Regarding longevity on skin, I've found that moisturizing or putting on non-scented lotion really helps this. Obviously more women known this trick, but it's something to think about. It made the difference in La Nuit de L'Homme going from a 3-4 hour scent to a 8-10 hour scent on my skin (dry, not oily).
I love your videos...I started collecting and its because of you. Your review ratings and description on the way frags smell and last(at least to me) are very accurate keep up the good work.
Im in the fragrance oil business and i find that Insurrection for men is one great long lasting scent...a good 12 to 24 hours easily...i love ur channel and use it as a point of reference in my fragrance reviews to get new scents in for my customers...so thank u
Le Malle is a beast I hate the smell but it lasts sprayed it on at an ulta took a shower still smelled it, got up took another shower still smelled like le Malle. Went to bed got up and still smelled it... A three day frag
C K, Joop and Le Male are my top 3, but my personal fragrance I use is a mixture of equal parts Left Male and Joop. Get yourself a 3ml sample vial and mix the two in equal parts in the vial and not on your skin. Apply it on your skin preferably after you showered in the morning for the best results. You get that clean, fresh smell (Let Male) coupled with the sweet, musky spice fragrance (Joop) which turns it into a ultra-beast male scent. Try it for yourself and give me your opinion on how it smells and morphs over time.
i have been looking for perfumes which have descent longevity for a long time thanks to you man you simply brought all under one roof.great work once again thank you for this wonderful video
I sampled Chanel Platinum Egoiste and it lasted at least 10 hours on my skin personally and it was pretty strong. I used 3 to 4 sprays on my neck and it started to give me a head ache. I bet most can get by with only 2 sprays of Platinum Egoiste, one spray on each side of the neck. Versace Pour Homme actually did quite well on my skin too with regards to longevity for a fresh fragrance. I've heard and read that Givenchy Play Intense also lasts a very long time so that's one I'd like to sample.
I really love the way you explain these fragrances, mate. it is so easy for a fragrance noob like me to understand. I blind bought a couple of scents based on your review and didnt disappoint. thanks!
I definitely agree with your evaluation of Le Male by Jean-Paul Gaultier. Huge sillage bomb. I would add additionally, Fleur de Male, also by Jean Paul Gaultier, the original formulation of Antidote by Viktor & Rolf, Noir, by Tom Ford (another huge sillage bomb IMHO), and Sung, by Alfred Sung.
would you recommend ysl l'homme originl or the new edp version which one lasts longer and which one is better? personally I still out of every fragrance I own or ever smelt l'homme is by far the best one ever. still get tons of compliments it smells sexy woman love it it lasts about 4-6hrs but everybody loves it that has ever smelt it on me its really the only fragrance I get compliments on.
Thanks so much for the awesome reviews, I hadn't really thought about fragrance since my axe days in early high school. I purchased a bottle of Issey Miyake L'eau D'issey and couldn't be happier with it. can't wait to add more scents to my collection
I've mentioned this in another video, but Armani Code Ultimate is pretty long lasting to me. Not sure if it goes for 20 hours or anything, but it easily gets me through a day of work and then some. Although I can sometimes smell it when I wake up in the morning after putting it on around 4pm the previous day.
Wonderful idea.... and you look very energetic in the vid man.. looks like we are in the weekend already... I absolutely agree with you on this list especially with Loccitaine Eau de Beaux that I own ... awaiting your next vid for the same topic on the niche side...
Also Cody, since your collection is amazing right now, you must have a few fragrances that you regret buying. I know I do. It would be interesting to see a top of that. Animale for Men was one of the ones you regretted buying if I recall well. Great video as always.
Most fragrances last on me about as long as an ice cream cone would last in Death Valley on a particularly hot day. One huge exception is Dior Leather Oud. Two sprays of that and they'll smell it on your ashes in the next century. Farenheit, when it was released all those years ago, was another. I'd put a bit on to go clubbing on a Friday night and I could still pick it up in the bedroom the following Monday.
Hey, I recently found your channel and enjoy your videos quite alot! You know, you should look into making asmr content. Your voice and the way you talk to your audience really fit the genre. I don't get tingles from watching you or something, but it's really relaxing and comforting. Stay awesome!
Awesome vid i must say i have made some purchases from watching your videos, i have "by Man" Dolce & Gabbana long discontinued now, it has to be the longest lasting frag i have worn and the most amazing smelling too!
if i was to start using non scented lotion which i don't know will help me because i have oily skin not sure what to use on my skin to make my fragrance last longer? also when putting on non scented lotion ect help the fragrance project any better?
Hi ya, so I need some pointers. My skin eats cologne. I've tried like 40 bottles mostly edt., thru vanish. I got chanel allure sport today and sent it back. I tried Opus vi, red aou d, dior Fahrenheit, mugler,. They work but darker scents. Any cologne that are woodsy and fresh with beast performance?
Bro awesome list &I want to personally thank you for all you do....From compiling various list to assemble a "total list" to you doing a reviewm....your content us just awesome....always learning to help improve feedback for mine & learning something new about scents every time you put your face on the camera.....*raises glass of oban 14*cheers &much respect bro
Haha I never thought I'd say this, but I think I need to give Le Male another try... I'm looking forward to your top 10 longest lasting NICHE fragrances video :)
you are the only one here in youtube that talks about Issey miyake. neither Jeremy nor Steve mentioned it. It's such an awesome cologne , sooooo much better than any Chanel cologne. I love issey miyake and I got more complement with it than any other cologne.
you either have a supernose or you're using the vintage versions, how come all the frags you've mentioned lasts 12+ hrs??? it's impossible with today's reformulations. according to how they're made now you would be lucky if you can get a frag that lasts 6+ max.
1. This video was made in 2013 with fragrances that I've had for years, so quite possibly yes, vintage versions. 2. Your skin does matter, this is a basic fact and not something that is "nonsense" or subject to opinion. Personally I've been to many fragrance events, launches where this is proven time and time again. For instance.. I know my skin tends to absorb sour notes differently than others. I've had fragrance creators comment about this directly. We've sprayed fragrance side by side, smelled the same frag and noticed it smells different on each of our skins (some smelled the same, some smelled different) All of that aside, these longest lasting videos are not just my opinion, but others smelling it on me. I wouldn't make a video say they last 12+ hours and they don't.
dracdoc thx for your kind answer. I do understand that a dry vs. moist skin plays a role in determining how much time the scent will stay on you but it is not a fundamental factor in deciding the true fragrance's longevity. did my point get through?
+theuncanspan also acidic skin and basey skin. I have somewhere in the middle and also a dry to oily skin as well... I don't mean that your skin will burn someone. Acidic meaning how does your skin react to metals or rather how does the metals react to being on your skin.
I usually feel like fragrances don't last even close to that on my skin, I am happy if I can still smell it some hours later, but I don't know how others feel about it. Your own nose adapts very quickly to the smell, so you won't smell it any more.
I agree with the list but i believe that Joop another fragrance out that I smelled once before and it's not as potent as the original. Issy is a great one that unfortunately alot of ppl wore it out early and most ladies can't stand it now. The body cologne lol .. can't remember the name but I only owned it once and it was stolen from me. I was so hurt that I never bought it again. I know it's a red bottle version of it, but it does not compare to the original. Thanks for the list and I'll be waiting for this yrs winter fragrance.
Hi Drac Doc, I am really grateful for you video 'top 10 longest lasting designer fragrances'. Can you kindly suggest me strong fragrant (viz. everyone can smell without approaching me) and long-lasting perfume(s), please? By the way, I wore 'dior homme intense' but it was unfortunately neither strong fragrant nor long-lasting on my skin. Thanks Ahmed
How long have you been collecting fragrances? And how much overall have you spent on fragrances? Finally, Issey Miyake, Lacoste Essential, or Nautica Voyage?
What is your favorite fragrance for the fall/winter but I'm looking for great projection (3+ feet) and great longevity (at least 7 to 8 hours) also I am a teenager in high school if that helps
Sam Crowder I'd say Luna Rossa Extreme by Prada, been using it for a week now and I'm getting a TON of compliments, I'm in high school too, and trust me girls dig it big time.
dracdoc if you haven't already, when you get some free time please do a video on frags with the shortest longevity. If only Dolce & Gabanna The One lasted as long as the fragrances listed in the video above then it would be one of the greatest frags ever created. It's such a shame that D&G The One has such short longevity and that's the main reason why I won't spend the money to buy it.
Have you try DIESEL FUEL FOR LIFE SPIRIT,FENDI UOMO,PACO RABANNE 1 MILLION ABSOLUTELY GOLD,100 CENTS these are just few that i discover that last more then 24h...JOOP! HOMME WILD is my favorite fragrance and also last for a very very long time...Just try it...
Hey cody, you should try the jacques bogart pour homme, I believe that fragrance lasted even longer than Joop on me and on my clothes, I also suggested to ManLovesCologne and he made a review about it. Also great review. I believe all about you said but I really want to mention on reformulations, La nuit's new formulation doesnt last over 6 hours, le male's new formulation gets about 8 hours and a'men's new formulation is like 10 hours. I hate that they are getting reformulating and getting weaker.
Hi Jeremy. I really love to watch your videos on fragrances. On this one, am glad about Amen by Tierry Muguler. That is my signature fragrance. Can you recommend which others would be in that same category with Amen. Regards, Bilon
For me *Bijan* has the longest longevity, followed by Dior *Fahrenheit*, and *Oud Ispahan*. Surprisingly, the Yves SSaint Laurent (la nuit de l'homme) doesn't last very long on my skin. It might just be because of my skin or that I got a bad copy.
dracdoc Bijan? I have tried the original formulation (the very first variant that first came out in the 80's and 90's, with amber colored bottles). It has huge sillage, even in small quantities. I get at least 10 hours of longevity. Sometimes the smell lingers for days. _To me_ it was the longest lasting (and I've tried many of the perfumes you mentioned)
I agree with you about YSL's Nuit de l'homme - I LOVE this fragrance, but it absolutely does NOT last on my skin or clothes, even with 5-7 sprays. I purchased my copy at Macy's here in California a couple of months ago. I was frankly stunned to see it on this list - I would LOVE to have a copy that smells like mine, but with staying power equal to something like Obsession.
Owning that many fragrances do you see yourself throwing a lot away? How do you store your fragrances to make them last? Do you just store in a drawer or closet at room temp? What's the best storage method to get the longest life out of a fragrance?
Have the reformulated versions got the same longevity as the old? If not could you review the reformulated fragrances like le male and la nuit. Thanks im new subscriber.
Great video. I have owned a few of these fragrances but ended up giving them away because they last too long after 5-8hrs my head start to spin and my nose is just on fire. Personally I found the one million too synth and I've tried subs because I love the smell. Su s like Antonio Banderas Golden Secret, Burberry-London and a new acquisition not well known in the USA Jesus Del Pozo Halloween men. What do you think?
Have you tried the reformulated version of Angel men? If so, what changes have you noticed? Cause I wanna get it I love the smell but I'm not so sure about the performance
I just got a bottle of Obsession. Did something change with it because it only seems to last an hour or two, and then fades away pretty quickly from there. I used to love it, but now I'm not so sure.
Obsession was reformulated. If you want to smell vintage Obsession, check out Classic Match (Belcam) Obsession. It's the real deal, no joke, and $8 at Walmart.
I remember vividly when Joop! launched, right before Thanksgiving '89 and it was EVERYWHERE! Obsession for Men was still king of the long haul hitters ( that's saying something because this was the late '80s). I hated Joop! and never touched it till about 8 years ago. It finally won me over but that is only because I was determined to stick it out till the drydown which takes forever, at about the 4hr. mark, then it becomes this beautiful spicy, powdery, sweetish, elixir. Great list!!
Have you ever considered YSL M7 Oud Absolu? Besides being a gorgeous scent, it survives a day on my skin. I am also curious about the performance of the original formula.
Hi, quick steer if you wouldn't mind :-) Been using Dior Homme Intense for the last couple of years, quite fancy a change even though its a great fragrance. In line with the EDP quality and in terms of how long it lasts on the skin, what would you opt for? Thanks in advance :-)
Great video, I find that versace the dreamer lasts a very long time on me, what do you make of longevity on that one? Also dior fahrenheit lasts a good while!
All are concern about le male's reformulation. now the thing is if I COLLECT le male from Amazon which may be the reformulated version than how long it could last?
Hi, I tried your honourable mention, the Issey Miyakee L'eau Dissey, it is really good, though the opening is very sour, did not like much, but the mid notes and especially the dry down is awesome, absolutely awesome. But I want a stronger version of it because on my skin it is not projecting that much after 2-3 hours, it is lasting for around 8 hours but it lasts very faintly, close to skin. Can you suggest anything similar smelling but a bit stronger in projection? (and with similar longevity). By the way I tried Hugo by Hugo Boss (Man) and the dry down of that smelled similar to L'eau Dissey. My inexperienced nose could go wrong. Do you think they are similar? Thank you for this awesome video.
your nose is the only one that matters. I think that Aqua di Gio is the pioneer of mainstream citrus' fragrances. D&G light blue is also another one similar. To me, Polo Blue has a stronger opening, however, I don't know how long it will last on your skin. For under 20 bucks Nautica Voyage isn't a bad investment.
I had the feeling that Angel Man had a constant fragrance over the hours; is it because its scent is strong with synthetic chemicals? instead, Habit Rouge de Guerlain (you didn't mention), or L'Instant extrème, constantly change....I would go for that kind of perfumes: the ones that evolve in time
Creed green Irish tweed and aventus out live all these smells, although they are made differently as their perfumes rather than edu toilette... amen,(had so many women say they dont like the smell when wearing it) joop reminds me of alcoholics and peeps trying to mask a bad smell...and John Paul are horrible which is a shame really as they do last for how much they cost.... keep up the good work bro just found your channel so have subscribed and will be watching future vids👍
Hey I hope you can answer this. I work as a chef. Frying, sauté, you name it. Any colognes you know of that you would think will outlast not just a sweaty day of work but also food smell picked up during a typical 9 to 10 hour work day. Sometimes as the chef I have to go out and speak to customers. WOULD LIKE To SMALL good for that
nautica voyage, you will love it guaranteed. Also try aqua di gio, COTY aspen, . Aspen and Nautica will run you like 19 dollars max! Also try Paris Hilton men, believe it or not that one smells fantastic, it has a cucumber note but for some reason it smells great! This coming from a non aquatic lover but I like Paris hilton man (blue cylinder bottle)
Hey Cody, I noticed how you talked about asking people in the city about their opinion on scents, I was curious as to if you just ask and approach random people about their thoughts on it or what?
How do you classify a fragrance as desisgner or niche? As far as I know, L'Occitane doesn't make any designer stuff. So, if it's not designer, it must be niche right?
Regarding longevity on skin, I've found that moisturizing or putting on non-scented lotion really helps this. Obviously more women known this trick, but it's something to think about. It made the difference in La Nuit de L'Homme going from a 3-4 hour scent to a 8-10 hour scent on my skin (dry, not oily).
I've learned a freakish amount from your videos. Great stuff, man!
I love your videos...I started collecting and its because of you. Your review ratings and description on the way frags smell and last(at least to me) are very accurate keep up the good work.
Im in the fragrance oil business and i find that Insurrection for men is one great long lasting scent...a good 12 to 24 hours easily...i love ur channel and use it as a point of reference in my fragrance reviews to get new scents in for my customers...so thank u
edward crawley Glad to help!
No doubt! Keep them coming!
could you please an updated 2015 video about this? :)
+Navjyot Hora 2016;(
+Navjyot Hora 2016 now.
Navjyot Hora
Should i say it's 2017 right now?!
Le Malle is a beast I hate the smell but it lasts sprayed it on at an ulta took a shower still smelled it, got up took another shower still smelled like le Malle. Went to bed got up and still smelled it... A three day frag
Sad that the current La nuit would have no chance on this list today
+alban productions _ Yep... exactly. it's still worth a buy but eh.... its not belonging in this list, since 2014
You can always try parfums vintage suave
Hi Cody! Will you make a new update review of your longest lasting Fragrances (Designer and niche)? Thanks in advance for your answer. Best regards.
Awesome list! Totally agree with your number 1. I look forward to the niche list. =)
Angel men is still a monster!
I blind bought a couple of scents based on your review and didnt disappoint.
thanks!
+Cyril Barrios Glad to help!
Cody, Joop is the king for longevity. I sprayed this one a card at the drug store 2 WEEKS AGO and the scent is still there! Long live King Joop!
Fantastic video, mate! Thanks for posting.
Angel Men is a beast!!! I get over a day of longevity on my skin.
would you recommend ysl l'homme originl or the new edp version which one lasts longer and which one is better? personally I still out of every fragrance I own or ever smelt l'homme is by far the best one ever. still get tons of compliments it smells sexy woman love it it lasts about 4-6hrs but everybody loves it that has ever smelt it on me its really the only fragrance I get compliments on.

oven and bed in the same room. NYC?
+Nii Amartey Manhattan
Yup, this was my studio apartment in Manhattan.
It’s the only way to wake and bake.
Wonderful idea.... and you look very energetic in the vid man.. looks like we are in the weekend already... I absolutely agree with you on this list especially with Loccitaine Eau de Beaux that I own ... awaiting your next vid for the same topic on the niche side...

Thats actually a REALLY GOOD idea, expect to see that video before end of the year
dracdoc You're awesome bro.
Thank you for your video, this is what am looking for the cologne...Long Lasting Love.
great informational video. I will keep these into consideration when choosing my next fragrance =)
Wonderful review. Keep up the great work !!

dracdoc tried em all don't like smells. Too soapy and issey smells like flowers on me. Chez bond no, I have not.

Hi Drac Doc,
I am really grateful for you video 'top 10 longest lasting designer fragrances'.
Can you kindly suggest me strong fragrant (viz. everyone can smell without approaching me) and long-lasting perfume(s), please? By the way, I wore 'dior homme intense' but it was unfortunately neither strong fragrant nor long-lasting on my skin.
Thanks
Ahmed
How long have you been collecting fragrances? And how much overall have you spent on fragrances? Finally, Issey Miyake, Lacoste Essential, or Nautica Voyage?
Great idea for a video man... Awesome job as always...
Awesome video my man and Happy Belated to you as well sir
Thank you sir!
dracdoc if you haven't already, when you get some free time please do a video on frags with the shortest longevity.
If only Dolce & Gabanna The One lasted as long as the fragrances listed in the video above then it would be one of the greatest frags ever created. It's such a shame that D&G The One has such short longevity and that's the main reason why I won't spend the money to buy it.
Thank you. I really enjoy your reviews! BTW, have you smelled Bond no.9's :Scent of Peace for Him" yet? Brand new...
I wish I could still find Fendi Uomo... that was a beauty.
Harry Iglesias Try on ebay but it is expensive...
Where can I buy L'instant de Guerlain?
Awesome vid bro. Can't wait to see the niche list :)
***** Hi.. did you try Joop homme.. to me it's even strongier than a-men and it have crazy longevity and projection.. with only 2- max 3 sprays...
any tips on how to get extended longevity ? maybe apply unscented lotion first so skin wont soak it up so fast?
I have to give Le Male another try. I do love the after 6+hrs of it. Loving Eau Des Beax more and more.
Bilon Kalumbinga A* men Pure Malt is a great choice!
Very good review! Could you do a review for Givenchy's Gentlemen Only? Really want to know what you think about the fragrance. (:
For me *Bijan* has the longest longevity, followed by Dior *Fahrenheit*, and *Oud Ispahan*. Surprisingly, the Yves SSaint Laurent (la nuit de l'homme) doesn't last very long on my skin. It might just be because of my skin or that I got a bad copy.

I was thinking with that many he could donate to a mens homeless shelter
La Nuit De lhomme literally lasts max 6 hours on my skin idk how it lasts so long on yours.. Dear lord..
Hi.. I have L 'homme libre and it last's 7-8h.. :)
How do you go about knowing how long it lasts?
longevity is individual.. on my skin is almost 8h..
Obsession was my dads go to cologne back then before he started rocking lacoste. I remember it smelled like leather and amber and yup it lasted long
Have the reformulated versions got the same longevity as the old?
Hey bro.. where did you buy the " l instant de guerlain extreme" ? I am looking for that cologne and can't find it in the US...please help ..lolll
Sir, thanks for the info. Could you plz name one among the list.
hi doc, i want to buy some new fragrances for my collection. What size of the flacon do you prefer for a collection? Great vids...!
I have... I actually love the original M7..one of my favorites
M7 is hard to find and a bit expensive. I think the colognes reviewed in this video have average price tag of 40-60 USD
JOOP! lasts longer than Le Male by double atleast.
Hi , can you recommend a long lasting summer fragrance please?
Do you use unscented lotion before applying your cologne?
I had the feeling that Angel Man had a constant fragrance over the hours; is it because its scent is strong with synthetic chemicals? instead, Habit Rouge de Guerlain (you didn't mention), or L'Instant extrème, constantly change....I would go for that kind of perfumes: the ones that evolve in time
I remember Obsession having killer longevity.
yup
300 to 400 bottles? How do you store them in a single room apartment? Do you have a separate storage that you rent?
Thanks for the video.
+dracdoc what is the best fragrabce that you have ever smelt that lasts the longest in your opinion. or top 3?
Which one from this list is your favorite? (In terms of smell) and why? Thank you
what is the difference between eau de toilette and parfume
+Gabriel Warnsley One is more concentrated than the other (EDT is lighter)
Is the bottle of Obsession you reviewed a re formulation?
what cologne would you recomend that smells really good and that women love
nautica voyage bro
smells ok you should try Versace Eros bomb👌
How long does it last though?
ed hardy love & luck is a cologne flirty for women! lol
I get 4-6 hrs longevity and projection 1.5 hr
Great list! I can add "Dsquared2 he wood Silver wind wood" lasts a really long time on my skin and even more on clothes.
I like long lasting Fragrances and that's the reason why i only purchase fragrances from Jaque Bogarts and Ted Lapidus....
WOULD LIKE To SMALL good for that
Interesting.... how heavy would it need to be ? Basically can the fragrance be heavy?
dracdoc yeah just not overwhelming
WHATS UP DOC, what’s it like to go watch these old vids
Love your videos.
hi i want to know is the Bleu de chanel is no 1 perfume till date in fragrance industry
what do you think of Cavalli Just men (Gold & blue) ? that is another cologne that hasn't been reviewed
Great video!
Nice reviews, can you do one on Vince Camuto for men?
Thanks bro
anyone know a fragrance close to polo blue or cool water. I love aquatic scents like that?
nautica voyage, you will love it guaranteed.
Kiton for Men
+dracdoc what is the best fragrance that you have ever smelt that lasts the longest in your opinion. Or top 3?
Hey Cody, I noticed how you talked about asking people in the city about their opinion on scents, I was curious as to if you just ask and approach random people about their thoughts on it or what?
How do you classify a fragrance as desisgner or niche? As far as I know, L'Occitane doesn't make any designer stuff. So, if it's not designer, it must be niche right?
thanks for another great video. 300-400 fragrances?holy! and i thought buying one a month would be too much!
i am a fan of nr.9 + nr.6 + nr.2 but would like to try JOOP
300-400 in your collection...wow...I only have about 40ish and I thought that was a lot!! Anyway...good list! I love LIDGE! :)
