My mother taught me to make this meal just like this. We usually add white rice, and in the frikkadel we also add chopped tomatoes. So delicious.
After much nagging by my daughter I finally attempted this recipe (her words - make it like Ma's - no pressure). But I followed the steps carefully and OMGeeee made this awesome dish that takes me back to my childhood. Thank you thank you thank you

I´m a South African living in Switzerland and I so miss South African foods... I do cook South African style though, beside Asian and European foods. My kids can´t eat "hot stuff" unfortunately... so whenever I cook only for myself the food is SPICY. Thanks. Going to look what fish I could use here. I suppose any sea fish would be good?

Yes you can but you will probably need more than the recipe says. Tomato paste is concentrated.
