will let you know if its real and when it was bottled. checkcosmetic.net
That's right. You enter a company name and the code on the bottom of the bottle. If the company for instance "Dolce and Gabbana" put out a product with that number on it, that's real and it tells you the date it was bottled.
A good age in a bottle is like one year ago. I mean if you buy it on 2016, at least the date manufactured is like 2015 and there is a month actually, example march 2015. :)
First new to the fragrance collection and everything I own and enjoy was because of you DOC. I just got a bottle of Private Affairs Baldessarini for men from Overstock and it was nothing like what I experienced at NM. I took two sprays at the store lasted 6 hours and what I got only lasted 1 hour if I was lucky and yes I double check both bottles and they say the same. I even took a spray bath in it and still drop off in 1 hour. Now watching your video I get it now. Overstock does not exchange for the same bottle so $49.00 learning experience.
I've ordered from them alot. Ive had all good ones. I think they are bottles that didn't sell well so they get snatched up by places like fragrancenet.
abcd34545 you’re absolutely right. Don’t trust any site that sells fragrances for incredibly cheap prices. They very sneakily water down the perfumes or just sell very good fakes. You’ll notice as soon as u spray it on that the scent is gone after a few mins. That’s them watering it down with alcohol. I would rather buy from Nordstrom or Macy’s and know for sure it’s authentic and if u just keep an eye out, they also have nice sales too. Maybe not 70-80% off like those sites that sell fakes or watered down fragrances but they do have 20%-30% often and that’s great too. IMHO a
Over the years I've bought several different fragrances from fragrancenet and have never had an issue,I trust the scents to be 100percent authentic, and I also love this cite because of the great deals that I get and shipping is free with a $59.00 purchase and sometimes they send me coupons for an extra 20-25 percent off your total purchase and no minimum for free delivery.
I ordered two colognes...put in the correct shipping information...they said their was a problem with shipping & it was being shipped back to the company. Called they said they would re-send but they are all out of stock..so they will credit the $92.38 back to my account. Still waiting....still haven't credited my money back.
I can't say with 100% certainty if the two Creeds I bought from Fragrancenet (and then returned) were fake or just badly degraded, but they weren't the same as the authentic in-store scents. Aventus from Fragrancenet is missing the fir and leather notes, and it fades away within two hours. My authentic bottle from Creed lasts 10+ hours. Green Irish Tweed was too sharp in the opening and had no sandalwood in the basenotes.
hmm....i just got my polo black i ordered from them. 3.4 size and it smells exactly the same as my cousin's 6.7 bottle he has that he got from Macy's. im actually waiting on my bottle of aventus and tom ford to come in tomorrow from them. since this is my first time ever ordering something from them the only grip i have is the long wait for receiving it. but then again the USPS is as slow as Christmas. but as far as this scent goes, i have no complaints. im sure i wont have any tomorrow from aventus either. ive ordered scents from amazon as well and never had any issues. i guess its just the luck of the draw with me.
I keep seeing people saying that the fragrance that they bought from the website is fake because the scent only lasts a hour, that is mainly due to the heat and the perfume getting shucking up during delivery. That slighting changes the lasting power and sometimes the scent of the fragrance.
Possible but most likely no longevity means a fake. Big red flag especially when you are sure that fragrance has longevity. People order delivery from department stores and don’t have longevity issues, unless it’s the fragrance itself, like Viva la juicy which is known for not lasting.
I purchased Angel and hermes for myself and both were fake or old. The angel was missing notes and my hermes was very weak and I already had a bottle that was running low so I was able to compare the 2 and I'm certain my wife isn't wrong about her favorite perfume either, so no more Beauty encounter, FN or Amazon for my high end buys because I've got junk from all 3.
I used them for the first time last week. I put my order in Sunday night. They processed it Monday. I used their automatic 30% off and paid an extra $2-$3s for 4 day shipping. When the box got here it had 3day shipping. Got it Wednesday 11am. 3.4 360red and it is legit.$26ish total. Has a big scratch on the silver trim but no big deal. I will use them again over amazon. They sent a sample of Exceptional for Men. Meh. I love 360Red and use it lightly for work. I'm a cook so I have to be careful. The women love it. Very fresh and pleasant. Good luck.
Have you ever tried Perfume Americana in Midtown? I've gone there about three times for discontinued/not as popular designer perfumes and have had good luck with scoring legitimate fragrances each time.
I just bought two Creed fragrances from fragrance.net green irish tweed and neroli sauvage. both of them do not have the embossed spray top and the sauvage neroli had no lot number on the inside of the label, calling fragrance.net tmro. I have purchased 6 flacons from Saks, plus 5 atomizers all from Saks,I was trying to get the bottles, not the flacons, well I will only keep buying from saks or creed. Thank you for your review
Cody, can you touch on the different Creed atomizers/ sprayers? Fragrancenet.com has been a place where I've purchased Creed's, all having a different atomizer than the traditional Creed logo on the top of the sprayer. Do you know why this is?
I rather buy the cheapies like Voyage or Perry Ellis Red on Fragrancenet cause the discounts stores like Marshalls or Burlington be jay jerking people with their prices.
Thanks for this video. I just came across this site and they offered a 25% coupon. Their prices are very low already, so that raised a couple of flags for me. I'm glad to know that I can order from them, worry-free.
Yeah I have never had a problem with sites like fragrancenet or fragrancex (I was even sent an email from Scentstory to utilize Fragrancex to purchase there products in the United States in an official capacity...) and have used both of them many times... The fragrance's boxes are not always pristine which may be a reason the companies are trying to sell off the stock or the dates per checkcosmetic will sometime put the fragrances at multiple years old which would also point to the fragrances being 'dumped' on them at a discount for being past the BS shelf date... (This worked in my favor getting a vintage DHI though for cheaper then retail... ^_^) All in all I have never had an issue getting a fake but the shipping is normally very slow (though free...) and it's not usually packed the best when shipped but all in all I have been very pleased with my experiences from the grey market... Awesome video as always man...
First of all Cody, Cheers for the great vid...!!!! Last year I purchased Pure malt & YSL L'homme from FragNet. L'homme's came unsealed and the batch code was cut out. And it lasted only about 1 hour on my skin. I was so upset as I'm from New Zealand and it would be pain to return the l'homme back. But luckily they just refunded the money without even asking me to send it back to them. So go figure :)
I've gotten a bottle of Chergui, 2 bottles of DHI, and a bottle of 1 million from fragrancenet. All have been pleasant thus far. Then again, these are some of the strongest powerhouses on the market! Will take many many many years for the juice to fade out.
Bro I just creed Aventus - Its fake , so fake Im going to return it and tell my credit card to dispute it - I cant believe i fell for this criminal company
I bought a bottle of Chole and it was so weak. I have been ordering from FragranceNet for at lease 2 years. One other time I ordered some Poison colonge it was fake. I sent it back and they sent me a good bottle.
I have purchased several fragrances with Fragrancenet and so far no issues. Except one fragrance did come with a leak around the atomizer but Fragrancenet immediately shipped me another one and came really fast. 👍🏽
Why I only buy cologne online that is cheap and I can afford it to be a fake. Or if I can't get it in retail. Anything a little more expensive, typically, I go retail.
My first purchase from fragrancenet was Creed Millesime Imperial in 2011. It was probably real, but it smelled so stale that I got rid of it and have never bought from them again.
I used to think the same about older stock, but I've seen some people post about having bought Creeds from FN recently, and they came with the new Creed bottles with the new sprayers
Interesting. I bought two bottles from them recently. Both match the (very legit) samples I have exactly, scent, longevity, etc. Bottles are the quality I would expect. Perhaps I got lucky given what some are reporting but while I got a discount it wasn't huge and the results are certainly real.
I would not risk it! Today I received an order for a perfume that I bought from department stores many times, and I immediately recognized that the scent was different. The color of the perfume, Vera Wang Princess, is usually purple, but the perfume from fragrancenet was brown. I sprayed it and it lasted for a couple seconds. I wish I did more research before wasting money.
Wow really? I bought a Vera Wang Princess last year from them as well and it was fine color and scent-wise. However, it wasn't too long lasting so I'm not sure if my bottle was old/fake or if the fragrance itself just has poor longevity.
I have been using FN for years and have never had a problem. All legit products. It does take a week to get product but that's ok with me. Love the savings......
I purchased from them once and it seemed like a couple of their fragrances where fake, as they didnt last as long as the one I purchased retail. Specifically the Calvin Klein Eternity.
My mom got a medium sample of dior J‘adore from macy's and the scent wasn't lasting at all. The sample has the exact same scent as my other bottle of J'adore but not lasting. I guess it's how they make samples sometimes and fragrancenet are selling them. But I'm not going to purchase anything else other than perfume on this website for sure.
Thanks Cody. I had this ? after buying a bottle of Aventus for a lil over $200 from BJ's wholesale then talking to the boutique. Smells good, looks very authentic to me, I believe its the real deal. Wasn't as smoky as a sample I got from online so it had me questioning things.
I just ordered Creed MI from them a few weeks back and it was a fake, they are allowing me to return it though, hopefully I'll get cash back. I'll update this and let you guys know.
There’s a Creed Royal Oud on FragranceNet it’s a 4oz bottle for $223 but the picture of the bottle has a box next to it and the box looks fake. There is no gold around the label and that to me is a red flag all over it. What’s anybody’s option on that?..
@dracdoc, first I want to say that I love all of your videos, but I do have a question....what's your take on Parfumania? I tend to get bottles from them time to time. I don't think they sell fake but how are they able to sell frags for a good discount.
The gray market is like the saying "gray area" which means an undefined situation or subject that does not seem to conform to known categories or rules. Hence the word gray
I bought my aqua di gio from fragrancenet and it didn't smell the same as the one I by from department store. It wasn't as potent and didn't stay on me as long as the store kind and also did not smell right at all. What should I do?
@@samoo8933 It has a imprinted a number 2 in the glass and a sticker over it. There shouldn't be any imprinted numbers at the bottom on the glass covered with a sticker. If u want to see the pictures I'll show u all of the mistakes with the bottle. I kept the bottle to show people. I took it to Perfurmania it's a cologne and perfume shop at the mall and I showed the owner she was shocked.
Never been burned by this site and I have ordered from them over 20 times in the last 6 or 7 years I think. Most recent purchase was 3 creeds, Royal Water, MI, and Himalaya, all three are legit and smell the same as the ones I got from creed last year for double the price. The Royal Water even had a sticker from a retailer in Paris on the bottom of the box lol
I'm 34 and I haven't brought cologne since Calvin Klein Cool Water in middle school. I like to wear nice cloths and I just thought a good fragrance would be a compliment to my wardrobe, cause they could make your cloths and your ride smell good, so I spent nearly $300 on a small collection at fragrancenet.com, but I brought Chanel Allure Sport from Chanel official website and I wore it immediately on a windy day and it held good all day. Now I feel like I gotta go and make sure I got what I paid for from fragrancenet.com. I subscribed to your page, thanks for the info...I hope I'm not disappointed.
How can you even watch out for old products, I fully believe that they are selling authentic products but I am sure that most of their stuff is old. I have ordered 2 perfumes from them and none of them seem to last longer than an hour, when they are supposed to last way longer according to many reviews.
Hello, thanks for the video to begin with, and a quick question, would you advise to purchase a fragrance that was discontinued on fragrancenet? I know that jil sander no4 has been discontinued, franrancenet has it for a pretty reasonable price, i don't know if i'm getting a real deal with them.. thanks!!
L. Bartolotta Hi, I would never advise anyone to do something unless they feel comfortable about making a move like buying a fragrance online. I recently bought a discontinued fragrance from Fragrancenet - Viktor and Rolf's Antidote. It is PERFECT. Longevity, Silage, Scent everything is as should be, smells incredible! I know you replied months ago, but in case you never made the decision perhaps my insight would help you in the future. Happy smelling, HP
I've had two bad experiences with them. One of them was the Creed bottle I bought from them. The other bad experience was when I ordered 2 bottles(one expensive and one cheap) from them and after the order went through, they told me the more expensive item that I really wanted is not in stock so they shipped only the cheap bottle to me without asking me. I ended up paying shipping to Canada for 1 cheap bottle ( cost me more than a juice for just shipping)! their customer service sucks too!
I think you said something very key that no one talks about.. Even if the fragrance is legit.. How old is the juice? it seems like a lot of times when i buy from fragrancenet the juice doesn't last as long .. I mean don't get me wrong sometimes its exactly the same..
Well said Cody. I know as reviewers you guys get asked a lot of questions. Thank you for taking time to respond to the viewers. Very classy sir. . . Cheers. . .
I have no issue so far with Fragrance Net but I don't buy Creed or Reflection type fragrances and the perfumes I do buy I'm pretty familiar with.I did bought a La Nuit which supposedly sucks now with reformulation and to my suprise it actual reminds me of the old one. Maybe is a fake cause I heard lots of fake YSL La Nuit L'homme actual are better than the new legit one.
I've purchased four fragrances from Fragrancenet thus far: Viktor and Rolf Antidote Chopard wish D&G Pour homme Armani Code I must say, I have had absolutely ZERO problems. The only one I was a bit ??? about was Armani Code. It smells a little bitter? Not sure if this is the actual smell (pretty bad, not a good frag if this is the case) since I never tested it because I bought this for a dear friend of mine. I'm going to the mall tomorrow to get me a sample of Code to see if it is in fact the juice itself that I do NOT like, or that the one from fragnet (came in today, mind you) has simply gone bad. All of the others I have tested and the they have been 100% legit. Shipping has been lighting fast though granted, I am in the northeast :) I must say, Armani code bitter smell aside, they have been absolutely FANTASTIC. Best, HP
Where do all sunglasses, or glasses were made from brands Ray-Ban, Dolce, Von Zipper, Prada, etc. they are not made from the actual designer stores, they were made/assembled in one factory in Italy...like fragrance in one or more factory that were made in Europe/Middle East/Japan...I know because I work for Macy's, and (former employee of Nordstrom). After we get new orders we usually have to sent the fragrance(old 2+ months) that was on the sale floor to FragranceNet, and some other fragrance online store. Place the new delivery in the sales floor.
Just received my Dolce and Gabbana The One EDP and the outside wrapper had been opened and re-taped closed. They cut out some labels from the box. Totally sketchy!
I did. They sent me a replacement bottle and that one arrived in the same condition. I ended up keeping the bottle. I believe the cologne is real but, I don't know why they do that to their fragrances. I've received other fragrance bottles from them with similar issues on the boxes. Just ordered another bottle of The One EDP from Beautyspin.com. Bottle arrived properly wrapped. So, I'm happy. I would do business with both companies again.
I have always assumed it was a gray market organization. I made perhaps three purchases from them over the past 15 years, two of which seemed legit, but the last one was definitely a fake. So I haven't gone back since (about 7 years ago). When ya have just one bad experience with a distributor when it comes to frags, it's never worth a second chance in my book. Why bother when we have other decant places that are far more trusted, and some youtubers and FB people that we can trust for splits/decants. The only disadvantage is that we have to wait for the offers to come around with the YT/FB offers, but it's still worth it knowing we're getting the real thing. I seriously doubt any of the YTers would risk their rep by sending diluted or fake crap, and my experience so far, altho limited, was great. But thanks for the video and your opinion/insights.
I have used fragrancenet a couple times and I normally get good items that's real legit...but once I got tom ford tobacco vanille and it didn't seem to be legit..I didn't smell anything like the real thing..but I think it could have been old maybe I had lost different notes overtime..what could suggest is to use them and if you dont like the product return it.
A) I have purchased multiple fragrances from FragNet, and -0- problems so far. These purchases do include a Creed, some Armani, some Thierry Muglers...top note fragrances. B) Thanks, DracDoc, for the time you spend in making these videos. I have turned to your reviews for many of my blind purchases, and will continue to do so in the future. C) Have a great day all!
Went to Ulta sprayed some coach.. lasted days.. I wanted to buy it because I kept smelling it on my coat.. moving forward I bought a bottle from fragrance net for half price.. for some reason it lasted a few hours.. disappointed
I once purchased stuff from fragranceX. The fragrance was 199% fake and smelled of nothing at all. Compared to the real deal, the price wasn't actually all that much cheaper. If fragrancenet is anything like fragranceX I'd avoid it like the plague.
Great information. Thanks for explaining about the 'grey market'. Never knew about that. Makes a lot of sense. I've made quite a few purchases from FragranceNet in the past and one just recently. So far, so good.
I ordered two perfumes from them today without doing a little research (which is rare for me). Then I saw so many bad reviews and it sent me into a panic. I'm definitely going to compare UPC codes.
I normally do my research but I was so happy to see my Bond No. 9 at a great price and purchased. Then I saw bad reviews. The next morning the purchase flagged my credit card. I'm hoping it's legit. Should receive it next week.
Kim McDaniel i am thinking of ordering the Scent of Peace from Bond No. 9 and am wondering if the one you ordered seemed legit and fresh, not stale - what was your experience?
Mine is legit. I have had several samples of it before this purchase. The only thing was the box was a little dirty. The bottle was full and the perfume last throughout the day.
I've bought Aventus, Jubilation XV, Chergui, Midnight in Paris EDP, Pure Malt creation 2013 & samples. Boxes, juice, bottles=legit. No problems with shipping. Im happy. But, last time, i placed my order & 9 days later, no response. The following day, they sent me an mail saying they shipped the fragrances (sometimes... they do this). Other than that, great website! Shipping times? For me, 10 days which is perfect (I live in México).
Frostypower A watered down version of the original A*Men, without the tar note (opening isn´t harsh), whisky note /berries are great. Beautiful fragrance, unique, mature (not old fashioned). The "vintage" juice & creation 2013 ARE THE SAME. A must have for me.
The gray market is a vehicle by which both authentic and counterfeit products enter the consumer markets. Counterfeiting is an art form in itself (like acting, magic, cheating student, etc.) and in some cases arguably the counterfeit product may be better than the authentic one. In most cases, however, that is not the case and fake products fail in unexpected ways. More frequently, only the manufacturer is qualified to recognize the real McCoy. Since fragrance is applied direct on skin I would rather take my chances with the authentic product. While I do like to save, something that could affect my health would in the end cost me more. By the way I do not work for the fragrance industry but did work in the past for an electronic manufacturer and we did get bit royally from a large gray market, counterfeit IC purchase. The risk of using a counferfeit fragrance is likely low, but I do admint I am not aware of a health epidemic or any other horror stories.
All there creeds are legit but a word of warning the bottles they buy from creed or where ever are the ones that creed or the other stores dont want to sell. Their is nothing wrong with the juice at all but the bottels can somtimes be messed up. the aventus i have from them for exaple is a real aventus ive checked. the issues is that the silver label has a buble in it and the glass letters have cracks coming off of it. in short they are legit but they have issues which is why they can buy alot of them and sell them cheap.
I have noticed this as well. My Aventus had a ripple in the label and my MI had a slight aberration in the glass. Small price to pay to save so much money!
I've purchased Creed from Fragrancenet , Nordstrom, and the boutique. Fragrancenet's Creed was legit. They still have an A+ BBB rating as well. I know a few frag heads that order from them. Seems there would be a lot more documented complaints against Fragrancenet if they were slanging fakes
Well it beats spending 3x the price retail... So whatever.. I do feel though that the old juice isn't as potent.. Ive gotten stuff from fragnet that seemed weak as hell.. I wonder if that has a lot to do with people getting a lot different long and projection out of some fragrances.. People always attribute it to different skin types.. but im thinking maybe its not that.. maybe like food.. there are some batches of perfume that are rejects and they sell them off to the bargain bins. or grey market
Guinea54 You really can't do anything in advance. That said, fragrancenet seems to be very good at reimbursing you or swapping the fragrance if you suspect its fake. I do think its very possible like you said though regarding Bad perfume batches
Oh ok.. thought maybe theres little tricks people do like checking batch codes.. or maybe directly asking them questions etc. but i guess its just take a chance.. still worth the cost savings if you ask me.
Love your channel Cody. I bought my pure leather off Fragrancenet for 40 Dollars... totally legit. Just need pure wood now and I'll have the entire men's line :)
I’ve received used and watered down from them . It’s most likely their return policy that allows somebody to water it down and return it . Just received a watered down Tom Ford noir Extreme from them today . I will pay the extra for retail for the piece of mind .
My aventus batch was legit...it had a card with some Arabic stuff but everything checked out....great price as well...also I got some bond no 9 Bleecker street it was also the real deal....save a few hundred bucks...shipping usually 7 days at minimum though
I've seen that same complaint from a lot of people now that you mention it.
Got fake creed this week the designers are real, niche is fake.
Half of my collection is from fragnet no problems yet
Nice, it seems to be a safe bet so far
Lionel Woods i have not had any issues. Ordered same stuff that I paid 100 bucks for at Dillards. Now I have seen fakes and researched online that tell you what the fakes look like vs. Real. Mine are all real!
I see this comment is from 4 yrs ago, I plan on purchasing do you still use them? if so how do you feel about them now?
Lionel Woods ok if u think so.
I will, however, procure a new sample for compare and update when I do.
lyciumchld Great information!
dracdoc ...aaaand then I placed an order for Lapidus Rumba. Ah, well.
So far I have purchased (authentic) D&G the One, Creed Aventus, Guerlaine Vetiver with no issues.
Bigwave2003 This is actually my thought chain as well
dracdoc can you suggest good sites for purchasing cologne ?
Bigwave2003 I never understood the logic of people who think more expensive is always better. Furthermore, perfumes from that website are all real.
I've purchased 3 Creeds from them so far and they've all been quality.
Cambo48 really?
Thank you...
Alvis M mine are all real from there too. Compared To proven fake ones and mine are not
What’s the Cosmetics checker site?
But yes, I know Creed can be one that is faked,
albeit usually the more popular scents in the Line.
I got one from them that was very watered down.
They refunded me minus $6+ for shipping.
6 weeks later
good for you
i got watered down perfume from fragrancex
amd they don’t care
I fuck with FragranceNet. So far I have gotten Spicebomb, Invictus, L'eau D'issey, The One, Animale Animale, Boss Bottled, Cool Water, Aqua Di Gio and Polo Red ALL from FragranceNet. When the product arrives I check it out on the Cosmetic Calender, and so far Ive been very pleased with the age of the products I've received. The Cosmetic Calender will let you know if its real and when it was bottled. checkcosmetic.net
Wait so if it dosent tell you a date does it mean it's fake and if it tells u a date it's real ?
That's right. You enter a company name and the code on the bottom of the bottle. If the company for instance "Dolce and Gabbana" put out a product with that number on it, that's real and it tells you the date it was bottled.
+sappattack01 What's a good age for a bottle?
A good age in a bottle is like one year ago. I mean if you buy it on 2016, at least the date manufactured is like 2015 and there is a month actually, example march 2015. :)
+Cedric Errol Tanseco really ? That seems too short I've heard something around 3 years until the cologne starts having a more noticeable color change
Jimmy Stole Aw man, sorry to hear that man
FragranceNet just doesn't seem legit to me for some reason, I'll stick with Macy's & pay the retail.
abcd34545 can't go wrong with macys
I've ordered from them alot. Ive had all good ones. I think they are bottles that didn't sell well so they get snatched up by places like fragrancenet.
It’s their return policy that allows scammers to scam them , then they return them and they end up scamming the next person selling it as new.
Dummy
abcd34545 you’re absolutely right.
+Humberto Sousa Cool!
I ordered two colognes...put in the correct shipping information...they said their was a problem with shipping & it was being shipped back to the company. Called they said they would re-send but they are all out of stock..so they will credit the $92.38 back to my account. Still waiting....still haven't credited my money back.
+Tanja P have you got it back yet?
It took a while; but they finally refunded it.
I saw polo ralph lauren shirt at marshalls for 25 bucks, and the same one at the polo boutique for 55 you think is original?
I do, that's said there's been rumors that Marshall's sells either off season or ones that have a slight defect.. Dunno if any of that is true.
+Alyssa Cryer Very possible
I just bought two Creed fragrances from fragrance.net
green irish tweed and neroli sauvage.
both of them do not have the embossed spray top and the sauvage neroli had no lot number on the inside of the label, calling fragrance.net tmro.
Which Creed fragrance do you think is the best?
Thanks for this video. I just came across this site and they offered a 25% coupon. Their prices are very low already, so that raised a couple of flags for me. I'm glad to know that I can order from them, worry-free.
I agree
Awesome video as always man...
fragrancex ships faster than fragrancenet. I think one of the fastest is Lily Direct.
True on both points... ^_^
Damn-I just love the way you put this! You seem like a guy who's pretty easy to get along with.
Green irish Tweed $170 on FragNet , Green irish Tweed $395 from store. Somethins not right plain and simple .
Got some GiT comin in this week , We shall see im just worried it will be cool water mixed with Demeter or somethin.
***** Yeah i already got polo sport and polo red intense from them which was good , im just worried about creed from the horror stories.
Bro I just creed Aventus - Its fake , so fake Im going to return it and tell my credit card to dispute it - I cant believe i fell for this criminal company
tunde Mike What was wrong with it??
FragNet is legit.
I bought a bottle of Chole and it was so weak. I have been ordering from FragranceNet for at lease 2 years. One other time I ordered some Poison colonge it was fake. I sent it back and they sent me a good bottle.
I just wanna know if I order Ysl l'homme I won't get piss in a bottle.
Interesting, good to know!
I have bought from fragrancenet and BeautyEncountur and all purchases have been fine with legit products.
I have been using FN for years and have never had a problem. All legit products. It does take a week to get product but that's ok with me. Love the savings......
Cheap ass, dont buy cologne you can't truly afford to pay retail on. Thats like buying a Benz just because its on sale for $20k less than asking 😆
Do they have deals like 50% off for Black Friday?
I bought a couple fragrances where the code in the inside was cut out... mugler cologne n armani code
I used it less than a week later the card I used is comprised. Don't shop at this website
I just ordered Creed MI from them a few weeks back and it was a fake, they are allowing me to return it though, hopefully I'll get cash back. I'll update this and let you guys know.
Vei L hey, whats the update?
@@ynotrhyme he's dead. They killed him
@@rocklee5231 yup RiP I read about the hit squad silencing him
dear DOC can u suggest any good online store/site for niche perfume?
I've spent over $1000 on cologne from fragrence.net I've gotten Aventus and MI from them and I've haven't had any problems. fragrencex is good too.
There’s a Creed Royal Oud on FragranceNet it’s a 4oz bottle for $223 but the picture of the bottle has a box next to it and the box looks fake. There is no gold around the label and that to me is a red flag all over it. What’s anybody’s option on that?..
Eh.. not sure about it since picture's on the sites are often iffy
What should I do?
does it have batch code under the bottle ?
ShermSticks1 haha i can tell you haven't bought cologne in a while, Davidoff made cool water, not CK :)
Hope all is well with you,
HP
ShermSticks1 HOW DID YOUR ORDER AT FRAGRANCE.NET GO?
So how long would it take to be shipped to Australia?
I just cancelled my order.
Appreciate the insight. Thanks
How can you even watch out for old products, I fully believe that they are selling authentic products but I am sure that most of their stuff is old. I have ordered 2 perfumes from them and none of them seem to last longer than an hour, when they are supposed to last way longer according to many reviews.
I love there site never had a problem. fast shipping nice secure packaging
Hello, thanks for the video to begin with, and a quick question, would you advise to purchase a fragrance that was discontinued on fragrancenet? I know that jil sander no4 has been discontinued, franrancenet has it for a pretty reasonable price, i don't know if i'm getting a real deal with them.. thanks!!
L. Bartolotta Iw ould go for it if you want it
Happy smelling,
HP
If you use the Fragrance net app through Google, how will the charge be worded/appear on your bank account?
I've had two bad experiences with them. One of them was the Creed bottle I bought from them. The other bad experience was when I ordered 2 bottles(one expensive and one cheap) from them and after the order went through, they told me the more expensive item that I really wanted is not in stock so they shipped only the cheap bottle to me without asking me. I ended up paying shipping to Canada for 1 cheap bottle ( cost me more than a juice for just shipping)! their customer service sucks too!
Oh that sucks, first i didn't realize what you were talking about until i worked it through my head. What a shame man. Sorry
I think you said something very key that no one talks about.. Even if the fragrance is legit.. How old is the juice? it seems like a lot of times when i buy from fragrancenet the juice doesn't last as long .. I mean don't get me wrong sometimes its exactly the same..
Prices seem like they have went up. What's the new site now?
Well said Cody. I know as reviewers you guys get asked a lot of questions. Thank you for taking time to respond to the viewers. Very classy sir. . .
Cheers. . .
I purchased Coach Poppy and it smelled off and definitely didn't have staying power that the one I sprayed at Macy's.
I've purchased four fragrances from Fragrancenet thus far:
Viktor and Rolf Antidote
Chopard wish
D&G Pour homme
Armani Code
I must say, I have had absolutely ZERO problems.
Shipping has been lighting fast though granted, I am in the northeast :)
I must say, Armani code bitter smell aside, they have been absolutely FANTASTIC.
Best,
HP
All my purchases have been just fine with them. If I were going to spend a few hundred dollars on a purchase, however, I probably would buy retail.
+dstefanek1988 Also we send it to Ross, Marshalls, TJ MAXX
there are several sunglasses manufacturers, Luxotica is the biggest one I believe
Just received my Dolce and Gabbana The One EDP and the outside wrapper had been opened and re-taped closed. They cut out some labels from the box. Totally sketchy!
That same exact thing happen to my box of "the one"
was it fake? I recently bought this and a few others. shipping taking double expected delivery time
rusty gates idk but i sent it back
I have just recieved ch men prive from fragrancenet and the batchcode is invalid when i check online its also very weak and watery i am going crazy.
Versace pour homme should be legit from fragrance.net right?
i want to get the burberry london from them but what i want to know if the cologne is from burberry or is a knock off ? would you know ?
It's real , that box would be to hard to duplicate and it's not expensive.
I had ordered jpg lamalle blvgari men 360red and the jean paul lamalle only lasted 30minutes
I've had a couple where the label was scratched but the juice was fine.
I have used fragrancenet a couple times and I normally get good items that's real legit...but once I got tom ford tobacco vanille and it didn't seem to be legit..I didn't smell anything like the real thing..but I think it could have been old maybe I had lost different notes overtime..what could suggest is to use them and if you dont like the product return it.
cody...i live in tokyo its hard to find the perfume i want, can you suggest me a good online perfume shops.tnx
Thanks!
I got my Chez Bond from fragrancenet or fragrancex and just confirmed today with authentic sample they smell exactly the same. So I guess I lucked out
Great information.
What did you think about Pure Malt Creation 2013?
Frostypower A watered down version of the original A*Men, without the tar note (opening isn´t harsh), whisky note /berries are great. Beautiful fragrance, unique, mature (not old fashioned). The "vintage" juice & creation 2013 ARE THE SAME. A must have for me.
Rozzjd thanks
Seems there would be a lot more documented complaints against Fragrancenet if they were slanging fakes
my question is... how does one be careful when ordering from fragrancenet? Like what kind of precautions do you recommend.
That's the point, you can't!
You won't know the batch number until you receive it.
Love your channel Cody. I bought my pure leather off Fragrancenet for 40 Dollars... totally legit. Just need pure wood now and I'll have the entire men's line :)
Dan P Glad to help!
