The fallout tv show is out and after watching the entire first 8 episodes I wanted to talk about why I recommend downloading and watching Fallout, the TV series.
I’m as big a Fallout fan as can be. Absolutely blown away, way surpassed my expectations, amazing to be able to watch with family that may not like video games.
It’s mostly 100% lore accurate, they just made like one mistake with a date that can be fixed with S2 probably.
They put so much care and detail into every inch/scene of this show. Best video game adaptation ever!
Seen every episode 3 times already about to go for a 4th, maybe more after. Favorite show since The Orville I think, even the new TWD and stuff I was gushing and crying with joy watching but I’m into this even more than that.
Not one of the characters glitched through the floors or walk through walls, not even a bramen fell from the sky randomly, I'm disappointed.
What are you talking about? Maximus Glitched his foot into the floor when fighting Cooper.

Same downloading and installing rn, but I have a limited PC and this game always crashes with mods installed so I plan on playing this and New Vegas again vanilla without mods installed! Wish I had a better laptop! :(
I can’t be the only fan of fallout who teared up during the intro nuke blasts. Literally I could feel the love behind every scene. Incredible series and thanks for reviewing it Boogie.
The only detraction I have, and it's extremely minor, there was a little more sex in this than I felt was normal for a Fallout universe property. Frankly, it was handled with about as much grace as it could be given the environment, but it somewhat felt out of place. And that's it. That's the worst thing I can say about it. There's maybe a hair more sex related content than I would have used.
It's great, watch it.
Was an epic series, my favourite part is when they show the "hack" screen on the vault terminal.

Danny mc Bride, Walton Goggins, Adam Levine, fucking John Goodman and many other amazing people play an Evangelical Family. Its funny as shit, and if you live in the south, it his pretty fuckin close to home about how corrupt they are. Go watch it and thank me later.

I went into this show expecting very little from it, but I've been enjoying this series quite a bit so far. It feels like the games, even with the kind of humor that is shown. Because of this, I've had an itch to try and play Fallout 4 VR again. Couldn't deal with the motion sickness before, but I had a much weaker GPU back then compared to knows and didn't have the best framerate, so it may be more tolerable this time around lol.
My only complaints are the Ghoul Juice and solving Cold Fusion in season one, and what that does to the IP going forward.
Watching EP 5 rn and I love it
The nostalgia this series gave me for fallout 4 from 8 years ago was unreal. Crazy to me that the media I was consuming made me nostalgic for a different medium of the same ip. But pure nostalgia is the only way I can describe it.

If they would have put TES VI on the backburner to get another Fallout game out in time for the show, I would have been very pissed. They need to get TES VI out. I wouldn't be opposed to them having multiple studios so they could actually work on more than one franchise at a time, though.
I personally am against forced representation but i truly didn’t feel like there was any in this show unless people are upset that lucy is female.
Sorry no glitches, the vertabirds worked perfectly and Lucy didn't pick up everything she saw. 0% accurate. I absolutely loved this show it is so great.
Everybody praises this show as the new Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones kinda thing.. It is good, but it's not AMAZING. It's mid.
It’s really decent. It has a strong opening. It’s worth a watch.

If you’re hoping for a Deathclaw appearance just know I was too but it never happened. We get a small Easter egg at the very end of the last episode. We see a Deathclaw Skull on the ground. Just a quick way of them saying Yes we know they exist and they’re around. Hoping we get to see them in S2.
totally agreed about the supporting actors. Overseer Benjamin, [doctor?] Wilzig, knight Titus, Ma June, Elder Quintus, and Hank Maclean were all so excellent (all great well-established experienced actors). Overall I'd say they were even better than the protagonists (although to be fair they had much less acting work to do, have different roles, and had less for a viewer to assess so it's not a fair comparison to make).
It sucked and was horrible because I did not get my Ron Perlman “war never changes”

I was very worried Lucy was going to be a girl boss, and that it would be a woke fest, especially with the black daughter (who was very cute) and how the white guy punched the black guy at the door of the fallout shelter in the first 5 mins, the message being no "minorities" allowed in the bunker, despite them being friends. Boy was I wrong, what a great series, Lucy was amazing, the writing was witty, the world creation was...otherworldly! Please give us season 2, 3, 4, 5...
The point of the punching scene was they were good friends.

@@sinformant Yes, that seems to be the consensus. It means a female character so artificially amazing that it becomes unbelievable and obviously meant to pander to a political activist view, like embarrassing "patriarchy" (men) or some other such nonsense that makes story telling tiresome. Lucy was far more like Ripley from Aliens than Rey from new "SWs". Again, Lucy was fantastic! So was the rest of the cast, production, and story.

I never played Fallout, well, because I am good looking (insert SNL callout ). The Fallout miniseries is great though. Acting was amazing and the storyline and ending are great. It just sucks Lucy gets beheaded in the end!
Fallout has been my FAVORITE Video Game Franchise, since I was a kid!! 😍😝🤩 (It's literally also one of the BIGGEST Reasons that I moved to New Vegas!! 😝 / Which IS Where I found out that I have Brain Cancer! 😅 So, you could even say the Games saved my Life!! 😅) &!! After watching the MASTERPIECE That was the Show... 🥰😍😝 Haha all I can say, is that I am SOO Hopeful for the Future!! &... Of course! For my ability to return to New Vegas... 👀🥲 &!! To possibly return to the Characters & Stories that I adore & fell in love with!! Haha
I just hope they fix the weird ghoul juice retcon. Been in the fallout lore for over a decade, the shows great like really great. But the ghoul shoutout is kinda frustrating when you see the end of the show and hes capable of one shotting a power armored soldier. So did he just drink some stupid juice in the first shootout with the power armor or just conveniently forget for a cool shootout scene?

There is going to be a "next gen" update of Fallout 4 and they also updated Fallout Shelter, but tbh I don't want a new game because we had one with Fallout 76 and that wasn't good! Also find it funny that every Fallout story besides New Vegas is just daddy issues!

I mean, in order to have a Fallout 5 launch along side this show they would’ve had to start making the game several years ago, we all know how long it takes to make these games. The team was probably too busy making Starfield🤷🏻♂️
The new content doesn't arrive for FO4 until the 25th I believe. Until then, you really should play 76. New DLC was added recently, and if you haven't played since launch you're really in for a treat. The game is really fun now
I mean, while FO4 isn't new, the Fallout: London mod will be. We can play that in the meantime.

I’ll be honest I wanted to hate it so much but after just the first episode I was locked in. It’s actually very well written. Good thing this wasn’t another Halo live action disaster.

Boogie if you are going to play fallout 4 wait till the 25th, it’s getting a next Gen update to enhance stuff which is cool. And I can tell you that fallout 76 is super fun now especially if you have friends to do quests and events with. I do understand the not taking it seriously because of the launch because that was how I felt too but it’s great now
I've not yet played any fallout games, and I loved the show.
I can appreciate that lore-masters have problems with it. As a piece of entertainment it thrilled me. As a piece of marketing it made me want to play the games.

I mean I’ve never heard you rant about the Witcher series not having a new game to go with the series, and in that light, Bethesda may be banking on the same phenomenon Witcher 3 had. So there is that and it would be exactly the situation I’d be banking on if I was Todd.

If the bomb was as effective as your view to sub ratio then it was pretty good.
I say fallout 76 is worth a play now it feels like a completely different game than what it originally came out with. It has probably one of the best Bethesda worlds up there with Skyrim. It’s a shame that the Battle Royale from 76 is gone because it was actually felt really good to play and the cosmetic unlocks you got from made it into the base game.
Was amazing. Loved it. Downloaded fallout 4 for my first time ever. Never played any fallout game but after the show I was excited to try the games out. I agree they should of had a new game come out with the show but not everyone thinks like Sony thinks. Even a remake would of been cool.
I believe on April 25 they are adding some new content and an updated graphics patch for the game. I hope you enjoy your play through and keep with the Game! It just keeps getting better the longer you play.
@boogie2988 thank boogie. Love ypur videos and been a supporter for years. Like I said I just started fallout 4 last night and only like 2hrs into the game. Trying to figure things out. I used all my RADS having no idea what that ment then I think it was episode 4 or 5 of the show when Lucy had radiation poison and shot the giant roaches off Max and he said RADS and I was like awe that's what that's for lmao now I wasted them but I have been searching everywhere and have over 200 rounds in ammo for 10mm. I think I looked in every spot of the vault and home town lmao.
The puppies being abused and thrown in a fire. I just turned it off and yes I am aware, they were real. It still was hard to see.

I enjoyed the show. I haven't played the games, so it was nice to be able to enter into the universe and understand some of what I have heard everyone talking about over the years. :)
Pretty sure most of these positive reviews are paid for by amazon like they did with rings of power.
You've been around gaming long enough...you understand how long it takes to make a game....they'd also have to push the next elders scrolls game back to make a new fall out...I feel you should know better then this.
They can't just pull a great new fall out game from no where because of tbe show being good.

It was an adequately entertaining Bethesda Fallout story. Not great, not terrible. But it was not a Black Isle/Interplay Fallout story. Deep in my gut, I feel that people who like Bethesda's Fallout just haven't been exposed to the original; and if they were, they'd prefer it. But every now and then I see a fellow Gen Xer who likes Bethesda's product, and I lose a little faith in my ability to judge humans.
F76 today isn't what it was at release. The disaster with Starfield made me revisit F76, and had a good time with the new content I found there so far. Back at release I did struggle my way through most of the content (or lack of) that was there then. If you have friends to play it with, it become more enjoyable though.

Man thumbnail had me wondering. Didn’t look at any reviews until I watched it, fallout is my favorite game series. Loved the show, glad to see you did too. I never thought theyd pull off the correct tone but they did, can tell producers were fans as well.
Ive only ever played F3(+NV and all the DLCs), and F4. Is it based on F4?
Boogie the show was amazing. Im glad we agree on that. But i dont agree with criticism towards there not beinf a new game out. T.V. series go from writhing to production to screen way faster than games do.
It was good! A solid B+ or A-. Great visuals and fantastic performances by the actors. The story was a bit bare, but I suspect that was by design; the series really didn't give viewers all that much exposition. It showed you stuff rather than have characters talk at each other about it.

Fun as hell game at this point, I just haven't played it in a looong while.. I will probably wait for the next multiplayer Fallout game if I ever play another one..

I thought it was all right. Nice fx, great sets. A few weird choices about how to portray certain things. Not happy about Mr. Handy's voice but oh well. The real problem is that I know too much of the lore to be okay with some of the stuff they did. And, while the story does indeed seem straight out of one of the games, the truth is I don't think it works so well as an 8-hour _movie._ The writing in the games can be goofy in ways a screenplay can't.

I am a fan of the fallout game! And I have seen the sires and I think it is an awesome series and that it is not too scary and graphic and watch it with my family and I think it somehow should be related with the past games and the actors are great in the series!

Yeah i thought it was amazing and i was pleasantly suprised with the graphic nature of it i was almost expecting it to be kinda like the fnaf movie where the mature themes are toned down but no and im happy about that

They had to keep the cast small, it's a pilot season, if it gets a lot of success which it looks like it is they are bound to include more. Supermutants, deathclaws. I want to see someone launch a fatman at a bunch of enemies. Ghoul society etc.
