Embracing Life - Becoming Your Best Self - Episode 14

On this episode of Spiritually Addicted, I’m coming to you from the beautiful beaches of Florida, right here at Gulf Stream Park. But this isn’t just any ordinary podcast episode. As I arrive, I hear the sound of one of my all-time favorite songs-"Spirit in the Sky"-blaring from a nearby picnic. And it’s not just any picnic. It’s a sobriety celebration, with a group of rehab goers coming together to honor their recovery.
For over 230 days now, I’ve been living as a nomad-embracing life without roots, discovering the beauty in every corner of the world. Every day is an opportunity to spread love, share wisdom, and offer support to others on their journey to sobriety. It’s been a dream come true. A year ago, I asked God for the chance to travel, to learn, to heal, and to be a beacon of light for those who need it most-and I can honestly say I’ve been living that dream ever since.
This journey has turned my life into something I never could’ve imagined. I've gone from working a soul-draining 8-to-5 finance job to living a life that feels like a movie in the making. I’ve lived in my car, slept on beaches, bounced from one AirBNB to the next, worked in rehab centers, healed deep, lifelong illnesses, and learned invaluable lessons about compassion, resilience, and spiritual growth.
Over the past 230+ days, I've fasted for days at a time, discovered new love, helped people get and stay sober, and learned more about myself and the universe than I ever could’ve imagined in my 37 years. I’ve slept in churches, helped inmates, and become a sponsor for men in recovery. I’ve learned about the power of energy, how our bodies work, and how to heal from within. I’ve studied the teachings of Jesus, uncovered the secrets of breaking generational curses, and most of all, I’ve learned to trust that when you put your faith in God and the Universe, everything aligns for your highest good.
It’s crazy to think that a year ago, I would have never dreamed my life would lead me here. But today, I look around and can’t help but feel immense gratitude for this beautiful life I’m living. And it all started with making one small change every day-tiny steps that added up and led me to where I am now: a life full of love, healing, and endless possibilities.
The adventure is far from over. I’m just getting started. And I’m so glad you’re here to share it with me.
