    Welcome to my first Will It Run. Hopefully you enjoy it, I know I had lots of fun doing this video. ---- RUclips seems to be slow at processing this one, The quality should go up to 4K eventually and if not I`ll have to re upload. Leave me a comment below. Thanks for watching :)

    I was looking at a 1951 for sale recently, but since I'm 6'2", no way i could comfortably drive it especially trying to shift it. Great video!!!

    I've got a '52 M38 that hasn't run in 14+ years. Working on a carb rebuild and a re-wire right now. I love coming across these "will it run" type videos. They prove those old Go Devil's can take a beating, and still come back to life.

    • @stagealphagarage

      Thanks for checking the video out, It was a tonne of fun getting this going. I`ll get the tire fixed & oil changed to go for a longer drive! Good luck on your carb rebuild, I need to re-wire as well but I may cheat and buy a harness not sure yet. Cheers

    • @JeepGarageCA
      @JeepGarageCA 2 года назад +1

      I bought a universal harness myself. I'm doing a conversion from 24v to 12v, and I find writing oddly soothing.
      I did make a decision not to go perfect all at once, just get it running, safe, and on the road. From there, I'll focus on restoring it and getting back to near showroom looks. (But keeping some military character)

      @harryrimmer6830 2 года назад

      @@JeepGarageCA Don't change the M38 from 24V to 12 V. Surplus parts for the 24V system are still available. I would challenge you to restore the Jeep to its original condition. You will be proud to drive it.

    • @JeepGarageCA
      @JeepGarageCA 2 года назад

      @@harryrimmer6830 I'll enjoy driving it regardless of the electrical system being 12 or 24v. It was already 12v for the engine (starter, generator, coil, basically the expensive stuff.) I'm just finishing the job with the lights and replacing the rest of the 70 year old wiring, adding in a fuse panel, and respecting the heritage by keeping it as stock looking as possible.
      Ultimately, my goal, is to make it something to have fun in, that's safe, and to not obsess over having it 100% factory accurate.

    Get it indoors, up in the air 👍 How good is your tig welding 😁 convert it to 12 volts, restore it and sell it 🤘

    • @stagealphagarage
      @stagealphagarage  2 года назад

      Not sure how good my TIG welding is but I have bought myself a TIG welder & accessories. Going to start practicing on my shop truck it needs a new rear bumper & I have this really cool old steel bumper that I want to fabricate on. I figure that it is a good starting project. I posted a picture of the snow pile blocking the Willys in over on my Instagram StageAlphaGarage so you can see. I probably won't end up selling it as I am not sure I`ll be able to ever get it registered, I bought it from a Farmer who did not have time for it and he go it from another Farmer so tracking down the paperwork will be a challenge.

      Yes will be getting to it sometime between now & spring. I have to get my shop truck finished first (it should of went to the wrecking yard) but just cab corners & rockers to do now. I don't plan on restoring the Jeep to be show quality but I do want to get the mechanical and driveline done and just patch the body where needed. I like the old weathered look of it. that motor on the front that you called a winch ,sure looks like a snow plow hydraulic motor?

    • @stagealphagarage
      @stagealphagarage  2 года назад

      There are no hydraulic lines but I do agree with you its for some type of very simple electric powered hydraulic plow that just gets moved vertically.

      Well it wasn't a hamster making it move lol. Being it not insured, registered or inspected & then taking it on any public road here in Canada will result in fines & trouble.
